Howell Veterinary Care Center - Brian Howell

I have been taking my dog here for the last 5 years and have not had any issues up until Dr. Howell left. I made an appointment for my dog to have some maintenance things done on top of his wellness exam and the vet did everything, but what I scheduled his appointment for. Not only was I unhappy that I drove out here to have nothing I wanted done, but my dog was prescribed medication without even consulting me first.

When Dr. Howell was still here the nurses made sure to give me the time of day and listened to my concerns. They would then ask me what I can afford and provide options to me based on what I could afford. They did not do that this time. They told me they were prescribing him medicine to help with the persistent licking and left me no other options.

When I went to pay, I was blind-sided by how much the one prescription cost on top of everything else I was paying for. The prices for some services/medications have increased and I was not notified that these prices were changed, so again this vet visit cost me more than it ever has in the last 5 years of going here. Additionally, I was also unhappy with how I overall felt during our visit here recently.

I felt like I was brushed aside and spent more time in the room by myself than I did talking with a nurse or vet about some of the concerns I had. I am overall displeased with how our appointment went the last few times of going here and I will be looking for a vet elsewhere who gives their patients and owners the time of day and provides options and alternatives.

I'm so happy we switched to Howell Vet! The staff is great and my nervous mini dachshund does so much better with their care !

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value Please NOBODY go here. They have the absolute worst customer service. They will treat your pet for random things without your approval and charge you for it. They refused to give medication that a pet needed and then blocked the door just because they wanted money. DO NOT trust this place. They need to be shut down.

Horrible this vet told me the visit would be under 200 they did 0 shots on my kittens they did nothing but clean the kittens ears when I went to check out they charged me 511 dollars and then when I said I have 200 I can pay and make payments the lady insisted I apply for a credit card then when I said no she insisted I call friends and family for money then when she refused to let me make the 200 payment I said I was leaving and the lady blocked the door and would not let me leave and I had to call the police I just spoke to my breeder also she said it states on the paper work I gave the vet from her that they were already tested for lukeemia and they were givin the paperwork showing and still tested them again knowing they can't develop that money hungry vet!

10/10 experience. They are professional, prompt, and so kind, and they are very reasonably priced This place was an answered prayer for me. I called every vet office in the area (12 to be exact )and Howell Veterinary care center was the only vet office willing to help us on such short notice. I am truly blown away by the kindness they've shown to not only my fur baby but to me and my children as well.

I've never had such a pleasant experience with a vets office before, and I've been to many. My cat got excellent care and is now on the road to recovery thanks to HVCC. I'm so grateful to have found them! I will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

This was the only office that was willing to accept us when everybody was getting their 4 legged friends, and we couldn't have been happier with the decision to go and stick with them. Albeit a drive for us, it becomes a fun field trip! We took our dog, Ella, there the day after we got her and have gone multiple times for the check ups, vaccines, and even a spay! I would wholeheartedly recommend this office!

I had the best experience at Howell Vet yesterday! I was able to get an appt pretty quick & was in and out in 30 mins! The staff was so friendly & put my nervous Luna at ease : I highly recommend them to anyone! Affordable, clean, friendly, & close to home!

Just took my baby yorkie in as a new patient when our previous vet couldn't see us for over a week. They are our new vet! Won't even look back! I am so thankful I found this vet. They were so friendly, honest, and caring! Also the pricing was reasonable and I appreciate that! Thank you Howell Veterinary care center!

Such a great vet clinic! Everyone there is so kind and helpful and they answered all my questions about having a new puppy. They were so great when my little westie had an ear infection and just for general checkups as well! Super affordable and just a great place to go! This place was wonderful to work with. Our 18 year-old tabby cat Tickles recently had a stroke and was getting worse so we unfortunately needed to put her down. Our regular vet couldn't fit us in so we came here. I am so glad we did. The staff (Brook especially) was so professional and caring throughout the entire process. They were kind on the phone as they added us as a patient and then gave us clear instructions on what to expect coming in.

Once we arrived, they took us to a side room and gave us as much time as we needed with Tickles, checking in with us and asking how we were doing. They then explained the entire process before the doctor came in and allowed us to exit through the back so we were comfortable. They then sent us the absolute sweetest card expressing their sympathy for our loss.

The price was very reasonable and we know they treated our cat with the care and dignity she deserved. We don't have any other pets at the moment, but when we do, we will take them here. Highly recommend.

Howell vet saved my cats life! Even though he was a VERY difficult and GRUMPY pet patient everyone there has been awesome to him. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great caring vet to give them a call you will not be disappointed! LOVE THEM!

Just left there for my dog Groots first appointment and the experience was great. All the staff was kind and helpful.

This is the only vet we will take our dogs to, they treat your animals like family and do a great job with them.

Dr. Howell has seen my cat Toby since he was a kitten. Toby is 22 now. Dr. Howell and his staff are very knowledgeable and caring for all animals. He's a great Vet.

I took my Boston Terrier in there yesterday and he absolutely treated her very good. I do believe he loved animals. and he did help me with some paperwork. thank you. Howell veterinary Care Center
