In this video, Kelly (our amazing and talented receptionist), guides you through trimming her dog's dark colored nails. This dremmel technique can be used for any type of nail, but is particularly helpful for dark nails because you are less likely to damage the quik, which can cause discomfort to your pet.
If your dog has Heartworm Disease, they are a host to a live worm that embeds itself in the pulmonary artery, near the heart. These worms can grow up to 4 feet in length, take up to 6 months to fully grow, and can remain inside your dog for 5-7 years if not treated. Their presence damages the heart, lungs, and arteries and will result in death if left untreated.
They truly do stand by their vision that Pets are family. We are grateful for the care they have given our family throughout the years and will continue to proudly be part of theirs. We have been taking our animals to Memorial for 20 plus years. The entire staff is great, especially the front desk & boarding/kennel staff, while the vets are just simply the best. I recommend them all the time. I just wish I had doctors & staff for my health care as knowledgeable and caring as this.

I am so beyond grateful for this wonderful place! My sweet hen caught a bacterial infection from some chickens I practically rescued from Western Farm Center in downtown Santa Rosa. I was so worried she wouldn't make it especially because nowhere would take her on a Saturday. But I was able to find this amazing place and she got seen by Dr. Lane. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing Dr. Lane is!

She called twice to check on my hen and also prescribed the rest of my flock a broad-spectrum antibiotic! All the staff are so friendly and caring! I'll definitely be going here with any of my chickens from now on even though the drive is a bit long, totally worth it!

I have been taking my dog Benji to Memorial Beach since I adopted him in 2017. This Veterinary hospital is so wonderful and caring that Benji gets excited every time we bring him to the vet. We usually have trouble making him wait until it's his turn to go inside! Even after we moved to Rohnert Park, we still choose to commute to our favorite vet.

We have received excellent care from Dr. Jorgenson, Dr. Marty, and Dr. Lane as well as all the wonderful techs. Without question the best Vet in the Bay Area, and would recommend to anyone that is looking for stellar health care for your pets. Although Smaller than the bigger chain Veterinary hospitals, memorial beach will always have your pets best interest at heart.

Took two of my bearded dragons in for their first visit with this vet. She was wonderful and helpful! I appreciated her help. I also appreciated her not making me feel like a horrible pet owner when I couldnt afford many procedures at once. Thanks!

I'm new in town-My poor chicken came down with a horrible sinus infection-I thought there was no hope. Memorial was KIND enough to SQUEEZE her in rather than let her die. She's on antibiotics and pain meds! She's gonna make a full recovery! And they were AFFORDABLE! I got my new forever vet!

I have been going to Memorial Beach Vet Hospital very often since we have two dogs and three cats and Dr. Marty has been a great vet to them. Dr. Marty is very knowledgeable, diligent and smart. She treated a granuloma on one of my dogs and I was amazed at how well the treatment worked. I feel very confident that I can rely on MBVH to keep my pets healthy. Please allow me to add that MBVH has great Vet Techs. Thank you MBVH, you are great!

We are in the process of moving to Santa Rosa and we're referred from a neighbor to Memorial Beach Vetinary Hospital when my dog was suffering from a hematoma. Dr Marty saw him right away and he was good as new a few hours later. This was all during Covid and everyone was very professional using safe protocol. We are going to be transitioning full time and are happy to have found such lovely professional, caring doctors, technicians and assistants. I would highly recommend this Vetinary clinic.

One of my chickens was badly hurt by mean girl hens. The vets & staff at Memorial Beach were able to find her an appt quickly, and when the avian specialist she was schedule with had an emergency and couldn't make it, they quickly let me know and found another vet with avian experience to see her the same day. I appreciated the professionalism and care for my time and my pet. They did a great job treating her injuries and the cost was very reasonable. Would highly recommend!

The most amazing vet I've ever come across. My very elderly chicken Lovelace was suffering from a severe prolapse, but I was able to get her into Memorial Beach Vet only several hours after I called them and relayed how serious the situation was. Dr. Lane is absolutely incredible and was so helpful, responsive, and kind throughout Lovelace's entire healing process.

Every staff member I interacted with was warm and welcoming, and everyone treated my bird with more gentleness than I've ever seen with any other vet I've taken a chicken to. I will be going to this vet for any animal that ever needs care in the future!

I am very grateful to the staff at Memorial Beach Veterinary Hospital. They have been caring for my four legged family members for over 20 years. During that time some staff have left, and new staff have been hired. The changes in staff have not diminished the level and quality of care. I know that my pets will receive absolutely the best care. When we walk through the doors of Memorial Beach Veterinary Hospital staff immediately focus attention to the needs of my pet.

On many occasions I have received training and information necessary to provide my pets with the best care at home. They work with me as a member of the treatment team. They are available by phone to answer and address non-profit emergency situations. The care received is not just preventative or medical. They've helped with behavioural issues, pet sitting needs, grooming, dental and dietary.

Each pet has a designated vet, which help my pets establish trusting relationships and reducing anxiety. If I could rate my experience one to ten, they would get a 20. Absolutely AWESOME.

I have pet rats, and it is near impossible to find a good vet who will treat them. Dr. Marty is incredible. She makes you feel heard and valued, and always includes you in decision making about treatment plans. All of the receptionists and techs are amazing as well, making an effort to remember your pet's name and reasons for visiting. Really, all of the Memorial Beach Vet Staff make it so going to the vet is actually sort of enjoyable. They are very personable and professional. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
