Kind and knowledgeable! My rabbit and I were excited to discover and meet the rabbit expert tech there, Margo! Love the staff. They were very sweet to us when our dog passed away, and even printed her paw in clay, as a gift. Amazing.

Very kind, professional and prompt. I called as a new customer with a few concerns with my pup, and whomever I talked to on the phone could tell I was very worried and got me and my pup in within 4 days! Everyone I had called prior said Id have to wait till June. Once it was time for the appointment me, my pup and my girlfriend were a little anxious, but that was immediately extinguished.

The people at the counter were extremely friendly, and our pup was being looked at within 10 minutes. They were very transparent on what costs were as well. We ended up having to leave our pup there for a few hours so they could comfortably get the samples they needed which I was a little skeptical about. That being said, when I got out of work and picked our pup up, she was her normal super happy wiggly self.

I highly recommend Onion River, as they genuinely care about your dogs health, are 100% transparent on costs, and treat new customers with extreme urgency and professionalism. 10/10 service, Vera and I are extremely greatful! Thank you!

My dog was injured and needed immediate attention. The folks at Onion River were the only ones who made space in their busy schedule to see her. They had me come up right away and proceeded to assess her, treat her wound, do x-rays, and monitor her. They handled her thoughtfully and with care while being thorough and professional. I am always impressed with the level of care every member of their staff provides. The hospital is kept impeccably clean and oder free.

Great facility and staff. They even have a website for all your pharmacy needs and they'll ship it to your home. What more can you ask for? They're so loving and actually follow up with you, even if you just came in for an emergency visit! 10/10 would recommend this vet to anyone.

When I inherited two geriatric cats, 16-1/2-year-old sisters, several months ago (cats I'd known and house-sat for since they were born), I had a choice of several veterinary clinics in my area. After consulting with friends, I chose Onion River Animal Hospital in Berlin, VT. Both cats had health issues, which ORAH staff evaluated. I was impressed by the competence and compassion of the doctor and technician I met on the initial visit.

When the sickest of the cats reached a crisis a couple of months later and I had to make that life-or-death decision every pet owner dreads, the technician showed the greatest compassion in our discussion and in administering the drugs that ended Miss T's life as I held her. Fortunately, her sister, who has a less life-threatening condition, is in quite good health, thanks in part to the care she gets and the advice I receive from the hospital staff. I know I made the right decision in going to Onion River, and would feel perfectly confident in recommending them to friends.

Everyone is so nice there, they all work great as a team and take great care of my cat "nala".Even during the "pandemic" they are very helpful and do the best under these crazy circumstances. Love the reminders via email or text, because you know life is crazy and you need reminders.lol. When I brought my newly adopted cat there the first time, she had to stay for the day and they were very good at updating me about the progress and even took pictures of her and sent them to me.

Honestly the best vet practice I've ever been too! I have 4 cats and a dog, and my pets have been terrified of any other clinic we've been in (scratching, yowling, hissing - you name it!) My pets have been here for various things and none have left terrified. This is the only practice I havent had to physically carry my dog in to or cleanup my cats after they've peed themselves for being so scared. Hands down the best practice with the greatest, kindest staff who are willing to work with all pets of various personalities. On top of that the costs are extremely reasonable and fair.

They were so kind to my sick dog. He was in such great spirits after he left because of how sweet the staff was to him. They did an amazing job doing a full exam and offering multiple treatments. Not nearly as pushy as some places to do unnecessary exams just to make more money.

I am new to the area and have a 15 year old cat and a 6 month old puppy. ORAH was a great find! They are all very kind and professional and obviously are passionate about caring for animals. The vets take the time to explain things well and communication re: follow up is great - they will send an email with test results and suggestions/options based on those results.

I also like the way the office is split in half - a dog side and a cat side. definitely helps ease some anxiety for the cats I'm sure! I was happy with my last vet, but these guys blow them away! I highly recommend taking your fur-babies here :

They do a fantastic job explaining findings and care needs in a way that is easily understood, and I always leave feeling grateful and knowledgeable. I have been going to Onion River Animal Hospital for years. I trust them. They have always provided excellent, care for all of my pets, both cats and dogs. Recently they received special certification as a fear free hospital. This means they take special care to ensure that all pets have good positive experiences at the vet, free from undue stress.

I feel like ORAH has always had this attitude, but now they've refined it. This is perfect for me now, as have I rescued a German Shepherd who really needs this extra care. Once again ORAH delivers!

From the greeting through the door we were made to feel very welcomed. Every staff member was super nice and made an effort to make us all feel comfortable. They all were gentle and efficient and everyone took time to answer all my questions. I like that they offer a lot of communication options. They also suggested we stop in for a visit when out and about so the animal doesn't just perceive it as a place to be poked and prodded. Great experience.

Haven't had a single problem with these guys. They are all super nice, and professional. They give me advice on things that I can do better without trying to shame me in or out of behavior. They don't try to push me on sales for products. I have recommended this place to people in the past, and I'm sure I will in the future.

This place is awesome place they treat both you and your animals decent I recommend this place to everyone we have to drive almost a hour to get there but definitely worth the trip A++ all of the staff was pleasant to deal with and actually cared about my dog thank you

Today Onion River Animal Hospital saw our Rottie for an emergency visit. We can not thank them enough for their compassion, professionalism and knowledge. They took such great care of our pet and us. We highly recommend Onion River to anyone looking for an affordable, knowledgeable, compassionate vet.

I can't say enough great things about this hospital. Staff are Amazing, Dr. really care about you and your animals. I recommend them to everyone. took care of my dog Violet and my sister cat Boppy. really clean place, separate area waiting area for Dogs and one for Cats. very safe & relaxed place for everyone.

We have to older greyhounds and we were in need of a new veterinarian after have recently moved to Montpelier from California. Onion River has been able to accommodate us with appointments whenever we need them. The reception staff, vets and techs we have seen are knowledgeable, patient and have a true love for animals. The parking area and the practice itself is very neat and clean with ample space (which also helps our dogs to feel comfortable). They are very upfront about prices of procedures etc. which we appreciate. We are grateful to have found such a great veterinary practice to care for our greyhounds!

Our awesome pup got a fast-moving, aggressive cancer and when our normal vet was slow to respond we contacted Onion River. They were incredibly kind and patient despite squeezing us in within hours of us calling. Even though we had to say goodbye to him that day, we got to do so outside in the sun while he was made as comfortable as possible. Thank you!

Very grateful for the immediate attention to Dani our Aussie. We were up from Boston and our dog was sick with a digestive issue. We were able to get a same day appointment and Dr Flynn saw her and prescribed. and administered fluids and anti nausea meds. She even found a cracked tooth and recommended oral tick meds that were MDR1 mutant safe. The facility is so new and clean and the staff were very friendly and kind. We were also in and out within a hour at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend Dr Flynn and Onion River Animal hospital.

I'm so grateful for the home visit today. The care, compassion and confidence Dr Karen and Jamison expressed was amazing. The fear free meds helped my fearful anxious cat Tirzah fly through the visit and she even snuck up on the treat container and knocked them on the floor while we were only a few feet away. What a stinker she is. They were great with Cosette, too. Kudos to ORAH. Thankful.

Can't imagine bringing my pets anywhere else. The entire staff is so knowledgeable, friendly, caring and patient. Even with COVID going on, they are so quick and efficient and have the best attitudes and have everybody's safety in mind. Very thankful for such great people who care so much about animals! Will never stop recommending!

I have never had a visit where they weren't completely wonderful. I have 6 dogs and trust me when I say I have been there alot. They worked tirelessly to save my dog Ursa when she was hit by a car (she survived and is completely back to normal). They came together as a team to find how why my dog Dolce kept getting sick (he has gastritis). they provided amazing after care to my daughter's dog when he broke his leg and had surgery to fix it (he jumped up to fetch a toy and landed wrong).

Recently they did corrective on my mom's dog's cherry eye. (looks so good now). Each time we go there whether it's for a major concern like listed above or just for my dogs regular checkups they have been kind, compassionate and professional from the front desk to the techs and veterinarians. I highly recommend ORAH. I have been bringing my fur babies to them since 1998.

even through this pandemic the workers are caring and right there when you need them. they always talk to you about procedures and meds before doing anything. I absolutely love everyone there!

I had an urgent case with my dog Tika, and although they knew nothing about her, it was like I had always used them. The techs and vet were extremely informative and friendly, took the time to explain everything, and was sure I understood all the information. Extremely patient with my under the weather pup, and checked in during the day after I had gone home, and promised to continue doing so until she was better.

we had a emergency on a Saturday . our vet had no spots open. however onion river did and got us in. we knew going in it was grim for our soon to be 12 yr old girl. the team that helped storm,Christina and myself was amazing and Dr blouin was truly amazing. he explained things due to me as I was on the phone but made sure both my girls were ok. I can not thank you enough for the special care and touch you had for storm during her last hour. I would definitely recommend you folks ....
