Services
Temple Veterinary Hospital of Western Hills is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Comprehensive Preventive Care: Care which starts early can pay extra dividends once your companion becomes geriatric.
Amy joined our team in 2002 is one of the first faces to welcome you when you walk in the door. She also handles scheduling of appointments and love researching all new products for the hospital. Brandi has been on our team since 2007 and oversees the daily operations of the clinic. Brandi and her husband Shannon are parents to Eli & Paycie and share their home with 2 Australian Shepherds, Cowboy & Tator and Tripp a Lab Mix.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery. Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past. Here at Western Hills, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem. We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet.

Having an elderly dog in a crisis, it would be nice to have a weekend phone number to call - only for an emergency - I did need help for my dog and did not want to go to the Temple/Belton Animal Hospital as they would begin running bloodwork that had just been done a few days prior at the clinic with Dr. Gudgel. This would be awesome in the perfect world. While that being said, I really appreciated Dr. Gudgel and his staff for being so welcoming as a new patient to their practice with two elderly dogs.

My sweet 12 year old dog has been going to Western Hills Veterinary Clinic since we rescued her as a new pup. The Drs and staff have taken such good care of her and because of them she lives a healthy active life even in her advanced age. If you need a caring place for your pet, I recommend them completely

They are great to work with and are so pleasant at every appointment. Even though I am always 30 minutes early for my appt. they are always ready to receive us. Edit, We got another sweet baby December 2016, Cali, they took care of her just like they have our kitties, even trimmed her nails for me (at that time I was kinda scared I would hurt her so I hadn't done it) but I'm good now, Thank you for always taking care of our sweet fur babies!
