Everyone on the team is SO accommodating and helpful with our Dandy. They have always been willing to work with our incredibly busy and hectic schedules. I love that you can text them to schedule and ask questions and get a response usually within the hour/day. They have made our first experience as horse owners extremely easy and helped us with our "dumb" questions lol! Could not imagine a better service. They always let us know if they are running late so we can adjust. They offer so many services from dentistry to foaling, making it easy to schedule what you need. Cannot express enough how kind and helpful everyone on their team is. So glad we found them when we did! Thank you South Shore!!!

I use to love SSEquine. but it seems all the best staff /Doctors are gone. We asked very kindly for them to not shave one of our horses under any circumstance. They told us they would not need to in anyway. Before we even get back to our farm we receive a call that he was shaved. not asking permission just doing it without owner consent. When we were upset the owner ( a male) called me and my coworker/horse owner ( both female) screaming at us.

I have heard about his ego losing business but to witness it first hand. Unacceptable. Later that night myself and two of my clients received unprofessional text messages from the office secretary. Overall seek a vet with less drama who doesn't feel entitled to do whatever they want to your horse without permission. There is a reason why all the big local barns, even five mins away, do not use SSEquine.

Patient, knowledgeable and responsive. The equine vets I've worked with at South Shore have been top notch, taking thorough care of my horse and answering all my questions. Very grateful for the entire team there!

Beautiful facility with amazing staff. They truly put the horse first and it shows. Sherri at the front desk is so helpful and knowledgeable I knew this was the place for me. Love the services they offer and the exceptional care they show to their patients and clients. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for the best care for their horse.

So great! THE equine experts. Switched to this vet about a year ago. We're a small backyard farm and can't rave enough about the expertise, care and service we get from SSE. They've accurately diagnosed and effectively treated elusive lameness problems, tick-borne disease, and choke to name a few. Excellent for emergencies and routine shots, teeth floating etc. Highly recommend!

I don't have horses but have gotten medicine for my kitties. The stuff and doctors are great, but Sherri Schmidt does a great job at the front desk. She always greets you with a smile and if you call sherri is very polite and good customer service. If you leave a message Sherri always returns your call.

South Shore Equine has an awesome staff. Always attentive and personable. I had the misfortune of bringing a horse to their facility to be euthanized. Luckily a familiar face, Sarah W. Was there and made my experience alot easier. I definitely recommend them! Thanks Sarah!

I attended an Open house here and the facility and the grounds are beautiful. It is a fascinating facility with all of the equipment needed to diagnose and treat your horse. The standing MRI and surgical suite were impressive. I did not even know there was an option of a standing MRI. The staff was so pleasant and knowledgeable. Sherri was so pleasant and you can tell the passion she has for her job and the horses the clinic cares for. I give it a 10 on all levels.

A reliable and professional clinic with very kind and caring staff. Sherri Schmidt works the front desk and is so knowledgeable and helpful and such a pleasure to talk to. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of an amazing horse Dr.

Dr. Buchanan has been the vet to our horses for a very long time. She is on point, very caring, communicates well, has great rapport with our horses and has a way of easing us through a tough situation. We feel so lucky to have found her and SSEC. The office staff are friendly, helpful and timely in getting info. Sherri has been my go to person for everything and she patiently listens to my long explanations and rapid fire questions, always answers the phone with "how can I brighten your day". The truth is knowing they are there and responsive is better than brightening my day, especially when one of the horses needs care. Check them out!

DO NOT get meds from these people! They charged me over $70 (on top of the farm call charge)for a tube of banamine which is 31.95 on their own site online. I didn't realize the charge until the vet left, and when I called the office to inquire about the charge, thinking they made a mistake, the woman who answered the phone was rude and said that was the correct price.that they had 'expenses' to get the meds into the clinic. Ridiculous money grab. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

South shore has taken care of my 2 to 4 horses for 11 years. They’ve never pushed a test or treatment that I was uncomfortable doing. I’ve called them to put my horse down twice in 2016 and when the dr got there, and he was back on his feet. They looked in his eyes and said he wasn’t ready to go. He’s still hopping around at age 38. When I called them about my other horse this month, Dr Owens took one look and comforted me by saying it WAS time. I needed to hear that. Just all around good people.

My horse has seen Dr. Cimetti for 10 years and I couldn’t say enough good things about my experience with SSEC. Having said that, my good friends mare fell two nights ago and completely shredded herself to pieces.. keep in mind we live on an island.. SSEC had us ship right up and Dr. Owens did a PHENOMENAL job not only saving the mare but keeping all three of her humans calm and informed, she was incredibly professional, positive and truly took care of all 4 of us.. if you’re ever in need SSEC has got you covered

They came to my house at 9:30 on a Friday night and diagnosed my horse using a snap test with Lyme and Anaplasma. IV treatment at the hospital for four days was very reasonable. The vets are all very nice and spend a lot of time answering questions. They are all horse people who own horses- not just horse doctors. They have an acupuncturist, and are up to date on all latest innovations and medications- including herbal ones. The Wellness plan ensures your horse gets everything you need. I also like that they have workshops to educate clients and anyone else who wants more information.

I brought my pony here about 2 yrs ago due to severe colic symptoms which turned out to be kidney issues. He stayed with them for about 4 days. The facilities were awesome, not to mention incredibly clean and well-managed. The staff, from office secretaries to the vets, were excellent! They were gentle, very thorough and knowledgable, not to mention they kept me updated several times per day.

With their help my pony recovered and we were able to bring him home! They also sent us home with packets on caring for him/medicine and doses, etc. The overall cost of 4 days treatment was reasonable and fair. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!
