My son's puppy, Charlie was choking on a three-inch piece of bark. I couldn't get it out of his mouth and he (and I) were freaking out.feeling helpless. I called the Village Veterinary Practice who told me to bring him in immediately. When I got here, they dropped what they were doing, rushed us in, and examined him. All was good. (Unbenounced to me, Charlie had expelled it right when we got there.

I found the piece in my car.) He was going to be ok, but was definitely traumatized the rest of the day. Thank you VVP. Charlie is great now and you saved me from a heart attack (!) with your calm team. I will ALWAYS recommend you guys.forever. Thank you!

I came here because my former vet was so big that they lacked reliability and compassion. I have older dogs that need gentleness. I was blown away here. Not only was the doctor and the tech all of these things, but they both were so thorough and explained every single thing they did. They were calm, competent and caring. So much so that even my feisty chihuahua was shockingly calm. I highly recommend this place.

I really resisted changing vets after moving from the city, but I enjoyed my trio of appointments here. Cost feels very reasonable and all staff members at my appointments were kind, patient, and informative. I gave a 4/5 due to it being a hassle if you want to use Chewy to ship your pets' medications rather than pick them up at the clinic. The office staff was unfriendly and impatient when I ran into an issue with my dog's script that I needed assistance with.

I've never encountered a clinic that doesn't work with Chewy, and it felt like I was being scolded for needing some help and asking questions If I had known about this before getting my pets set up here, I probably would have chosen another clinic.

Village Vet set forth clear and workable system to get our dog in and out for his checkup while keeping a distance and following the recommenced COVID protocols. Since my health is extremely compromised, their diligence to create a safe system was essential for me. I communicated via phone just like I was there in the exam room. The Doctor was NOT rushed.

I had many opportunities to ask questions (which I did!) and received a good understanding of our dog's health status. I left confident knowing our dog had a complete and comprehensive exam, labs underway, shots received and clear and concise plan to deal with the issues identified during our visit.

Village Vet takes amazing care of its furry patients and their human companions. The vets, techs and staff deliver top health care, along with compassion and true caring for the pets and humans they serve. Much time and attention is spent talking through care plans. Our questions are always patiently answered to provide the information and comfort needed to make decisions, especially the tough ones. Love Village Vet! Highly recommend them.

They spend the time with me and my senior dog that we need. I feel like they care and help me understand what my 13 year old dog that just lost an eye needs and what I need. The vets, techs, and nurses are great. I have been going there for 11years now. Some vets are better than others within the practice, but in a pinch I will see any of them. They know our pets are our children.

Everyone there loves animals and they are protective of themselves and their human clients. I stayed in the car and the nurse came out in full gear, mask and gown, to pick up Steve and he was happy to go with her. A great place.

I love the personalized and gentle attention from front desk to technicians to doctors. They all truly care about their patients and take the time to explain everything as well as provide options. My dog never gets upset walking in there.

We have been incredibly happy clients of Dr. Jorgensen’s and the entire Village Veterinary Practice for close to 15 years. We’ve had four dogs over the years and all of them cared for to the fullest. They are a bright, well educated and compassionate practice that we are lucky to have in the community.

I don't know where to begin. Dr. Green (and the entire staff at the Western Springs location) has been absolutely amazing. When Jack was diagnosed with diabetes several years ago, Dr. Green answered the hundreds of questions I had about the disease, causes, symptoms, treatments. He helped us learn how to administer twice-daily injections, how to better manage his diet, how to watch for signs that could indicate hypo- and hyperglycemia, and he provided answers to ALL of our questions.

I know that I can sometimes come across as a bit neurotic. I'm the type of person who asks lots of questions and researches every option in order to make good, educated decisions. And there has never been a time that I've been made to feel like anything other than a caring, loving pet parent.
Dr. Green helped us navigate bringing two new kittens home and introducing them to Jack and their new home.

And he and the whole staff were super supportive and compassionate when we unexpectedly lost Jack last November. They have always treated us with great care. I wouldn't trust my furry family to anyone else.

I was at the Western Springs office where Dr Green treated my dog. He, the whole staff actually, was understanding and compassionate. He was very thorough in his examination; explained everything in detail to me. He called the next day to check on her.
