We have been going to Zimmvet for many years for all of our dogs. Some of our dogs have had more complex health and behavior issues and the staff there has always provided high quality care with compassion. The staff explains everything in detail and is up front about cost. We are thankful to have such a fantastic clinic nearby with an amazing, animal-loving staff.

ZimmVet always goes out of their way to ensure my pets are happy and comfortable during their visit. Staff are always great at answering any questions or concerns that I may have regarding my pups. Both of my dogs really love going to the ZimmVet to visit staff during their yearly checkups, I couldn't recommend them enough. Pricing for services is also great, and we always get our medications through them as well!

Everything ran so smoothly! The dr answered all of my questions and concerns! The atmosphere was calm for my pupper who has separation anxiety and they went on his own time! All over would highly recommend Zimvet to all let parents

For starters, I bring my big pup here for vet services and absolutely love them all. They are patient and so nice with my Odin, he tends to be a wild dog. I never had a bad experience. This weekend was my first time using the pet hotel, and Odin means the world to me so I was sad/nervous leaving him for the first time with anyone. They took the best care of him. They sent me pictures every morning to let me know he was doing good. I will never bring him anywhere else. I love zimvet.

Our little River had his annual visit this week. Dr. Soderberg is absolutely amazing! She listened to our concerns and provided options for treating his allergies. River will be a forever patient

Always a great experience when I have to bring either all or one of my crew in. Most recently brought my Chihuahua in for her dental cleaning and, being the crazy dog mom I am I always worry, had to concerns with leaving her in their care. Definitely plan to go here with all my dogs current and future.

Very friendly staff. They have a lot of patience with my fearful pups. Answer all questions. Demonstrate care and concern. Highly recommend!

Are you still bribing people to write good reviews.sorry haven't been there in awhile but I know its why I left.well that and being harassed to get every vaccination under the sun and being told my PUPPY has bad hips because he was limping.(apparently you can just tell by looking wow such skill).which he does not. In fairness I think some vets are better than others.every vet at the clinic will tell you something different.

I had brought my puppy there that I knew nothing about. The tech I had was the sweetest to my puppy! I loved the experience we had. The tech was so helpful for us! The doctor we had filled me with so much information about my pup. Definitely the home vet for our little pup.

I forgot the time of my appointment and mistake it for 11am when it was 11:40.feeling rather embarrassed that I drove all that way, me living a half hour away and seeing no point to head back sat around and waited for said appointment, my kitty was grumpy and doesn't like the cage so I let him out to sit with me, soon they offer me a room for him to play in for the next 40 minutes. The staff here is wonderful and very professional. it's clean and spirits are lively here.good place to take you pet!

Generally they are very good and reasonably priced. However when I tried to order a refill for heart worm protection for my dog from an online source, which was much less expensive, their policy basically prevented me from the online store until I had annual appointment. I understand that this is the best way under normal circumstances, but it is not cost acceptable to me.

I have kept my dog under the heart worm medication every month, so there is a very, very low risk with continuing her medication. But in effect, they are sacrificing my dog's well-being by not refilling her heart worm medication when it ran out. They insist on having the annual exam, which is +$200/year, in which I am certain they will find everything in good health. I'd prefer to do the exam every two years, but I need the heart worm medication, so in essence they are putting my dog at risk. I dislike this policy and will look for another vet.

I would definitely recommend ZimmVet! We had our first puppy appointment today and it was great! All of my questions were answered and more. I got lots of recommendations on caring for my pup. We will be continuing to bring our dog here!

I am not one to write reviews but I had to get this out there somewhere. A couple months ago I was an aspiring vet tech and Zimmvet was kind enough to reach out to me and see if I wanted to shadow someone. Not having much experience I happily obliged. I wanted to see what it was like behind the scenes but to my horror it was nothing like I was expecting. I'm usually one to give the benefit of the doubt but there wasn't much wiggle room.

I was out in the reception area when a couple brought in their dog. On his side was a MASSIVE gash, they said his brother had pushed him into a fire pit. They told the doctors to do whatever it takes to help heal him. After bringing him towards the back we kind of just stood in the middle of the back room. It was awkward. Thankfully the wound on the dogs side had clotted and there wasnt and blood dripping.

One nurse though it would be a bright idea to spread some kind of goop on the wound. She touched a tender spot and that poor dog screamed bloody murder. It took about three people to get him pinned down and by that point the wound was no longer clotted and there was blood all over the floor. They took the dog and kind of shoved him in a large kennel. Using some paper towels they wiped up the blood.

I asked the doctor if they would give the dog some pain killers and she said they had to wait for the go ahead from the parents. I remembered the family saying to do whatever but I didn't work there so I kept my mouth shut. The poor baby was shaking as he laid there. I left about an hour later. Unfortunately the dog had yet to be given any pain medication and the blood spot was never disinfected. So much for wanting to be a vet tech. I was horrified.

I really wish I didn't have to write a review but I do. We lost our beautiful cat last Thursday March 19. That in itself is really hard to deal with but when we found out why it crushed us. We had been using Zimmvet for almost 2 years since moving to the area. Our cat had been on medications for 5 years prior to that. We found out from zimmvet that an error made last May on our refill was the reason for his decline and ultimately his passing.

The refill had an amount of medication 10 times the amount he was supposed to get and it got okd by the vet. So we were basically poisoning our own cat. There were times when this mistake could have been caught but wasn't. At his july appointment when his blood levels had doubled, in August or November when we had him boarded there with the bottle of medication, and in January when we again had the medication refilled.

We pray this doesn't happen to anyone else. So if you do use Zimmvet and have medications from them make sure you double and triple check so that this doesn't happen to you.

Great work my dog loves it there everyone is so nice they have a great area for dogs to play in if you put your dog in the dog hotel every night they tell you how your dog did I love it here definitely recommend

I have nothing but great things to say about the whole staff at ZimmVet! From the time we walked in the door until the time we left, everyone was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Our German Shepard was very sick, but with the help of Dr. Olson and all of the vet techs, he is on his way to better health. I know the other reviews are old, but in case someone was reading now, I wanted there to be current review that provides today's ZimmVet team and care.

This veterinarian practice is fantastic! Dr Krenz is amazing and I just love their doggy daycare!

I moved from Minnetonka to Elk River in 2009 and tried ZimmVet out. I found that they were very pushy and felt like they were trying to sell me everything under the sun. I ended up going back to my vet in Minnetonka who I loved. About 5-6 years had passed and I had two emergency situations come up. 1-My German Shepherd cut the top of his foot and needed staples and 2-my German Shepherd was hit by a car.

In both of those situations, the staff there were AMAZING! I no longer felt like they were pushing to sell me anything, which was a HUGE relief as I love all my animals but I can't always afford all of the services available.they've totally changed their approach! They fully explained to me all of my options and presented me with the full cost of every option prior to service being rendered so that I could make a fully educated decision and nothing came as a surprise.

My animals are my fur-babies and their lives truly depend on the care they receive from their Vet. So to me, recommending a Vet is extremely personal. Because ZimmVet is so knowledgeable and take the time to educate me, they treat my fur-babies and I with respect and kindness, and because they truly care, I have been moving my pets from my prior Vet to ZimmVet. I would highly recommend ZimmVet.

We have boarded our two dogs at the Zimmvet Hotel a number of times, and we are just thrilled with the care our beloved pets have received. Staff is very responsive to any questions or concerns we have had, and they even give a great rundown of how things went. We've also put the dogs into Zimmvet's doggie daycare, and our dogs love it. They are well taken care of and love the workers.

There was an instance where one of our dogs needed to be seen by one of the vets, and the we were immediately called and okayed treatment for a minor issue, which was dealt with immediately. The problem was clearly explained to us and we felt very confident in the recommendations for care that was needed. We would not hesitate in recommending Zimmvet, Zimmvet Hotel, or Zimmvet Doggy Daycare to anyone.
