Services
When I was 13 years old, I had a $5 bet with my older brother that I would become a veterinarian. Obviously, I won that $5, plus interest! I opened my solo practice in Ontario in 1990. Now after 31 years and a lot of soul searching, I have decided to step away from private practice to pursue other interests and opportunities like fly fishing, gardening, photography and spending time with my husband, Congressman Cliff Bentz, in Washington DC. I am still hoping to find a buyer for my boarding business so that the care of your pets can continue while you are away.

It's not a animal hospital anymore it's a groomers where you can get your dog or cat groomed the veterinarian part is closed but if you looking to keep your animals looking good go to the back of the veterinarian hospital and you will meet a young lady by the name of lex who does a wonderful job on your animals our dog goes there every 3 months and we are extremely pleased with the work she does

Found an injured falcon on a Saturday and couldn't get a hold of fish and game. Dr Norman had me bring it in for them to treat and get it to fish and game! Truly a vet that cares about all animals. However, my cat that has just a broken leg died under anesthesia. and I've requested my pets records multiple times since being notified that they're closing and have never once received a response. I've called and emailed per their instructions. I need their records for their new vet and to get them licensed via the police department. No responses whatsoever.

Called looking for veterinary care for my skunk, and got a rude argumentive shut down instead consisting of "illegal to own a skunk, so we don't see them." I tried to explain I have a permit from Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and she didn't even want to hear me, she shut me down with same comment. Not all animals are illegal across the board!
Some require permits! My skunk has had been desprayed, neutered, has had ongoing vaccinations, microchip, . and all was not done overnight by black market vets! His misfortune is that we have relocated to an area of Oregon that is ignorant.

I brought my Savannah cat here to get him checked up and simply because he was a little skittish and frightened of the new environment, they refused to even handle him or examine him in any way. They made me put him on the scale and read his weight. Even though he wasn't attacking anyone or even being that unruly, they insisted on giving him a load of sedatives to do basic tests and then they still wanted to put an anesthetic mask on him.
They seemed impatient and spooked by my cat's behavior. you would think that as trained professionals, they would be adjusted to animals that don't want to be there and they would know how to better deal with animals that are having emotional reactions to the new space, especially ones that aren't very big, like my cat. Despite the big price tag, they also didn't do routine vet upkeep like trimming his nails while he was sedated.
They still charged me for a physical exam, even though they ended up only doing half of it. Their knowledge of any hybrid breeds was poor at the least, despite them being legal in the state. Communication of results was also mediocre, they didn't even call back my contact number that I listed on the vet intake form, and called my friend instead. Would not recommend for anyone with exotic pets or pets that have anxiety about going to the vet.

They are amazing. I brought in a kitten that I honestly thought wasn't going to make it, came back in the late afternoon and it was like nothing was wrong with it. We didn't quite figure out what had happened but the staff was great and the vet stood there and actually talked to me about it. That meant a lot. I dont know if the kitten is out of the woods but the efforts, the costs, and the friendliness of this place is amazing.

I wish I could give this place a 0 star rating. After they gave my reptile medications they told me he will get better in a few months. Today I had to bury my best friend. I called them a few times and no call back. I called today before he passed because he was sick they said they could see him Monday but I said he won't make it till then so the receptionist said she would leave a message for the vet to call me after her appointments today and still no call back. I have not recieved any calls.its hard to help my pet when I can't even get a call back. Now he is gone.

We found a beautiful black male cat and just wanted to see if it had a microchip in it. Ontario Animal Hospital agreed to accept it as a foster and look for its previous owner. If no previous owner was found they would find a new owner. This was far beyond what we had expected and very kind. Thank you so much. It's lovely cat deserves a new home.
