I've started transitioning over to Steinbeck since my regular vet went MIA. One of my horses was euthanized, a decision that was best overall, but not necessarily best for today. The decision ultimately came down to the financial burden of building a new stall and managing multiple medications for an older horse that also has significant allergies, compromised immune health, and is unrideable. Unfortunately, this decision will eat at me for a long time and is something I will have to live with.

The vet and vet techs at Steinbeck could not have made the process better. They understood the dilemma and were able to give me all the information to make an informed decision. They were patient, fast, and compassionate regardless of which way I went. Even though they may disagree with my decision, they definitely didn't show it. Either way, it's a tough job and I greatly appreciated their professionalism.

Steinbeck has always helped me out in every crazy emergency situation 24/7 with open arms. Also for annual vaccines they commute to the most remote areas, so grateful. We are truly blessed to have such a variety of Veterinarians at our finger tips. With a Top notch Facility that can accommodate major surgeries as well. 10 stars in my book.

The front office staff needs work, but I voiced my concern with their need for better communication. Dr. Amaral was quick to thank me for my feedback and rectified the issues I had. Overall I am pleased with this office. If you have ANY issues ask for Dr. Amaral, she will work with you and make it right.

Steinbeck's is a great large and small animal veterinarian clinic, they have the facilities to keep large animals for observations, x-rays, and everything that comes with owning a horse. Large turnaround parking for loading and unloading which is super convenient. The veterinarians and vet techs are great and will care for your animal as if it were their own.

Probably the best experience I have ever had at a veterinarian hospital. From the receptionist, Dr., assistants, groundskeeper, they were so friendly and helpful. Wish they were closer to my home town. I would highly recommend them for any of your horse care needs! I thank you and Hugo Thanks you!

Amazing staff and Doctors. I volunteer at a horse rescue & have had very positive experiences with Steinbeck. Our Horses and Foals have received incredible care. Trust me! They have saved lives!

The nicest and very knowledgeable vet I have been to. I live in Monterey and used to use local vets but wow what a difference. It not a rush you in corporate doctors office they care about you and your pet. So you can waste your time and money and pay those expensive Monterey or Carmel vets but if you want to have a real relationship with your vet than go here.

I have been using Steinbeck for as long as I have owned horses and the vets here have always been very professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring. I recommend them when ever someone asks.

Nora is very knowledgeable and responsive. They have been excellent both in emergencies and for regular vet calls. I never have a problem getting in touch with the clinic or the vet

I would like to call out Nora Grenager and Nick Carlson as being incredibly intuitive, kind, calm, highly skilled vets who take as much care of the owners as of our horses. They are on time, are thorough, yet gentle with my horse, describe their findings, communicate/demonstrate the treatment, detail next steps and what to watch for in a way that reassures and has always resolved my horse's issue. They area available by phone for questions, and they really care.

Steinbeck Equine Clinic has all the bases covered for my horse. Top knotch veterinarians and staff, a well run facility, up to date equipment, etc etc. But where they really really shine is in CARING. They care deeply about each horse, it's condition, it's treatment, it's wellness, it's happiness. They take care of each horse as if it were there own. They love horses, all horses. It is this deep and abiding love for their patients that really sets them apart. Steinbeck is a blessing to the equine community.

Valued access to many treatments, good 24 hour care, responsive vets. Surgery team was great. Thanks. With high cost of special colic surgery and post op care and treatment, I was able to go ahead and treat my. Princess horse due to owner agreeing to deposit and monthly payment arrangments. It will take a while but, otherwise could not have had this treatment. As a decade plus long customer really appreciate the excellent surgery and agreement. Now, when Princess's signing book comes out this summer she will be alive to benefit.

Dr Durham and Tiffany are always so kind, gentle and professional, my usually anxious horse is relaxed and at ease in their excellent care. They answer all my questions and provide state of the art treatments, I am so happy to have such an excellent veterinary hospital nearby.

Steinbeck Equine and the staff is incredible! They go above and beyond! I was at Salinas rodeo, and needed a vet; Dr. Tim Eastman came to my rescue and helped me all week with my mare. His busy schedule within the rodeo didnt hinder is time to see my mare multiple times a day, and still continues to check in and help me now that I'm home. I cant thank Tim and the vet staff enough for everything they have done!

Ashley is by far the very best veterinarian you will find. She is very knowledgeable and really cares. My dog is difficult to take in (requires a muzzle) but Ashley treats her as if she was her own pet. She really loves animals and it shows. I'm so glad I found her, I wouldn't take any of my animals anywhere else. We had an emergency once and she let me bring my dog in immediately even though she was extremely busy that day. I'll never forget that. Highly recommended would give 10+ stars if I could Mike Burton

I've been bringing horses to Steinbeck for years - the only place I'd use in an emergency. Great communication and I feel they're vested in my horses' recovery.
