I'm a caretaker and the amazing lady i work with has elderly cats. When we had to put Red Ruby down we brought him here and they were amazing. They were kind, considerate and made the situation as painless for both the cat and us as possible. We ended up having to put another cat down months later and they were just as amazing. Included the picture to show they made both the cat and my friend as comfortable as possible.

Don't bother calling. Not accepting new patients and booked 8 weeks out currently. Update: Response to owners. Can't give you 5 stars. Besides, by your own admission you are overworked and therefore more likely to make mistakes as noted in other reviews. Fair warning for new customers. Need more vets? Maybe increase salary offers so you attract help needed to provide 5 star services.

Amazing and thorough care for our favorite critters! We've been taking our dogs to Dr. Boyer for almost five years and have one good experience after the other. Once mentioned that our dog had been licking a spot incessantly during a routine visit, so they checked it out and found a foxtail seed lodged in her skin that could have caused serious health problems later on.

Another time, she gave our other dog an extra X-ray without charge to be sure about a diagnosis. And the list goes on! We really appreciate how the staff are so kind and understanding about our anxious girl and her special needs coming into the office. Thank you!

The absolute best vet. Dr. Boyer and the team are always extremely attentive, kind, and thorough in every interaction. Ever since Dr. Boyer sat us down to honestly discuss our options once we discovered our cat had diabetes two years ago, we knew we had found a special place because of how fully transparent she was with us about costs and lifestyle changes.

They serve so many families and yet the team always manages to maintain an intimate relationship with everyone. You and your pets are safe here - I wouldn't take our little buddy anywhere else.

This is my dogs primary vet and I feel she's in good hands here. I can tell the doctor has a passion for animals, as well as their owners. I have to applaud the front end staff as well, always friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable.

Everyone there is fantastic, the Vet is delightful in the office cat is an absolute treat! I actually feel like everybody cares about my animal and also myself when I'm there, they give the Best Care I could ask for.

I was very nervous about taking my pet to a vet we grew up in the country and usually handle everything ourselves but the cat needed a cortisol injection so I had to go. This pet clinic was able to get me in same day and they were very caring and understanding I couldn't recommend better service from a vet

They couldn't see my dog but the receptionist was just so kind by explaining to me why and where I could go to get him help that I just wanted to pop a five star review down just for this small interaction. other places i called didn't give me the time of day so this place is probably really good if they are this kind to a stranger on a cold call.

AMAZING staff. I've never had a veterinarian NOT try to up sell me. I was shocked, pleasantly surprised and gladly paid very little for the services and quality of care my animals received. Did I mention the staff were AMAZING?

Highly recommend taking your furry loved ones here. They will treat your pet like their own. Amazing staff from top to bottom. Love them for taking such good care of my four legged family.

Best vet ever! I took my friend's cat here and I will be taking my cat here from now on. They have a super cute cat (like a Bodega cat), are very friendly, and care deeply for the well being of your pet. They made sure to cover all of their bases when it came to the exam, and provided helpful and understanding feedback. To top it off, the bill for three vaccinations AND an exam was only $120! This is the kind of vet that I wish all vets were like. I can't speak highly enough of them!

Dr Boyer and her staff are people of true character, feelings as well as professionalism. They give you their absolute best no matter what the situation or how many times they have had to deal with it. I recently had to face the inevitable decision that a lot of us dog lovers do and had to and put my grey on " the other side of the rainbow". I can't tell you how compassionate the whole staff was and Dr. Boyer especially was amazing.

She understood my emotional pain and really helped me through the process. Especially after he passed by donating a tree in my greyhound 's name. What vet does that? You can feel very secure putting your best buddy in their care.

We have been taking our Boxers here for over 15 yrs, and wouldn't go elsewhere.

Dr. Kayla Boyer is the best! We've been to like 5 vets over the years to find her. Love her. My hubby and I find her to be down-to-earth, high integrity, compassionate, warm, very experienced, and super-knowledgeable. My hubby says she's like a solid, down-home, ol' fashioned country doc. The whole staff is great, especially Robert the Vet Tech.

And we never feel rushed, even when they are busy. She's fair-minded, has appropriate pricing, and does not employ the fear-mongering upsell tactics that we've experienced at a few other veterinary practices in town. (Ex. almost $500 for a simple UTI at PAWS with over-the-top bloodwork costs and unnecessary follow-up appt and more bloodwork. when it was clear it was a common, simple UTI.)

This was literally the 4th vet that I took my cat Norm to while dealing with a growth/skin issue on the base of his tail. The other vets tried various antibiotics and treatments but nothing had worked over the span of a year. After some extensive research, Kayla found a very specific antibiotic that has been working for him and has given me hope of curing this after a year of trial and error.

Not only was Kayla doing research but she was also making phone calls on my behalf to animal dermatologist and going above and beyond to solve this issue. I'm extremely thankful that there are veterinarians as passionate and thoughtful as her and her staff. Can't recommend enough.

Fantastic vet! Dr. Boyer and her team are top notch. They are professional and kind. I was able to get a full puppy check up, all of her shots, and lots of great information for a relatively decent price. Highly recommended!

Best vet in Tucson. They have the most caring and knowledgeable staff as well. Dr Kayla Boyer is professional, kind and an expert diagnostician. She has 24 years experience and I love her. My dog recently had to be put down due to cancer. Dr Boyer was sincerely the best during such hard times for me my Husband and my sweet beautiful dog. She kindly planted a tree in. Montana in gizmos honor. I can not recommend her highly enough.

I chose Speedway Veterinary Hospital because it was recommended to me by several people and it is convenient to my home. I had previously taken my dog to two other vets in Tucson, and I felt they were just not being thorough enough. Something was wrong, and the diagnosis and medication just weren't right. I adopted my dog from a rescue and he had a persistent cough that previous medications had no effect on, so I took him to Speedway Veterinary Hospital based on the recommendation of others. Dr. Kayla Boyer did a very thorough exam, even smelling his ears!

She diagnosed his heart murmur and treated the fluid in his lungs that I could actually hear. He also ended up having to have his upper canines removed later on, and Dr. Boyer did an excellent job on his surgery. My dog's recovery went so smoothly, thanks to Dr. Boyer and her staff. I have called around to other vets to compare costs for the same services, and found them either more expensive or comparable to Speedway Veterinary Hospital. I am more than satisfied with Dr. Boyer and her wonderful staff and will continue to take my dog here for veterinary care.

Dr Boyer, and her staff, are some of the most caring, and invested of veterinary clinics in Tucson. If you're looking for premium care for your fur baby, at a reasonable cost, then I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed with the care you receive there.

I love how effusive Dr. Boyer is with my sweet, mischevious cat and all the animals that come in the office. She always tells my kitten how handsome he is and I appreciate a vet who actually chats with the animals. All the staff who've helped me have been personable, kind, and confident and I really appreciate their calls the day after any visit to check how my cat is doing.

I always feel like my visits are honest, efficient, and thorough. Dr. Boyer and staff explain things well and are open to helping me consider options or prioritize care if money is an issue, while still being up to date on the latest options. I feel very well taken care of but never upsold!

This veterinary hospital was extremely informative, and took the time to provide me with websites and information regarding area concerns for my pet, being that we are new to Tucson. I greatly appreciated the moment they took out of their time to educate me in these things. They are issues I really had no way of learning about otherwise.

I am so angry at this clinic! Warning DO NOT take your dog to this vet! She is a money hungry witch! I trusted her with my dog, she only cares about what money she can drain from you! My dog was full of lung cancer and fluid, I asked her to do an x-ray on my boy and she said you can't tell cancer from an x-ray! I had been force feeding him for almost three months, and there advice was to keep doing it.!

I wish you could have seen my boys chest x-ray today! He also had desert valley fever and she put him on a steroid that made the disease kick in worse, my boy couldn't take the medicine for the valley fever and I kept asking her what was I going to do, she never told me about the valley fever specialist I could have taken him to! When I first saw Dr. Boyer my boy weighted 85 pounds and in less than 6 months my boy lost 20 pounds! If you love your dog keep them away from her!'

My sweet Puggle was very sick and it was time to end her pain. Dr. Boyer and her staff were truly amazing. It was my first experience having to make this difficult choice. They gave my beautiful Lita the sweetest send off. It was very peaceful and serene. The compassion of Dr. Boyer and her staff is beyond compare! Thank you Speedway Vet for making a very bad day just a little better.

The staff here is absolutely amazing. My dog loves coming here. Dr Boyer explains things well, isn't pushy and really cares about the animals she sees. They have been supportive and informative through big and small decisions when it comes to our dog. Would recommend them to everyone in a heartbeat. As a side note they accept care credit and pet insurance (not sure if all)

Dr. Boyer and her staff are great. They are so caring. Our corgi was ill and we were able to get in on short notice and they also go the extra to keep her comfortable while they did her vitals. Dr. Boyer is detailed with her explanation and diagnosis and won't order tests she doesn't think is needed. They always follow up the next day to see how our pet is doing.

I've been in the Tucson area for 4 years now. Back in Arizona since December 2009. And I have to come clean. I've been vet hopping. I'm owned by 5 pets, 3 dogs and 2 cats. My dogs range in size from 19 lbs to 85 lbs to 130 lbs. Small, medium, and large. For the most part they're healthy and doing great, but when my terrier mix developed bad breath (bad doesn't begin to explain it.

His breath smelled like he'd just eaten fresh zombies) and was pawing at his mouth, I knew I had to find a good vet. Dr. Boyer is that vet. I've been searching for a veterinary doctor I could trust with my "kids", one who'd genuinely care for them, one who loves what they do, and one who gives a level and quality of care I'd grown accustomed to when I lived in Wisconsin.

Last week, my little dog went in for dental surgery. He had to have all of his teeth, and part of his jaw removed. I was called twice during the surgery with updates by the vet tech Robert. Robert is another amazing addition to our experience. He's gentle, informative, and kind. When my fur baby was released Dr. Boyer sat with me, taking her time to explain what she did, then Robert took over with the after care instructions. I'm a massage therapy instructor and had to bring my little dog with me to class after picking him up.

I was given a blanket (which I'm going to wash and return) to carry him out with, and a hug from Dr. Boyer. She thanked me for trusting her with my pet. I'll only use Dr. Boyer's clinic from now on. And my little dog, Diogie, is doing fantastically! Thank you to everyone at Speedway Veterinary Hospital!

I am the dog-mom of a very nervous 39lb german shephard mix. I knew that when I picked him up at PACC, that I wanted to find a good quality vet for a lower price. I picked this location for the good reviews. Our experience wasn't bad, I just admittedly don't feel like it was a great fit. Their exam room is relatively small and did nothing to ease his anxiety.

When they gave him his shots, I watched as they muzzled him and repeatedly tapped him on the head "to distract him." Whereas this might be okay for most dogs, my buddy flinches at the lightest of taps when he is as terrified as he was. It was an incredibly stressful environment for both of us. Seeing this, I decided I'd be willing to dish out some extra money to find him a place that is a little less stressful on him. Again, it's not as if they did anything wrong, I just don't think it worked for my anxious buddy. A 3-star rating of A-OK is perfectly reflective of our experience.

Extremely friendly and caring staff. We just relocated to Tucson and had a new puppy who wasn't feeling well. They fit her in that day and handled her treatment very honestly. They did not charge me for a lot of things I didn't need and their prices are incredibly reasonable. They called backed to check on her and seem genuinely concerned about her and her getting better. The Doctor is very nice and knowledgable and took the time to discuss things with me. I trust these folks with my precious pup.

My cat has been vomiting for 24 hours and I was able to get an appointment within the hour to get her checked out. I've heard good things from friends and they were right! The staff is friendly, the place is clean and the Dr. Is very polite to her staff and explained everything to us in a knowledgeable, non judgemental and caring way. I found my friendly neighborhood vet and she's awesome!
