Alvarado Veterinary Hospital

I picked Alvarado vet hospital because they came recommended by a good friend and was really happy with the service. Dr. Jones and his staff are great everyone showed my dog so much love and care. A 10/10 experience.

We recently moved to Fallbrook, and had to leave our long time vet behind that treated our dogs since they were born, I am forever grateful to the staff and Dr Jones at Alvarado Vet Hospital here in Fallbrook who had to do surgery on our dog Molly who tore her ACL recently, I cant begin to express my gratitude on the care and concern given to her under their care. we all know how stressful it can be when our pets get sick, their like our children, and its nice to know there is Alvarado Vet Hospital and Dr Jones there to care for them when they do. I can honestly say this is the best Vet to let care for your pets when they are in need.or just for regular checkups.

We take our cat and dog to Alvarado. We've lived in North County for 25 years and have been to many vets. Alvarado is the best. Great care, experienced, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Dr. Jones was very sweet and gentle with our Lucy. He took his time in diagnosing what was wrong with her eye, I never felt like he was rushing to get us in and out, which I appreciate. He came highly recommended by friends and I would definitely come back.

I took my dog here since its close to home and need an appointment asap since she got out of my yard and the county required a vet visit within two days of returning home. I was told she sounded like she had a huge mass in her chest and was having trouble breathing (which you couldn't see with the naked eye and she is 10 years old). The estimate they gave me was almost $600 just to see if what the problem was.

This was 2 days before Christmas so I didn't have the money since they want payment at time of procedure. I then made an appointment with another vet in town and when they examined my dog they couldn't find any signs of a mass or breathing issue. They then called Alvarado Animal Hospital and asked what they thought they heard and they said they didn't hear anything. So all I can gather is that I was lied to and they just wanted to make money that day. Very disappointed.

Dr. Jones and Dr. Valdez have been so sweet to my mastiffs! They really know what they're doing! The Office staff and Vet Technicians are great as well and sensitive to my pups' needs and quirks.

I'll start by saying I still think highly of Dr. Jones and his capabilities, I found him knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. What led to a mutual parting of ways weighs more in billing and what I consider business practices. It occurred a handful of times with the most recent highlighted below but I often came away with the feeling that I was leaving an unscrupulous mechanic, I understand now more than ever the impact everything is having on pricing and as a consumer I've accepted an increase.

That being said I do think that a 400% mark-up is aggregious when as a consumer I can purchase the same medication (terramycin) online for $10.99 vs $48 for the same medication from Alvarado. I hope this comes off as an objective representation of my experience as I hold no ill-will and understand that not everything is a good fit.

I've been a client for 23 years. My pets and I are treated like family. Does not recommend unnecessary procedures or products. Cares for the pets like his own. Has always gone above and beyond. I no longer live in Fallbrook and there are no shortage of vets where I live but I always drive to Fallbrook and see Dr. Jones. It's worth it!

This is an excellent Veterinary Clinic. I have had several visits with my older cat including a surgery. The staff have all been welcoming, well organized and professional. Dr Jones is highly skilled, compassionate and explains options and the course of treatment well. Although very busy, he gave me the time I needed to feel comfortable with the best decision for my Buddy.

Dr. Jones is an amazing veterinarian. He and his staff are always friendly and helpful. Dr. Jones has been our veterinarian for 20+ years, he has always been honest and caring. I highly recommend his practice.
