Good service and people. They also gave me the Exam price on the phone, before the service even started. I tried Loving Care on NW Highway, but they refused to tell me the basic Guinea Pig Exam price till AFTER the Exam was finished. When I posted a bad review on Google Maps, they responded by calling me a Bully. And, they didn't even address their practice of refusing to give me the cost upfront.

I looked at other reviews, and they again call people who have issues with them bullies. They also said something about not discussing their practice, if they haven't seen my pet, why? Other Vets do it quite nicely. Can't they stand up for their actions without gaslighting clients? Don't get scammed. Get the costs before, not after. Don't go to Loving Care.

Rand Rd is excellent! I have taken my dogs here and they are also an approved vet for the rescue I foster for. Very knowledgeable and caring. Clearly do what's best for the animals. Very lucky to have Dr. Pete and Dr. Judy close by!

I honestly don't know what's been happening here. But I've been coming here for a couple of years now. My appointment was at 10:00am nobody had checked on my dog until 10:50am don't know what can possibly take so long. Another thing. My dog was yawning. Yawning. And the worker told him to shush I don't know who this lady thinks she is but if my dog wants to yawn he can yawn.

I came to Rand Road Animal Hospital after having taken my dog to his original vet two to three times because of a mysterious issue with his tail. My dog is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who's going to be too in August, and he was experiencing discomfort in irritation with his tail resulting in a very big bump where his scar from his suture line used to be.

After shots of steroids and antibiotics, medication that was an antibiotics, probiotics for a week, a spray and an ointment, the original vets suggestion was to do a biopsy to find out what was going on. I didn't like this idea because I didn't want to cut into my dog's rear end and tail area since It is associated with his spine. I took him to Rand Road Animal Hospital where Dr Pete and Dr Judy were so helpful and so reassuring.

They took their time explaining to me what their thought processes were, what they're initial hypotheses were as to what was causing the issue, and we're very slow in the road to surgery and a potential operation. Dr Peter took the time to take an x-ray, explain what he saw, and explain what his initial thinking and findings were. He then recommended me to go to veterinary specialty center in Buffalo Grove to get a second opinion and to find out if his thoughts were correct.

I was able to take Chester in and on the same day have his operation done which is what Dr Peter would have done also. Dr Peter and Dr Judy at Rand Road Animal Hospital were so kind and so reassuring of all of my anxieties and worries, especially since a friend of mine recently had to put her dog down after taking them to the same that I was taking my dog to.

I would highly recommend that anyone who needs a vet who will take their time explaining concepts, ideas, and other topics in veterinary medicine in relation to their pet go to Dr Judy and Dr Pete at Rand Road Animal Hospital. There's no limit to the questions that you can ask, the details that you can receive, and the reassurance and support you get from both of them. I look forward to continuing to take my dog to Rand Road Animal Hospital to ensure that he gets the best care possible!

We have used Rand Road Hospital exclusively for our dogs and cat since Dr. Pete started on his own. We met him when he worked in Des Plaines for another practice and always asked for him. Dr. Pete is highly competent and has a great staff and they are all very caring. Recently we took our 20 year old cat in when she suddenly lost her vision and was walking into walls and in a circle. Dr. Pete prescribed a low dose of Amlodipine for hypertension and detached retinas.

Within two days, my cat Abbey was improving and slowly regained her sight back. She is back as her old self and we are thrilled with her progress. You can always count on Dr. Pete and his staff to do a wonderful job and be there for you with any issue. Thanks Dr. Pete and staff!

We are overwhelmed by Dr. Pete. Saw him many moons ago at Wright. Was the best. He left and we lost touch and found he was in Palatine recently. we found him. Words cannot describe how wonderful Pete is. Compassionate, kind, thorough are just a few of many words to describe Pete. The other employees are wonderful and knowledgeable. The assistant during our visit, WONDERFUL. I guarantee no other vet anywhere can ever compare. Thank you so much for your wonderful self.

I have been involved with this hospital for 20 plus years with all of our animals. Dr. Halverson (retired he was the best) and Dr. Judy Cole are two of the finest people I have ever known, then Dr. Pete came aboard. Skeptical at first because you really trust these people with your babies lives, he became trusted to me almost immediately. Not only does he know his business, he is a highly skilled surgeon.

I trust him with my "kids" lives which is the highest honor I can give. He "gets " that a fur baby parent has so many anxieties when they are ill. He treats your pet as if it is his pet. You will not be disappointed if you trust this animal hospital and the people associated with it. They care. They follow up. One of my girls just had a pretty serious surgery and he has called me twice already to check up on her. PERSONAL SERVICE is key. I am grateful for them and you would be too.
