We continue to monitor CDC guidelines for healthcare settings, as the health of our team and community is important to us! Masks are required for entry. At Dandy Acres, you have the whole team on your side! At our multi-Veterinarian practice, all of our Veterinarians work closely together on many cases behind the scenes so that your loved one often gets multiple Veterinarians for the price of one!
It is very difficult, if not impossible, for a single Veterinarian working by themselves these days to keep up with the ever-changing world of modern medicine, not to mention being able to afford the type of training and equipment affordable health care requires.

Services
Dandy Acres Small Animal Hospital will take care of your pet's mouth. Dogs and cats use their mouths for everything. Nearly every dog or cat over the age of five has a problem with its mouth. Did you know an animal's tooth enamel is four times thinner than a human's? Think of your pet's tooth like an iceberg - most of it is hidden, so most problems aren't obvious.
Reduce inflammation and help to stimulate the healthy growth. Laser therapy is a non-invasive and effective way to treat and manage many different conditions such as arthritis, gingivitis, wound care and more. It has been a Godsend to many of our patients. The laser consists of multiple light waves that reduce inflammation and help to stimulate the healthy growth of cells and tissue so that the healing process can begin. This is a wonderful in clinic therapy that we offer and is painless and time efficient for our patients.
Ultrasound Services at Dandy Acres features a full-service ultrasound suite and trained ultrasound crew. Your dog or cat can't tell us what's bothering them. In order to diagnose your pet's problem, we use our training, experience and state-of-the-art technology to determine the source of your animal's discomfort.

We dropped our cat off for a procedure and after an x ray they determined she didn't need the procedure. This shows that they do care about your animals and not just the money. They are very fond of gabapentin and trazadone. They will also tell you your animal is fat. The walls are very thin and you can hear what's being said at other people's appointments.

These guys are great! They spayed my dog and everything went well. And they even called me a few days later to check on how she was doing. And then about a week later they called again just to make sure she was healing up alright. I have never had a vet reach out like that in all my years and all my dogs. Mercy May and I thank you!

I love them! I was emergency kind of walk-in, they are able to schedule me in the afternoon of my 2-day new puppy having diarrhea all day the day before! They spent long hours with my puppy & me; at first I was not pleased, it was video exam from Dr.; But, I then realized it is better pre-cautious routine after my puppy contracted contagious virus causing his diarrhea; they have to sanitize whole room & change cover-all for next visitor. Great job Danny Acres!

This was our first time at dandy acres and I will say they were awesome. We have a 5 month old lab and they treated her like family. Place was nice and clean and we were welcomed right in. Will continue to go back. Thanks for being a great place for us to bring our dogs dandy acres. Update on review 4/16/22 I have switched vets because of the situation that we had with our lab.
So the staff and everything was very friendly and there a great vet but I went there for a second visit for shots and my lab thats 6months now was alittle snappy and the girls wouldn't touch her. I expect them to be a little cautious but this was kind of ridiculous. First off second time I was there with no vet only virtual meeting and that's not good for the dog in My opinion.
I paid over 160 dollars for them to sit there and feed My dog treats. I feel I deserve a refund for the visits. They did absolutely nothing. Now like I said I switched vets and got everything done in 1 visit that dandy wanted to do in 5 visits. Costing me over 300 dollars more on top of the 260 I have already spent. I couldn't do that or should I.
I'm not saying dandy is a bad vet by any means but I feel money was definitely the main priority here. I talked to Francis the first time I scheduled the appointment and he was great I just hope they can make this right in some way. I feel I was robbed for money and will not consider taking my dog back unless they can refund me some money for my visits that I feel I paid for nothing. Take this how you will but this was just my opinion.

I absolutely love the care my goldendoodle receives at Dandy Acres! She has anxiety and they always give her so many lovies (and treats). They really do care for your pet like it's their own-from yearly checkups to when they are sick. I'd recommend this facility to anyone needing a veterinarian for their fur baby!

Our cat was sick & we hadn't been found a vet in our area yet (had moved). We were recommended to Dandy Acres from another vet that couldn't get us in & BOY AM I HAPPY THEY DID! The WHOLE staff was amazing & helpful & courteous! Loved them! Thank you so much for helping with Mort - hopefully he recovers and we will see you years to come! (he is old and age definitely has set in).

Caring and compassionate vet clinic. They have a separate surgical team, which allows for better focus and care. Great follow-up communication. They have stepped up with technology during the Pandemic with appointments available where the Dr. is remote, and the Techs are in the room with you and your pet, using cameras to visualize the pet, including in their ears.
This is in addition to the in person Dr. appointments, and yes, you can be with your pet. Only drawback is no overnight hospital in South Lyon. Not sure what happens if that is needed, hope I don't have to find out.

I paid nearly $300 for a routine check up and two immunizations for our dog. A few weeks later I decided to take her somewhere else for a recommended procedure and asked for my records at which time they refused to share them with me. Apparently, they claim they undercharged me for my almost $300 dollar visit and wanted another $200 before they would release my dog's records. I told them it was dishonest but got nowhere.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality STAY AWAY! My dog went in for a tooth extraction only to be picked up to learn half of the poor dogs mouth was taken out! I'm sickened I'm outraged I'm disgusted! Over 20 teeth taken out, they are after the money, it's heartbreaking this young dog is now disabled for life. Go somewhere else.

Our sweet boy hurt his foot and they got him right in, followed up continually and took excellent care of him. Gouda was cared for by Dandy Acres while in foster and before he was adopted by us. They took exceptional care of him and understand him better than anyone. Chris is wonderful! We are very grateful to have them to take care of our baby.

I have been a client for 6 years with my 2 dogs and a cat. The service the last couple of years has been sub par if not unacceptable. The wait times are 30-40 minutes past your appointment and they rake you thru the coals anyway they can. This place once was a professional, reputable veterinarian. Not anymore. Running a clown show! Sayonara Dandy acres! You have lost my business and others to come!

Completed first visit for my 11 yr old Schnoodle Very impressed with associates contact and interactions. Education on interventions for optimal health and wellness was delivered in a professional manner. Their willingness to provide supportive measures and documentation was considerate and appreciated. I am feeling very secure that I chose this particular Vet Practice

We've been taking our dogs to Dandy for 15+ years because of their consistent, professional, and caring approach to veterinary medicine. I've seen them get down on the floor to make our rescue dog feel more comfortable and pick up our smaller dog to snuggle her. Their follow up after major appointments is 5 stars! If your furbaby is your baby, go to the BEST and bring them here.

They were all so sweet, understanding, and gave my daughter and I support. We had to put down our sweet cat after having him for 21 years. We miss him sooo much. Thank u for being there for us it was a very difficult time. My daughter grew up with him. The staff let my daughter put him in the bag and was able to carry him home to be put to rest. You have no idea what that meant for us to be there with him at the end. He passed away so quietly. I was holding his head. Thanks again. April and Kayla Cameron

Dr. Weeg is the best Vet I've ever used! Her medical and behavioral knowledge makes the world of difference when handling my two dogs who are afraid of being restrained, getting shots and blood draws. She is so patient and kind to my dogs and truly cares for their over all best interest. She is also amazing at explaining anything medical that comes up. Dr. Weeg has been able to accomplish so much will the minimum amount of stress at appointments.
I really believe she could be the Vet to help my dogs overcome their fear of Vet appointments. Also, the staff I have interacted with has been wonderful and kind as well. This is a Animal Hospital worth every penny!

Dandy Acres is just AMAZING! I brought my new Puppy in for her first check up and Vaccines. They were very professional and personable. I really appreciated how they took the time with me and asked many questions about my little Daisy Mae. I want to thank Shannon Mooney for guiding me in the right direction and for all of her help. I'm so glad I found a vet that I feel so comfortable with and I feel 100% confident she will be in the best hands for preventative care.
