The Cat Clinic is proud to be the first and only all-cat veterinary practice in Danbury since 1993. Dr. Barbara Fanning is the practice owner and veterinarian. She leads a team of experienced animal medical professionals dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary care along with friendly, compassionate service.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Alicia says she always knew she would work with animals and started training in emergency veterinary medicine at 19. She has been with The Cat Clinic since 1993 and is known as our "cat whisperer" as she utilizes Fear Free techniques to help reduce the stress of veterinary visits for felines.
The Cat Clinic is dedicated to providing the Danbury community with the highest level of service. That's why we offer a fully stocked pharmacy to meet all your cat's needs. We want you to get your medications and products from reputable, trusted suppliers, so we have stocked our pharmacy with a huge inventory of quality brands and products that are properly stored under optimal conditions. We carry popular items like flea and tick preventatives, as well as, heartworm preventatives and other medications.
Preventative care is a cat's first line of defense against illness and injury. Annual exams allow us to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease in its early stages, often before you notice any symptoms. Treatment is more effective when it starts earlier, so preventative care helps your pet live a long and healthy life with you.

I can't believe a place like this exists! I've had the hardest time finding a good reliable vet that wasn't a fortune. But I loved my experience here. All of the staff at the Cat Clinic have absolutely blown me away! Everyone was extremely patient, very thorough, and my cats weren't even *remotely* triggered about their visit. As a new patient, I got one of my kitties vet visit fees waved which was a nice surprise!
The vet (I believe Dr. Fanning?) Was soOo professional, pleasant, and just a treat to talk to. I'm already looking forward to the next check up! Thanks again for such a lovely experience. Ps -- THE APP! So easy to use. I highly recommend

They were so welcoming and helpful. All questions or uncertainties I had, they took their time to explain it. Before giving my kitten any vaccines or medicine I was contacted by the doctor and asked if it was ok to proceed. Every single person that I came in contact from the receptionist to the veterinarian were simply wonderful. I could only describe them as warm, professional, carrying and diligent.

Dr. Fanning was very attentive and detailed to my cats issues and care. Her follow up emails were very informative and helpful. She works with you directly to ensure your cat is getting the best care! I was impressed by the service I received and will continue to bring Prince to the Cat Clinic for care! I really appreciate Dr. Fanning's involvement in my cat's care and health.

The main veterinarian definitely knows the field. Unfortunately, the lab techs were very rough with my old cat. They put on heavy gloves and pushed her around, held her down. Of course she hissed and yowled! She was hurting. When I asked them to back off, they were rude and told me they knew what they were doing. When checking out, I was shocked at how high the bill was, but I paid it.
About a month later, I got another bill. They had "forgotten" to charge me for something. I ended up paying almost $400 for services my current (compassionate) vet charges $150 for. The whole experience was too stressful for my cat and me. I would never go back.

Trying to decide where to take your four-legged children for the best care, without leaving a dent in your pocket is such a struggle! I did my research, and after seeing all of the positive reviews, I decided to try the Cat Clinic. My expectations were already set high. When I first walked in, it didn't feel like a vet office, in a good way. I was greeted by Mouse, the office cat, and the kind, smiling receptionist.
It was clean, with a lot of books and pamphlets to read. Donna (the Vet Tech) and Dr. Fanning both took their time and were patient with my Lana, who was growling and trying to bite during shots and temperature. Dr. Fanning and Donna took the time to teach me and allow me to clip Lana's nails with their help! They were so helpful, patient, caring, and went above and beyond.
Because it was my first visit at the Cat Clinic, my annual wellness exam was FREE! Which was awesome. They did not try to talk me into any services, and offered a lot of advice for me as a first-time pet owner. I am so glad that all of these positive reviews led me to The Cat Clinic! I was extremely satisfied, and this is where I will be taking my Lana, and any of my future kitties. :)

We adopted our kitty 4 years ago and bring her every year to the Cat Clinic for a physical. They are very compassionate and really know how to work quickly and effectively with cats. Plus, they are great at sending reminders and following up with reports on testing. Recommended to anyone looking for a reliable, clean and friendly cat vet!

Even with Dr. Nero's passing, I'm very pleased that The Cat Clinic continues to remain a very reputable and caring practice. We bring all 3 of our cats here and continue to have nothing but positive experiences. I also feel they are priced very reasonably, and they don't "over-treat" my cats, or push tests and services on us that are not essential.
Everything is explained carefully, and in great detail. I'm thankful that this practice continues to be there, as I have experienced other practices in the area before finding the cat clinic, and they did not offer the same level and quality of care that the Cat Clinic provides.

All the staff are extremely friendly and caring! Our cat Jonah is the most loving and friendly cat you could ever want, that is.until he visits the vet. Despite his growling, hissing and constant defense mode, the Staff at Cat Clinic handle him with loving care. Despite his temperament at Cat Clinic, I am sure Jonah is happy to have the care he is given. I know we are grateful. Keep up the good work!
