Monroe Family Pet Hospital

I've taken my bearded dragon here for a nail trim, and my new dog here for a full exam. The staff here are so kind and knowledgeable! My dog, Rudy, didn't have a great start to life before I adopted him. Dr. Reed and nurse Emily were so great with him, even coming down to the floor instead of putting him on a table to make him more comfortable. They answered every question I had and had recommendations for all of my concerns! I will be recommending this vet to everyone I know; they fully exceeded my expectations!

We absolutely loved our experience with Monroe Family Pet Hospital and we definitely recommend them as a vet. The staff is so nice and caring. When our puppy Maya broke her leg she needed to have her bandage changed on a weekly basis and everyone at Monroe Family Pet Hospital made it such a smooth and easy process each week. I was so happy to see Maya get so excited to see Kati each week and Dr. Reed was so helpful when she did a check up on Maya. Thank you so much Dr. Reed and Kati for caring for our sweet girl each week and thank you everyone at Monroe Family Pet Hospital for helping our family!

The staff was nice and it was easy to set up an appointment, but this is the most expensive vet we have ever used. We are new to the area so we tried them out due to convenience, but after spending $1000 on routine shots for our two dogs we decided to drive a little further to go back to our old vet. Also, at our second appointment, after having already spent about $1000 on shots, the staff failed to let me know that our male dog required additional shots that only a vet could administer (meaning additional money because it was the vet).

My wife received an email shortly after our visit informing her of this. that really seemed unprofessional and shady. Finally, we requested a quote to have our male dog neutered. about $700 from this vet. Our old vet quoted us less than $300. Our old vet is just as good, if not better and much cheaper, so again. we will be driving a little further from now on.

This facility is extremely over priced for the care they provide. In the last few months I have taken 2 cats there and it has cost me close to $1000 for nothing. I took my first cat there a few months ago to get a diagnosis for a condition she has had her entire life. I was not asking for treatment for her, just a diagnosis. After paying them over $500 they just kept wanting me to spend more and more money and prescribed her medication that did nothing for her.

Last week I took my other cat there and they charged me over $400 and gave no diagnosis for him either. The vet we saw does not listen and seems to have no idea what she is doing. They couldn't even get a urine sample from my cat without leaving him overnight. I would not have taken my cat here last week except it seemed to be an emergency situation and that was the only place that had an appointment right away without me taking him to the emergency vet.

I thought it may save me some money and turns out the emergency vet would have most likely cost less and I could've gotten a diagnosis and medication for him right away. They made me wait over a week just to get tests back. I highly recommend using another vet if you are thinking of going here unless you have an endless money supply because they will just keep finding things to charge you for without giving any answers!

Every person I speak to at Monroe Family Pet Hospital is friendly and patient. They are always willing to help and answer questions. My dog has to take special meds before each visit as he is an anxious boy. They go out of their way to make myself and my dog as comfortable as possible. I feel confident in the care he receives. We typically see Dr. Towning and she is wonderful! Would definitely recommend this practice for anyone looking for veterinary care or looking to make a switch.

Dr. Reed is the best vet ever! Not many vets see exotic animals and I am so lucky to have Dr. Reed see my Guinea Pigs. She is so patient and knowledgeable about all exotics. I can always count on her with all my questions and concerns. She is so caring for all animals and pet parents. If you're looking for a great exotic vet, Dr. Reed is the best around!

So thankful to have her as my veterinarian. And it's a plus that Monroe Family Pet Hospital has the best staff around. Always so caring and kind to me. They understand my concerns and always try to help.

Still will not let you join your pet inside the building for their appt. Are they actually providing the care they claim? Who knows. they won't let you join your pet. This "pandemic" has been over for far too long to keep milking it. Enough is enough. Start doing your actual job. That is treating the pet and making its owner happy. Good excuse for us to take our dog and new puppy elsewhere.

Try some place new where the practice doesn't cower to the scared mob. Response to your comment: Nobody knows if you truly are doing your job. You don't allow the owner in the building. You have ZERO accountability. You could be charging us for shots and never giving them. Let alone treating the pet however you want. This is terrible business. Blaming Covid? And mental health? Goodness. I can't believe you're still in business. Get better and stop melting like a snowflake.

I absolutely loved the attentiveness the Monroe Family Pet Hospital showed me and my sweet boy Yuma. The staff was super friendly and efficient. The scheduling system they use is great and I received a very fast unsolicited follow-up. I will definitely bring my fur babies here in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable staff.

Our dog Cooper received excellent care from the staff at Monroe Pet Hospital. My husband and I know he is in good hands with them.

I took my new puppy here because in the past, they actually stayed open for my dog who had a breathing emergency- and was not even a patient there! They are loving, caring people. Some people say they are a little expensive. I wouldn't know because I think all vets are expensive My puppy was so relaxed after his first visit- he went straight to sleep- I was expecting drama because it was his first visit. I love their techs too- so friendly. Highly recommend
