Sierra Veterinary Hospital is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada's between Yosemite and Kings Canyon across from the Auberry post office. We serve the communities of Auberry, Prather, North Fork, Tollhouse, North East Clovis, Oakhurst, Shaver Lake, and Huntington Lake. Doctor Sallie and staff strive to provide the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care. We treat every patient as our own pet and every owner as family. We all work our hardest to give the highest quality medical care with compassion and empathy.

We offer a wide range of services to help care for your pets. Our clinic is equipped to handle everything from regular health checkups to emergency services including surgery. We use all state of the art equipment and the newest technological advances to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
From the very beginning, animals have been a part of my life. Since before I can remember, my mother said that 2 orange kitties slept in my crib and comforted me. On long trips when we drove for hours to my grandparents, I would be examining the lips, mouth and ears of our dear old patient Labrador retriever.
Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off colour or unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. We need to examine them every 6 months as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent. Use the age chart below to find your pets age in "people" years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life. We believe the following tests give us the best chance of helping your pets live longer, healthier lives.

We took our very sick dog to Sierra Vet., and we have had the best care that anyone who considers their animal part of the family could ask for. Dr. Phillips worked very closley with UC Davis to cure our dog of a horrible decease called (IMHA) and she also had a infection in her spine. Our dog had months of treatment and many trips to UC Davis as well many visits to Dr. Phillips.
The staff is very caring, concerned and personal, something you don't find at all vets. We were able to even talk to Dr. Phillips while she was on vacation when our dog went through some very rough spells. I would highly reccomend taking your pet to Sierra Veterinary Hospital.
