Southside Place Animal Hospital welcomes you to our new website! Southside Place Animal Hospital opened in 1994 as a tiny animal hospital situated in a strip center in the West University area. Because the hospital is not large in size we can focus on each pet and its special requirements.

Dr. Jessica Reyna has worked at Southside Place Animal Hospital since she graduated from veterinary school in 2005. She loved the practice's patients and clients so much that she purchased the practice in 2015. She is a proud Rice alum (Go Owls!) and attended vet school at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.

The hospitals clientele grew quickly and the owner (with a little help from the bank) purchased land on Stella Link and built a free standing Animal Hospital. Because the hospital is not huge we can focus on each pet and its special needs. Very friendly and empathetic staff, they definitely care about their patients. I like that the vet takes time to talk to you on the phone about your concerns and doesn't rush you. Wish they were open later / weekends but I understand they're a clinic and not a hospital.

We have used their service for our cat for years and have always been extremely satisfied. They could always find a spot for an urgent visit. The doctors are knowledgeable and patiently trying to explain every step of the treatment. The front desk ladies are always nice and welcoming. But the way how they handled our cat's last moments earned my biggest gratitude.

The doctor and the staff were very respectful, kind and thoughtful. A few days later we received a nice card with handwritten condolences along with the prints of our cat's paws. Thank you, Southside Place Animal Hospital!

The staff at this clinic are phenomenal! My dog acts like he's going to see friends and always comes back happy after his appointments. The care is always top notch and the reception staff is always sweet and welcoming!

Wonderful establishment! During COVID-19, our dog's regular vet was closed. We needed a vet's attention and Southside did not disappoint. They got us in quickly, new patient forms were easy to access online, and our dog received great care. Thank you, Southside!

I have been taking my dogs to Southside Place Animal Hospital for over ten years and have been very satisfied. They are very attentive to the dogs' needs and are very gentle with them. I just got a rescue puppy on Saturday and have already taken her to the clinic.
