West Lynn Veterinary Clinic Our Mission: The mission of West Lynn Veterinary Clinic is to establish meaningful and lasting relationships with our clients and their pets by providing excellent patient care and customer service that is individualized and catered to you and your pets' specific needs during all stages of life. At West Lynn Veterinary Clinic, the majority of our animal-loving team is Fear Free-certified.

What does this mean? It means your pet doesn't miss out on crucial health care. Our Fear Free professionals know exactly what it takes to keep your furry family members comfortable, which means better results for your best friend and peace of mind for you.
Services
West Lynn Veterinary Clinic veterinarians and technicians are committed to excellence. Our world-class staff combines cutting-edge veterinary technology with decades of experience to provide the highest level of care for your pet. We understand that a pet is part of the family. The day your pet enters our hospital it becomes part of our family, too-and our goal is to give them as many happy, healthy years with you as possible.
You work hard to ensure that your furry family member has the best possible life. That's why partnering with a veterinary provider who genuinely cares for you both is so important. At West Lynn Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to offer a comprehensive range of services to address your pet's specific veterinary needs.
Please confirm your appointment to secure your pet's visit. Any unconfirmed appointments will be removed from the schedule the morning of the appointment date to allow for other sick pets to be seen. We do require 24 hours cancellation notice for appointments made at our clinic. Our appointments do fill up quickly and it is important that we use each appointment time to its fullest to see patients in need of receiving veterinary services. There will be a fee of at least $65 for any canceled or missed appointments without 24 hours notice given.
We understand - perhaps better than anyone - that many pets dread vet visits. That dread is a direct result of fear, and that fear could be the result of a scary experience the animal had in the past. It might also just be a bad reaction to a new environment. Regardless of the cause, our staff strives to make your pet's time with us as comfortable as possible by following certified Fear Free procedures and protocols.

Would recommend Debbie's clinic to anyone. The level and quality of care shows in every member of this clinic! I've followed Debbie here since West Lynn Vet and she started her own clinic here. Lily is now almost 17 years old and we still see Debbie! Now Debbie snd Dr. Moore both take care of Zoey our 5 year old boxer. Results are explained asap and if not they keep you posted with constant communication so you worry less. You really can't get better than this team.

I've been a client here for more than 7 years. First, with my rescue dog who has since passed, and most recently with my new dog. Here are the reasons I am done being a client at West Lynn. 1. At my dog's 2-year check up, they told me his teeth looked great, and that I didn't need to schedule a dental cleaning for at least 6-12 months. I scheduled a cleaning recently, about 12 months after getting this advice.

He had to have two teeth pulled. I strongly believe that had they cleaned his teeth as a two year old, this would have been completely avoided. 2. I do my best to be respectful of other people's time. I always show up early or on time, and will call ahead if something unforeseen arises. I was instructed to drop off my dog for surgery between 8 and 830.

I arrived promptly at 8, and was the first person to check in with the front desk, where I was told that a tech would be out shortly to get my dog. I was left waiting more than 15 minutes. During that time, someone else arrived, checked in, and was escorted into the exam room by a tech. When I expressed my frustration, I was told that he had an appointment. Well, so did I - to drop off my dog. 3. Pickup was also a disrespectful waste of my time.

I was told I could come get my dog any time after 1 p.m. Wanting to avoid any delay - since I went to get my dog in the middle of working hours - I waited until 2:30 to go pick him up, hoping that a little extra time would allow their office to be organized for his departure. Upon my arrival, the front desk informed me that there were some blanks on the invoice from the surgery, and that they'd need to wait for the doctor in order to figure out what they were. Then, when the tech came out to explain the post-surgery care instructions, there was no record of which teeth had been pulled, and she had to go back to figure it out.

All told, what should have been a 5 minute pickup wasted 30 minutes of my day. 4. Finally, and most importantly, West Lynn received a payment from my pet insurance company TWO YEARS AGO and never told me. They cashed the check, never alerted me that it was received, and it wasn't until I made a claim for the dental work that I realized my pet insurance had paid out another claim in 2019.

I then had to email West Lynn to confirm that they 1) had received it 2) never notified me about it and 3) never provided me a credit against any of my subsequent bills. I find this fundamentally unprofessional at best, and downright dishonest at worst. All the best staff and doctors are long gone. I have relished having a nice vet in my neighborhood, but now I'll go where I know my dog will receive better care AND I will be treated with courtesy and professionalism.

They will definitely come up with some excuses for this one. all they want is your $$$. I really wanted to like this place but it feels like they take advantage of the pet owners. the first time i took my elderly cat there, things went smoothly till it came time to pay. the vet personally told me they forgot to charge me for something but not to worry and they would comp it. it wasn't much, maybe $20 after a $300 visit, but i very much appreciated how nice the vet was about it. there was no confusion and i am ABSOLUTELY positive that the vet offered to take care of it. of course, that didn't last long. soon the front office was calling me about how they charged me incorrectly and didn't believe me when i mentioned the vet said they would cover it. would have happily paid it if i'd known the trouble it took for the front office and vets to communicate with each other. at my other visit, they've snuck stuff onto my bill and actively tried to hide it. + a no show fee is more than the actual vet visit. they also tell you that they mail out invoices, but funny enough, i never got one? when you try to approach them about these issues, they do not try to help. instead they come up with excuses and blame it on the staff being new. please keep in mind, i did trust the vets + vet tech and very much appreciated the special care they gave to my older cat. but management and their front office are sneaky. feels like they just want to get money out of you. this place makes a hard time harder. not recommend

Great. Live right down the street and the relief vet was super nice. Semi-odd they are still only curbside service, but their two way texting and other communication is great - but it is difficult getting anyone on the phone. Will continue coming here, but if curbside through the summer may look to go somewhere else where you can see the folks. Update on 4/20: Moving from 4 to 5 stars. They are letting folks in the door again. Great experience today for Freya's allergy shot.

Awful place! This vet made my beloved dog suffer needlessly! His last day was hell because of Dr Lu! She did not care about it! She ordered a shot that she said was a painkiller but it was not! Dr. Lu also charged us for a needless catheter that hurt his arm! She kept adding $40 charges just to get $$$. Whatever you do, don't take your pets here! They do not care about your pets! They only want $$$! Shame on you Dr Lu! I have reported her practice to the board!

We took our new, very distrustful dog to be treated and neutered with a non-descending testicle to West Lynn. The staff were friendly, made our dog feel comfortable and left us feeling good about leaving him. The Vet, Angie Whitworth, was fantastic. She called us and gave us updates and left us feeling confident in the clinic and staff. Our dog is doing amazing! Thank you West Lynn for making our experience so great!

I found this place through the AAHA website. The original appointment I made had to be canceled due to weather conditions, but they got me in and seen as soon as the office reopened. The staff is professional and caring. I already have a dog, but the care they took in reviewing puppy needs was a wonderful reminder!

My 20 year old cat is alive and happy today because of this vet clinic. They have taken such amazing care of her for the last four years. Yes they take COVID seriously and you can't go inside but I'm glad they do as that is how they've been able to keep their staff well and able to care for pets throughout the pandemic. They are extremely caring and sensitive to both the pet and the owner's needs but the pet comes from first.

I am continually impressed by West Lynn Vet. Everyone I've encountered is so friendly and really shows care for my dog. They're so accommodating, knowledgeable, and professional. My dog gets scared going to the vet but they handle it like champs. I've had nothing but delightful experiences- highly recommend!

Sadly, I had to transfer vets after 6 years. The last 6-8 months Ive noticed a big shift in service. I had quite a bit of trouble getting anyone to call me back after serval attempts to schedule an appt for a vaccine. Multiple times, I felt the staff pushed unnecessary procedures. For Example, my dog had a UTI and without explaining the pricing of the treatment plan they gave her an X Ray and my vet bill was $500. Ultimately, I lost trust in this clinic and transfer to BlueBonnet on Riverside.

The best. I have a dog with anxiety issues, and the vet took the time to talk through treatment options. Also, while out of town I contacted the office with an emergency and everyone was so responsive and helpful. Thank you!!!

PLEASE re-consider before taking your pet here for pet care. We took our elderly cat in for a checkup 06/16/2021. The whole thing is just really weird. We were running a bit late and so we called to let the Vet know. She said if we were more than 15 mins late, we would have to cancel. We get there just in time to find the front door locked as they left US waiting in the heat.

I had to knock really to get someone's attn as the door was locked. Finally, an assistant came out, got our cat and as we started to follow, were told we were not allowed in. No one was except the pet. We told them we were fully immunized and were wearing masks but she told me it didn't matter, it was protocol. It was suspicions.why would a vet make it so she doesn't have to see her patients and their owners?

She also said, if THEY decided to put my cat down, only one person could go in. So she told us to sit in some chairs under an awning in front of the office in the heat with hundreds of mosquitos eating us alive. The Dr called when she had finished the exam. We never spoke to her face to face or saw her.how weird is that? She wanted to do 100's for tests my cat did not need and when we wouldn't agree to that, then she started pushing euthanasia.

This vet is ALL about $$$$ and I could not believe how they tried to gouge for $$$. The whole setup is just bizarre. Do yourself a favor.take your pet else where. This the worst experience I've ever had with a vet and I will NOT be going back, ever.

I used to recommend West Lynn Vet to my friends and coworkers, but over the last year their service and care has dramatically decreased. A few times we've gotten lucky with one of the vets who provided great care and insight for our pups, but most of the time we were left with the administrative staff telling us that the vet is unavailable to speak with us and it's completely obvious they just want to get off the phone, often rudely.

There's been many times where we were waiting for a call back that never came. They have also tried to keep charging us for "check-ups" that weren't necessary, running up our bill for no reason. Ultimately, we decided to leave West Lynn Vet for somewhere that truly cares for our animals, and where we are more than just a transaction.

I was able to get my dog an appointment quickly after calling around to a few vets in the West End/Clarksville area. The staff was extremely helpful and caring for his needs as a new patient of the clinic. The doctor was very thorough in explaining the vaccinations and anything I could anticipate as summer nears. Luckily, this is within walking distance from my new residence and I plan to maintain West Lynn as my primary veterinarian.

I cannot say enough positive things about West Lynn Vet Clinic. My pup is only 6 1/2 months old and has already been there many times and every single time I have gone, they have been nothing short of amazing. My dog even gets excited to go into the clinic whenever we are there and that to me is a sign that it's a great place! From the Front desk staff to the vet techs to the actual doctors everyone is so so nice.

I have had to call in the past to ask random questions and they are always eager to get me an answer and I appreciate that. They also will call to check up on my dog after any time I have taken her in and that to me goes above and beyond. They are a very compassionate and genuine staff and I will always recommend them to anyone who asks!

West Lynn Vet has been my vet for at least seven years. I'm always going pleased with their services but especially grateful today. I called with an emergency and was told to come right in. An hour later I'm back home with a diagnosis and medication for my dog. The staff is so caring and attentive especially to an older dog. I've been a dog owner for 30 years and been to many vets. But these people are the very best in class.

Truly a wonderful vet. I never felt rushed or brushed off, and I can tell every staff member truly loves animals. In these crazy times, they put me at ease. They are a little more pricey than other vets, but I would recommend the budget-conscious work out a plan or use insurance to get seen here, it's worth it!

I recently transferred my fur baby to West Lynn and all I can say is wow, what a difference! I took my dog Rudy in today for stomach issues and was back home within the hour! The Dr was super informative and kept me updated w phone calls, from her, as she examined Rudy. Everyone was very kind and the no contact appointment was seamless and a wonderful experience. Pricing was extremely affordable and I will be a customer for life! Thank you West Lynn for taking such great care of Rudy, he's feeling better already!

Let me start off by saying I've been an extremely loyal customer of West Lynn since early 2013 and have had 4 dogs seen by their great Vets. Recently went in with an appointment to finish a vaccine shot and while there requested a bandage for my dogs happy tail issue. (The technicians do these and it's just for padding support when it hits the wall) They had previously put a bandage on a few weeks prior but it had only lasted an hour before it fell off. Was told they wouldn't rebandage without scheduling another visit and paying to see a vet.

This was just a bandage, nothing Intrusive, zero reason to see the vet and I had already scheduled time off to bring him in for the vaccination. I had seen them the month before for a yearly and paid quite a bit for a stomach issue he had. The office manager ended up refusing to bandage the tip of his tail and when I called later to let them know how frustrated the experience made me feel, I got zero call back to discuss. Did finally talk with the manager again to voice my concerns and was met with more indifference.

The office manager failed on customer service to a loyal long term customer and am now looking for a new vet. Trivial as it may seem, they just lost me and ill never recommend again. Felt too much like a cash grab with no cares given.

If you are looking for an absolutely amazing Vet for your furbabbies. I have found the place. Dr Rodriguez is unbelievable. My Dog had some surgeries yesterday & I couldn't have asked for more awesome service. They handled her with all the love as if she was their own, Dr Rodriguez even handled the crazy freaked out Dogmom & they followed up this morning to see how we were doing. Huge shout out for amazing service.

We have been satisfied customers of West Lynn Vet Clinic since moving to Austin and have always appreciated the quality care our puppy received. The hardest thing to do, to put an end to your pet's suffering, was made endurable by the staff at West Lynn. After surgery, chemotherapy treatment and much love, our dear puppy Zin was unable to fight cancer any longer. Dr. Whitworth and the team at West Lynn worked with us throughout the process of treatment to make it understandable for us and the least traumatic to our puppy. At the end, the compassion and caring expressed by all truly helped us through a very distressing time.

Highly recommend West Lynn Veterinary Clinic, always super friendly and makes vet visits very easy. Especially would like to thank Dr Moore. Who went above and beyond to facilitate our travel certificates to the UK. We have been taking our pup there since she was born at APA three years ago and we have been sending friends there ever since who have also all had great experiences!

I just want to say that Dr. Rodriguez at West Lynn Vet was amazing to our family this past year. She diagnosed a rare condition that had negatively altered our dog's behavior, demeanor, body and enjoyment of life. It had stumped two other vets and cost us a lot of money. They seemed to want to do endless tests and try endless things that never helped. Dr. Rodriguez took one look at her and knew.

She seemingly miraculously gave us a lot of our old Sophie back. It was seriously was like living through one of the medical mystery stories in the New York Times Magazine. And sadly, just a few months after getting her (and us) some relief, she expertly guided me through the decision to let our dog go with kindness, knowledge, and sincere empathy.

She stayed late to help us. And I'll never forget how she said sorry to Sophie and rubbed her paw before euthanizing her. What a doctor. I can't recommend her more.

I am updating my review because Dr. Faludi called today to discuss the miscommunication with Dr. Crawford. She apologized and said maybe the tech was too eager to get a diagnosis by swabbing my dog's ears before Dr. Crawford examined them. She seemed genuinely concerned.

Run, walk drive here. Can't get better care, with true animal people. West Lynn Veterinary Clinic is the best. Thank you, to all the docs. Max needs care that isn't always understood. I advocated, and you became my partners in it all. GREAT result! Special shout out to the techs. Yes, um, Max doesn't love to have his feet touched, does he?

You are all so wonderful to him, for that simple service of nail clipping. Know how to do it gently, smartly and efficient. I so appreciate it all. Drs. Angie, Deborah and Sarah- all of you have done nothing but provide me and Max with the best care. A new Dr., for me- Dr. Rachael- we'll meet one day. And you'll have superior record keeping, so Max won't be a stranger to you. Cool!

I trust this within my dog's health, and West Lynn Vets never disappoint. Shoot, I drive from Bouldin to see them. SO worth the trip, no matter what traffic gives me. Special place. They CARE.

We love everyone at West Lynn Vet Clinic - 10 stars if we could give it. They take the time and energy to always go the extra mile, to make sure our little ones (Two maltese) have the best care and are healthy and managing everything that comes their way. Boarding is awesome, and they are always quick, efficient, and open to questions. A wonderful place to take your pets - yes, yes, yes!

These guys are just so amazing and I trust the team so much. The whole team feels like a family. I love Dr. Crawford and Whitworth! And since I work so much I am most happy with the vets concern with helping me when I can't physically get in where most vets in the past just refuse to help over the phone. Even if it's just with care till I can get there.

These actions all compound to the team wanting what's best for the animal. That is pretty cool.; I've never felt this way with a vet and I've had my toy yorkie for 10 years.
