We have experienced an increased volume of appointment requests and unfortunately, we have had many people not show up to their scheduled appointments, which means an appointment time has been unavailable for another prospective patient. Please call us on 352-588-2132 if you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter.
Prior to any surgical procedure or dispensing any medication, our doctors need to establish a client /patient relationship with you and your pet. The Doctors will not do any surgical procedure, dispense medication or give vaccinations without an exam. Pets must have a current rabies vaccination prior to having an elective surgical procedure.
In your search for a veterinary facility, we believe you should expect high quality care as well as great service. Our goal has been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care. As a new client of San Antonio Animal Hospital you can expect our full attention to your pet's needs.
We accept cash, personal checks and all major credit cards. If financial assistance is needed, we also offer our clients CareCredit no interest payment plans.* Sometimes pet owners wonder about the costs of providing quality veterinary care for their pets. Although each individual case is unique, these questions and answers offer valuable insight.

We moved to the area recently and tried a few vets in the area before coming to San Antonio Animal Hospital. Stephanie in the front office is amazing and always very personable and understanding. They are always helpful and able to fit my dogs in when needed. If you have a reactive dog I highly recommend coming here as they are understanding and not judgemental at all, unlike other vet offices I've been to. Thank you!

The vet was okay but the service from the vet techs is poor. They always boarder either uninterested or rude every time we come in. But this time, it's over something relatively simple: I have 2 pups, called for an appointment for one and talked about a small issue for the other. The pleasant person that answered the phone said to ask about the issue when I came.
So I did.and Michael said "this isn't tele-health, she would need to see the doctor." I asked If the doctor could look at her paw since she is in the car. "Michael laughs and says no, we take appointments." Well Michael, I would have scheduled an appointment had I known. No apology just a scoff. Well sir, you lose business based on your lack of communication and your condescending tone. Sorry to be a bother, we will take our business elsewhere. That will be the last $316 you get from us.

San Antonio Animal Hospital was able to get Tucker, our Springer Spaniel, in for a visit quickly when he was sick. The doctor was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail and answered all my question. The staff were all friendly and helpful each time I corresponded with them. This was our first visit because our vet was not able to get our dog in on the day we needed.
They did necessary labs to find out what was going on and gave meds and special food to help with his problem. It's only been 3 days since visit but our dog seems to be feeling better and improving. I would return to this vet hospital again.
