This web page approaches life from the perspective of Wellness. Wellness is the subjective experience of living Health; knowing intellectually and intuitively the Oneness, Simplicity and Ease in the midst of diversity. Absence and reduction of disease is only a by-product. Our animal and plant friends know and live this naturally; our association with them helps to remind us of our own connection to the All.
It is out of this oneness that Holistic Medicine (as well as everything else ) arises. It is from this newly awakened perspective that the once mundane is seen eternally refreshed and made whole.

Services
The Fairfield Animal Hospital provides veterinary medicine and surgery; modalities include traditional as well as alternative approaches to healing. The patient is seen as a member of a larger living environment in which the many varied dynamic forces of life take place. Attention is placed on encouraging rebalance at a higher level of Wellness rather than manipulating the symptoms of disease.

This doctor needs to be fired. My dog was sprayed there and he said she had one overy and sent her back. Eight months later, she had puppies. They refused to pay us back. We took her to a different vet and figured out that he only took out half of her uterus AND that she had another one right by her first one. He failed to spade her, and to see that she had two uterus. He's either going blind, or stupid.

Fairfield Animal Hospital is the absolute BEST! They have saved the lives of two of our pets. Dr. Pollack and Brenda are kind and loving with all of our pets and with us, too. They are the perfect choice and we highly recommend them. Fairfield is fortunate to have a loving and holistic veterinary hospital. Thank you Dr. Pollack and Brenda for everything you have done for our family! We love you!

So this is a hard thing to talk about, we had a dog with a punctured trachea. Small dog, it happened on the Saturday afternoon so we had nowhere to take her. These guys were the only people that can get us in a timely manner and I do appreciate the flexibility there. Long story slightly shorter the vet didn't really take us seriously when we took her in they gave her a cortisone shot which prevented our real vet on Monday from giving her the real treatment she needed they also flushed the wound which was the right thing to do and then stapled her neck shut.
They had us then continue flushing the wound over the next few days three times a day through a tiny little hole they left under the staple with some saline solution that he sent home with me. I gave her all the medications and flush the wound until I was able to get her into a real vet on Monday. The real vet told me I'd done a great job of keeping everything clean and flushing the wound but Unfortunately because the wound had been stapled shut and there was not enough drainage when she was trying to breathe while being flushed she was sucking that solution down into her lungs. Im no vet\doctor but I feel like I should have realized how terrible that advice was when I got it, but I just trusted the vet.
Once the liquid was in her lungs with the other problems related to the original injury and the amount of cortisone (at least I think it was a cortisone shot I'm not a doctor I just know it was a steroid) they were unable to give her other steroids to help. In the end because of the advice I got from this veterinarian on how I should take care of my dog I essentially drowned her.
I don't want anyone else to ever have to deal with this. I'm sure this vet is probably fine if you want to get your pets spayed or neutered maybe for a broken leg or something but in an emergency situation I would never ever take my pet to this guy. He didn't take me seriously when I took her initially and then gave the worst possible advice.
