Honest, compassionate, competent and all around wonderful people make up Carpenter Animal Hospital. We have taken all 6 of our dogs to them and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Through the many myriad of problems that our animals have had, we have felt well cared for, listened to. And the love and caring they showed when we had to have our dogs put to sleep was incredibly touching. Best animal hospital in NC!

We took our yorkie here because we was needing a recheck from where we had to take him to an emergency vet due to symptoms of a liver shunt my dog has had all his life. We also wanted to find a new vet. It has been a few stressful weeks due to everything happening to our sweet boy but Carpenter has out did themselves. All the staff are very welcoming and extremely nice.

We have spoke with two doctors and they spent a lot of time with us which I loveeeed and explained everything so clearly. They made a treatment plan for Bentley and they are trying everything they can to help our baby. They called to check on Bentley a few times after our visit. Very very pleased. So happy we have found a new vet that we love.

This wasn't the first vet practice I tried when I moved back to Cary, but it was the first one I felt comfortable trusting with my pets' care. They offer a variety of services on-site, including ultrasound. The staff is communicative, providing excellent feedback and follow up after tests. My cats have experienced diabetes, IBS and cancer since I moved to Cary, so this is important.

Between working in vet clinics when I was young and 30 years of having cats, Doctor Turner has been the most open, informative and reassuring veterinarian I have ever encountered when making decisions regarding the care of my animal companions when they've been sick or needed a decision about quality of life. That's rare in my experience, and I highly recommend this practice.

I just recently got a puppy and took him to his first visit at Carpenter Animal Hospital and Pet Inn. All staff members were super friendly and knowledgable. They have taken such great care of my baby Benji during his first visit. I also love the follow up emails concerning Benji's wellbeing. I am so glad to have found a place that truly cares about his health.

Mandy is a seven years old female Shih Tzu, who has always been very nervous and trembles when visiting a Vet. We recently moved to Cary and yesterday was her first visit to Carpenter Animal Hospital. This was a Wellness Visit and treatment for yeast infection in her ears. Mandy was calm because it was obvious she felt secure with the hospital staff. Dr. Turner and her technician were so through and treated Mandy with care. Over the years that I've lived in/around Cary, I've always been pleased with the service provided by the good folks at Carpenter Animal Hospital (and Pet Inn). From regular checkups for my cat all the way up to dental surgery, and everything in between, the people here are friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate, and all-around pet lovers. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This veterinary office is interested in your money, not the care of your pet. They gave us medical advice to put our pet through a serious surgery based on an x-ray. After getting a second opinion we got a proper diagnosis and no surgery was necessary.

Carpenter has been an exceptional vet for our two GSPs since moving to the area last year. Dr. Turner is wonderful with our pups and has taken amazing care of them! The front desk team is always responsive and friendly, and makes our pups feel right at home giving them snuggles and treats! We absolutely love Carpenter Animal Hospital! 10/10

Looking to buy a boat? You can it will just sit in the vets slip. After moving here we found this location. The vet was not a good fit for our family. She recommended tons of tests and excessive treatment. She questioned everything we were doing and was exceeding condescending. After canceling our appointment for the future for a second option I received calls and texts constantly. I would recommend looking elsewhere. This practice seemed to be in the practice of making money not helping animals.

I am visiting from overseas and only had herbal pills to calm my cat. Though he does really well traveling, the pills didn't really work great so I wanted some prescription pills just in case we had any issues as it's a long flight. My family uses this vet and so I asked them if they could give me a small amount of pills to travel. They made me an appt that week to see their vet but I was worried about the cost l.

To my relief it was super reasonable. The vet Tyler Barrett was SUPER nice. I didn't feel rushed and they understood my situation and didn't push things my cat didn't need. They understood he has a vet overseas which weirdly when I have had to see drs or vets here when visiting, many of them couldn't grasp we don't actually live here which is very strange.

The team here understood perfectly. The cost of the meds was reasonable too. They answered all my questions about how and when to give them and the safety. The vet tech was also super nice. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are visiting or living here and you won't be sorry!

These people are very caring, they helped my cherished dog daughter and my family through a tough time. They have given our family exceptional care!

Disrespectful and very unprofessional. The doctor purposely kept my dog and I waiting in the room nearly 20 minutes before showing up to begin the examination. She only came in after I was about to leave. The assistances are also careless. They can't even remember basic information about your pet. I'm not sure if it's deliberate or just outright negligence, but my dog and I will not be back. These people are so cold and unsympathetic I don't feel comfortable giving them anymore of my money.

Recently moved to area and needed to find a good vet /& bonus here they also have a f/t grooming service. Most of the front staff is very nice. Dr Turner is amazing and grateful she' gave me good points to help me help my dog lose some weight for her health to be optimal.

Critical: Responsiveness Our four dogs are patients at Carpenter. We have left voicemails to get in touch with the groomer, Kim, and never get a call back. Very disappointing. We have had to find someone else while we wanted to keep all of our pet's care needs at one facility.

My dog loves to be boarded here! He is well cared for and gets excited when he gets through the doors for drop off. Highly recommend all services

Amazing Vets! They really care about our pets. Doctors are amazing! The front desk and assistants are also amazing! I highly recommend it! I love that they always follow up after the appointment.

Where do I even begin. I took our boxer, Chip, to Carpenter Animal Hospital for simple boarding and while there decided to schedule an appointment to have a second opinion regarding his ongoing skin issues. In the last year, Chip's been extremely inflamed and developed large bumps all over his back, head, and nose. While we cannot complain at all about our other vet (they were good to work with), after one meeting with Dr Turner we switched Chip to Carpenter Animal Hospital for diagnosis and treatment.

This place is EXCELLENT! Dr Turner took the time to develop a relationship with us, which is important to us, and thoroughly explained Chip's condition, various underlying factors that could be contributing to it, and the tests needed to diagnose and properly treat Chip. After every test, she'd personally call in to check on Chip. Chip required one test with Dr Hodges, and even Dr Hodges personally called us to discuss what he saw.

Chip has his diagnoses and we are moving forward with a treatment plan that we feel good with. I love this practice and the entire team (including the nicest front desk team and the folks helping at curbside). Thank you for making us feel like family!

I have been going to Carpenter Animal Hospital for the past five years. My dogs are getting older (11 & 12 yrs) and we just got our kitten last year. This is the only place I will take them! They are kind and caring, and extremely professional and knowledgeable! I highly recommend Carpenter Animal Hospital, they have been so amazing and always there when I needed them.

I found the personnel to be very caring about my pet. They offered me very good advice on how to care for my pup. They put me at ease and answered my questions honestly. They not only cared about my pet, I felt that they cared about me as well.

This was an amazing experience, this is my son's first pet and we all felt really comfortable with everyone we dealt with, our puppies doctor and tech was just amazing with our little guy and answered every question we had. Looking forward to our next visit.

We absolutely love Carpenter and all the folks who work there. We foster for a local dog rescue and we take a variety of furry friends there. Everything from regular checkups to more serious surgeries the dogs have been treated with care, and we feel so comfortable taking the dogs to them. They are great with people too, showing us how to administer insulin to our latest foster and making sure we were comfortable with what we are doing.

They are very compassionate and take good care of the humans too when things are tough. I haven't had a bad experience with them, and even though we've moved to North Raleigh we still take our dogs there because we know they'll be taken care of. When a vet tech stops to give your dog some love on their way to pick up another dog in the parking lot you've found the right place.

I cannot say enough about how much I love the people at Carpenter. They are always so accommodating and smiling. My puppy gets excited to go to the vet because they are so nice to her. I love going to a place where they remember my dog by name and know exactly the right plan of action. The vet staff is so knowledgeable and always takes the time to make sure I understand all of my options.

NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES! Today was my first vet visit with my first pet kitten ever, Koffee! Although I was excited, my kitten was not! He was in a bad moood the entire visit! Lol The team here was so incredibly kind. I really appreciated their assurance and care with my kitty! My point being some heroes wear coats!

I just had a great experience here. My dachshund was having some serious stomach issues Friday afternoon and my regular vet could not/would not make time to see her. In the hopes of avoiding the emergency costs, I started calling other nearby vets, pleading them to see her. Carpenter heard me and got us an appointment within an hour. The front desk was welcoming, tech was warm and kind and our vet was gentle with her while giving me all the info I needed and answering questions.

I left feeling much more confident and secure. I was contacted first thing the next day with results and solutions. Very nice building and rooms, as well, and a solid app counterpart for pet info, updates and reminders. I will be transferring my other 3 dogs to Carpentry.

These wonderful people are amazing, loving, caring, extremely compassionate and competent and I recommend them for all your furry family members needs! They were so kind to take the time to send a condolence card to us after we lost our sweet Skye! It meant so very much to us! Thank you!

I moved to Cary, NC for a year and during that time, I took my kitties to Carpenter. Dr. Catala was wonderful with my older cat, as she tends to get bad anxiety at the vet. Dr Catala was also able to find my cat a good low calorie prescription food since she's so overweight. Since she's been on that food, she's steadily lost weight and has gotten so much healthier.

I also used them to board my kitties while on vacay and they were wonderful. I'd highly recommend this vet as they truly care about our animals' wellbeing, and it shows. The facility is nice and clean, everyone there is kind and polite, and they do a great job.

The service your pet will receive here is great. I live in the Cary Park area, and this is the closest and best rated vet clinic near me. My dog comes here regularly for her check-ups and vaccinations. The veterinarians are phenomenal, and the vet techs are super friendly with your pup. The two star dock is due to waiting times and inconsistency with call backs.

After booking a 4:30pm appointment, my dog wasn't seen until 5:00pm. And also after my appointment was done I had to wait to pay because her invoice wasn't ready. I didn't leave the clinic until almost 6:00pm, and the majority of my time was spent waiting to to see a vet, and waiting to pay. Additionally after getting a cytology test done on my dog's lump, I was informed I'd get a callback with the results two days later. It's day 3 and I have yet to hear a callback.

I've never experienced better veterinary care for my dog. Amazing staff. Dr. Terrell is incredible and cares a great deal for her patients.

We had to say goodbye to our sweet Sammie after 15 years and the team at Carpenter Animal Hospital was incredible. Their compassion, patience and support meant the world to us. My puppy Dabo loves daycare here!! He is excited and always ready to go and they welcome him with open arms. When it's time for a check-up, the Drs here are excellent and offer exceptional care and follow-up. I can't say enough good things about the caring and special staff! Wonderful and a blessing in our lives!

Carpenter Animal Hospital is fantastic! The staff members are always friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Hodges takes time to answer my questions. I feel like they really know my dog and that they truly care.

I love this office. One of my cats has a chronic condition and Dr. Hodges is wonderful with her. I followed him to this clinic from another office. All of the doctors take the time to explain different treatment options (if applicable). They are caring and never rushed. I have been there when the dogs check in for daycare. Every dog seems happy and eager to be there.

Since my initial review in Jan. 2015, we lost one of our kitties due to some very unusual circumstances. I would never have imagined the compassion and sympathy shown by Carpenter Animal Hospital's full staff - even though we were grieving, they managed to be a bright spot in a dark time. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Since then, they've added more staff and vets, and they are great additions helping maintain the culture shift affected by Dr. Hodges. If you live in 27519 and aren't taking your fur babies there, give them a shot. Your furry kids will thank you.

I was so glad that Layla could get medical care during her last boarding visit. She is older and starting to have more health issues, very reassuring to have such attentive care. The vet on staff during her stay called and spent 30 min after hours explaining her diagnosis. Loved that she was allowed to hang out in the clinic during the day for her last stay, hope that you can give her this freedom again. She is more of a people dog, would prefer human time to outdoor play time usually. Not only was it quality care, but also a very reasonable rate.

My dog loves going to the daycare at Carpenter Animal Hospital. We also use the grooming and boarding services. The staff is so nice and helpful!

I haved taken my Dixie here for Veterinary Care -she had an eye infection the day I moved to the area and called them and they took her immediately I have taken her here for boarding - She came home tired but happy. She played with the little dogs and seemed to enjoy! I have taken her here for grooming - The groomer calls out her name when she comes in the door and does a great job with her grooming. The front desk staff is helpful and friendly, the place is clean, and Dixie is comfortable. What's not to love?

Just adopted my rescue dog, Moses, from Hope Animal Rescue and went to Carpenter Animal Hospital and Pet Inn for our follow up check up. Dr. Hodges and his staff are wonderful. Moses (aka Buddy) loves them all. Also, went back next day for spa treatment and vey pleased. Highly recommend.

These people are the BEST! I've worked with them with several dogs that I foster, and was first introduced through the rescue group. The staff is amazing; personable, friendly and so attentive. They know who you are and your dog, and every dog has always been happy to come and go as the care is so good. They have a great day care program. I also use a vet in Raleigh that is great but twice the cost. This one is the best

Love the staff. Also, they don't try to sell you things you don't need. For example, my dog went in to have his teeth cleaned. He's 7 and only had them cleaned when he was 3. Because his teeth looked so good, they didn't give him x-rays, which would've increased the bill. Another time I was ready to buy a collar from them to stop him from linking his rash, but Dr Hodges said it wasn't necessary because the cortisone would kick in within 24 hours, which saved me about $20. Usually, vets try to get you to buy whatever they can sell.

We love Carpenter Animal Hospital so much! We see Dr. Pease for our dog's check ups and she is wonderful. We also use Carpenter for doggy day care and boarding and could not be happier. Our dog starts to squeak in happiness when he walks in the door. He loves the day care workers and they love him. I feel so good leaving him in such good hands.

Every person at Carpenter, from the receptionists, to the groomer, to the day care workers, to the doctors are all pleasant, professional and clearly love animals. We are so grateful to have such a quality option in our neighborhood.

We've been bringing our cats here for two years. We've been thrilled with the service and attention our babies get here. Doctors are thorough, kind, knowledgeable and friendly. We trust them with our boys!
