Animal Eye Doctors was established in 2007 in Estero, Florida. In 2007, Dr Warren joined with Dr Dan Wolf of Tampa, Florida, who had been providing veterinary ophthalmology services to southwest Florida on a part time basis, to make the practice into the first full time ophthalmic specialty practice in southwest Florida. The doctors and staff of Animal Eye Doctors are dedicated to providing our clients with advanced techniques in diagnostics, treatment, and patient care relating to eye conditions and diseases.
Services
During your first visit, our nurses will ask questions about your pet's medical history and may perform preliminary tests (tear test, glaucoma test). Then our Doctor will examine your pet with specialized ophthalmic equipment including the slit lamp (to examine the front of the eye) and indirect ophthalmoscope (to examine the retina).
Animal Eye Doctors is pleased to accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and CareCredit. CareCredit extends special financing options that you may not get with other credit cards. We do not accept checks. If your pet is covered by pet health insurance, please check with your insurance company for their reimbursement policies.
We are pleased to display the beautiful artwork of local pet photographer Gina Stancel throughout our reception area and examination rooms. Gina Stancel is an award winning photographer specializing in capturing your pet's "one of a kind" look and personality. Her pictures have been published in both local and national publications. As an avid supporter of all animals, Gina is an active volunteer with numerous animal shelters in Southwest Florida.

I have had a very good experience with Dr. Warren. My pup has a growth in his eye and although, unfortunately, Dr. Warren didn't have the correct machine to properly examine the growth she has spent much time helping me find a place that CAN properly examine the growth and for that I am very thankful. She truly seems to care and is not afraid (like many other doctors) to say when it's needed to go to a different facility. She has taken the time to answer questions (I am a freaked out pup mom) - which I had a lot of!

Excellent, professional! Dr. Warner and her staff are excellent. My dog has life long issues with her eyes. She is 10-yrs-old. Dr. Warner gave her an exam. Told me what had to be done, and I have been doing it for my Ruby. In a couple of days, I have seen so much energy, and playfulness from my dog. Dr. Warner restored her sight, and gave her new life. Her staff know their job, and work as a good team. I am beyond impress! Highly recommended!

My dog had a very bad case of blepharitis of her eyelid with ulceration. Dr Warren was very caring and extremely knowledgeable. She performed a biopsy and fortunately, no cancer was found. She treated my dog with prednisone and cyclosporine eye drops. I am living on a fixed income and eye care for a dog can be more expensive than regular veterinary care. Dr Warren provided some of my dog's care at no cost and even gave me donated medications at no charge. I am forever grateful to her for this. She's one of the best in veterinary ophthalmology. I highly recommend her.

Dr Warren was incredibly patient and skilled with our pup. We rescued an almost blind dog. The shelter removed his left eye and the right one had a very old leather-like cataract. Dr Warren successfully removed the cataract but his incision kept re-opening. She didn't give up on him and operated an additional 3 times. But the first time he looked in my eyes after he could see, it was well worth it. I highly recommend Dr Christi Warren and her staff.

Awesome place! They saved my pup's eye after a groomer cut it. Huge wait but they squeezed her in due to the urgency. Super responsive and excellent care. I'm so happy that they were able to see her as my dog might be blind without their care. Thank you Dr Warren and team! If it wasn't for their quick action and care, Basil would have lost her eye. Thank you!
