Towson Veternarian Hospital & Cat & Dog Hotel

Brought my ferret here, completely unprofessional staff, receptionist dressed to work out and had little to no knowledge about ferrets. Vet handled her incredibly unprofessionally and forcibly squeezed pee out of her to get a urine sample instead of giving any kind of laxative. Told me she's incredibly healthy except for the issue I brought her in for and told me they're unable to treat it and she's just gonna die in a year so I should ignore it. Random staff kept walking in and touching her not even dressed in any sort of uniform. Paid $116 to be told they don't know how to fix her issue and for her to be traumatised from the visit. Would never recommend anyone come here.

Amazing place all around the staff are reliable and professional, respectful, prompt. Also a very very good friend of mine works here! Not knowing this at first lol All the more reason to trust this vet hospital with any of my pets just knowing they are in the hands of trustworthy people, techs, veterinarians. I cant believe this place is still in business, we took our baby Male dog here for boarding he was normal and fine, was given a price for his stay here, only to find out when he was picked up the price all a sudden rose $250.00 u.s. dollars more, our baby is no where the same as he was before staying here, I feel this place ruined our dogs well being, he doesnt eat anymore, he's sad, he can barely bark anymore, he has Mark's on both sides of his snout, a mark on his left back leg, I'm very concerned what this place did too our baby, it just goes to show this place CAN NOT BE TRUSTED, The staff here are not fully trained, its very unclean, , I've asked myself over and over and wondering does the management just hire kids off the street that have no clue of what their obligations are for caring for any living animal, no training, I'll update my review once our personal college accredited real veterinarian checks out our dog and we get the results back, why and what's really goin on and what really went on at this horrible place at Towson Veterinarian hospital and boarding, if our true veterinarian finds anything out of the ordinary then this place will be investigated my the humane society. This is sickening

Overpriced! My kitten is 6 months old. I've been taking her to this office for all of her vet needs. In total, her vaccinations cost over $500. I just got her spayed and micro chipped and the bill was over $600! I'm just trying to do what's right for my baby, but I didn't think it would cost me over $1000. That being said, they do offer quality care.

Both of the Vets there are great. The older veterinarian euthanize my girl he shows compassion and knowledge and it was the easiest one of those I've had to do

Called twice to make sure my pet could get vaccinated since she got one shot a week earlier. Was told they could vaccinate. Arrive and the doc says he doesn't vaccinate so soon after a 1st vaccination. But of course they still charged me the general visit fee. Aside from the staff being uninformed, the place is also unkempt. I would not go back.

Great service, appointment was easy to make, had plenty of open availability, staff is polite and knowledgeable. My dog was taken care of in a timely manner. Happy to make Towson Veterinary our forever home.

HORRIBLE! My first time there due to boarding my pet. My wife set up everything and I had to drop him off. We arrived close to their closing time and the EXTREMELY RUDE young lady shared that they did not have the vaccinations record which our vet, Mt. Carmel Animal Hospital had emailed them. I called my wife and 3-wayed her onto the call. The same Towson Vet representative (female) continued to be EXTREMELY RUDE.

As my wife explained to her that they should have the emailed proof, the representative kept over-talking my wife saying that we would have received a confirmation email. My wife explained several times that the confirmation email would not have come to us, but gone to our primary vet, Mt. Carmel Animal Hospital who I had called and they confirmed.

I called back and spoke to a NICE lady named Brett (?) who confirmed everything and we were able to board our pet. I was given a call very shortly after our pet was boarded sharing that my dog needed a leptospirosis, influenza, and another vaccination. This lady representative was rude as well and over-spoke me saying that they would give my dog all of shots.

I called Mt. Carmel Animal Hospital again, they confirmed that they were needed and I authorized it. AFTER retrieving my dog two days later, I received a reminder that these same vaccinations were due. I sent them the documentation saying that these shots were given. After review, it was determined that my dog was just given boosters. I was under the impression that my dog was actually given vaccinations, not boosters as this was was not explained.

So I ended up paying for vaccinations that I thought I had already paid for. The experience and service from start to finish was EXTREMELY POOR and DISAPPOINTING! I will NEVER RETURN or RECOMMEND this place to anyone. I've been with Mt. Carmel Animal Hospital for 14 years with my pets and NEVER had an experience short of OUTSTANDING. The folks at Towson Vet should model them
