Located in beautiful Southwest NC, Steele Creek Animal Hospital was founded by Charlotte native Dr. Patricia Young in 1985. Our facility has been committed to providing pets in the Charlotte, Fort Mill, Clover, Lake Wylie, Gastonia, and York County, South Carolina communities with the finest in veterinary care since the day we opened.
Originally from Connecticut, Melynda Enslow moved to North Carolina in the winter of 2004. Having worked in the human medical field prior to her move, she decided this transplant created the perfect opportunity to change careers and focus on her true passion, companion animal care. She quickly found a position at a local veterinary hospital and has worked in the animal field ever since.

We just recently transferred to Steele Creek to have out greyhound seen for rehab due to a spinal injury. Because we had such an awesome experience with the rehab sessions, we then decided to go to Steele Creek for primary care. So far we've worked with Dr Schuver and reception team member Arielle and they have both been incredible to work with. Dr Schuver spent time listening and helping us understand the issue and answering all of our questions and really took time and care to figure out the best treatment plan. We appreciate the team so much and everyone is friendly and helpful!

This hospital is nothing short of amazing! I remember reaching out to them initially by phone and they were so detailed and helpful through the entire conversation. I know they must be animal lovers to work here, however the depth of their genuine love for animals is clear when you both speak with them and then meet them in person. Literally everyone from the office staff was amazing to work with and if I have any future needs I will definitely be back here. Thank you for doing such an amazing job and I wish this hospital continued success!

We brought our dogs there from their first checkups to their last, every visit and check up in between. Service was generally good. We found out we could save about 50% on our dogs meds by ordering them through Chewy. Worst of all, and I still can't wrap my head around this, they literally brought us the bill for euthanizing our dog, while we were in the room saying goodbye.
We've been coming there for ten years, we're going to dash out on our $150 bill!? We'd spent thousands of dollars there, how about you just mail it to us. It was so cold of them, we're sitting on the floor heartbroken, holding our pup, then hold on let me grab my credit card real quick. I can assure you, we will never be back. Whoever thought this business practice was a good idea should be ashamed.

I've been taking my dog to Steele Creek Animal Hospital for over 10 years. I initially started going there because I lived in the Steele Creek area. Despite moving about 35 minutes away from it, I continue to take my dog there, despite several closer options. They are so good with my pup and I will never go anywhere else for veterinary treatment or for boarding.

This hospital understands customer service. They are empathetic and not interested in nickel and diming you. They have been very effective at treating my two dogs and have always been forthcoming and transparent about procedures, medications, and treatment. I highly recommend Steele Creek Animal Hospital.

Great staff who definitely puts your pets needs first and foremost. Took my dog in for a second opinion regarding potential illness, Dr. Schuver and staff took the time to sit with me, listen to my concerns and discuss possible solutions. Never felt rushed or hurried and being able to speak one on one made a big difference. Just an overall positive experience.
