I visited them some years ago with my dogs. They all passes from old age but the service I received during the years I visited was perfect. The aids were very nice My bulldog loved seeing them. The Doctor, Jennifer Hew, is tops in medical knowledge and as human being. She loves dogs.

Worst experience ever. Legalized thievery. I went there to have my dog neutered. Charged over $100 for pre-op testing. Then because I took exception to the inconsistencies in their pricing they refused to operate my dog on the grounds "I didn't trust them". Of course they keep our test money because we "authorized" it. I've never experienced anything more unethical.

They are ones that cannot make up their mind about what things cost and because I call them out on it, we get punished. What am I going to do, a hire a lawyer over $100 bucks? That is ridiculous. Totally cheated us. Any business has a right to decline anyone for any reason but keeping a persons money under false pretenses is a dishonest use of the paperwork we sign as consumers. Total cheats.

I always have a great experience at Hammocks vet. My puppy also love it and feel calm when she's there. They're very attentive, informative and you can truly tell that everyone there genuinely loves animals and likes what they're doing. I love Hammocks vet and I'm so happy to have them take care of puppy.

Dr. Hew us amazing and so is all of her team! They are passionate about what they do and it shows not only with the furry ones, but with us!

Excellent veterinary services for our 2 large bully breed pups! Started bringing our boys to Dr. Hew during the height of Covid quarantine and she was able to resolve some recurring issues that were not getting better under the care of other vets and was quick to treat a number of emergency issues. She is extremely well versed and thorough with all aspects of their care and offers a variety of solutions to suit our budget and lifestyle as pet owners.

We have also received care from Dr. Rose, on occasion, and we're very happy with her services as well. The entire staff is friendly and communicative and they always follow up quickly. It's not the closest to our house but is worth the drive for the quality of care. We will continue to bring our pets here. Highly recommend!

I've been bringing my Cats to Hammocks Veterinary hospital for many years now and only continue to love them more. The staff is caring, professional and reliable. I have been a customer for at least 10 years. The staff always is friendly and makes my dog and I feel welcome. Dr. Hew & Dr. Rose give excellent care and accurate diagnosis when things are not right.

I just adopted a new kitty (Nala) & urgently wanted to take her to see a vet for a routine checkup. One of the vets near me happened to be Hammocks Vet Hospital. When I went in everyone was very attentive & had good energy which is important for me when choosing a Vet. They answered all my questions but most importantly, they made sure I left with more than what I was expecting.

They gave me great advice on regular prevention medication for the kitty & let me know the benefits of having pet insurance. I immediately went home & signed up and do not regret it one bit. Thank you guys! Highly recommend

All my yorkies have been under the care of Dr. Hew and Dr. Rose since 1986, I would not take them anywhere else. They are caring and understanding of my anxiety when nothing is well with any of them, I want to show my appreciation her for the best veterinary care in Miami. Thank You

Don't come here they over charge for things your pet doesn't even need and the doctor is very rude see their response on the google page. My pet had gotten shots at the Miami dade clinic and the vet wanted to redo the vaccines. She claimed that their clinics use cheap crappy drugs. Which I would have believed if they weren't trying to sell me antibiotics for my cat when he didn't even have an infection. Didn't have a fever or anything and is very playful not to mention no physical signs of infection. Long story short save your money and make sure you read the reviews.

I took my 9year old female black Labrador to be examined by them. I used to go to banfield for over four years and decided to find a new vet after a misdiagnosis. Dr Hew examined her and in 30 minutes told me things about my dog missed by banfield after supposedly having cared for my dog. My dog would growl at everyone from banfield that touched her.

I should have paid more attention to my dog telling me something. Everyone at Hammocks was accepted by my dog and no growling. Hammocks have gotten my dog back to her old self even with having Cushings disease. Everyone at Hammocks is courteous and genuinely care about animals. Just listen to your animal.

They received 5 star service for me! A few months back, I was there to put my chihuahua down after 15+ years with him. It was obviously a tough moment. The doctor was sweet with my dog and me. She took her time and handled the whole thing the best it could of gone. I had him cremated, when I picked up the box they had made a very special gift for me. I am forever grateful ~ Thank you.

There are an array of different reviews for this veterinary hospital but I guarantee my review is 5 stars. I come from a long lineage of careful pet ownership where my parents' vet is like a family member. When I moved to Miami, I was researching where to take my kitty. I was recommended Hammocks by a friend and neighbor so I gave it a chance.

I called to make an appointment and it was an easy process. We were welcomed by a friendly staff who made it even more comforting. When I met Dr. Hew I got a great feeling that she cares for her patients. She examined Jasmine well and was thorough. I was extremely happy with the overall experience. prices are reasonable for the services. I recommend this vet!

Been going to Hammocks Veterinary Hospital for over 10 years. They have always been great with me and my pets. I was in last week as my dog was not doing well and I appreciated the time they took to exam my dog and give treatment. Doc called the following day as a follow up and the staff the day after that. Pets can't tell you what is wrong with them. HVH does a great job to figure things out.

My first review about this vet office was a bit negative because I was angry about being pushed to purchase unnecessary things that my pet didn't need. But I just brought my pup here outside of her annual check-up because she was limping after a cat chasing episode. I must say, the level of attention had changed and I no longer felt like I was being pressured into purchasing additional items!

When I left Dr. Hew's office today, there was no sales pitch about buying Royale Canine dog food, ear cleaner, or anything else. Before it felt like a pushy business where all the office cared about was your money, instead of your pets, but I am so glad the vibe has changed. Dr. Hew and her staff were really attentive and provided my pup with the utmost attention and care. Although still on the expensive side I will continue to come see Dr. Hew.

Incompetents. First time I took my dog there for a bath, took them 7 hours to have my dog 'done', however, they 'forgot' to clean her ears, 'forgot' to trim the nails, and 'forgot' to express the gland. Beginning of the year, I saw a small white worm in he poop so I took her there for the second time - they 'collect' the sample (swab), and after a few days without results, I called them and they said she was fine, no worms. - Guess what? She still have worms, they are visible in her stool! They are not concerned with the well being of your dog or family - as long as they cash on you, its fine.

This place was a complete waste of my time and a total scam. I made an app and came in to get a rabies shot for my dog. They were extremely rude and condescending to me, even when I was simply questioning their charges. I even overheard one of the ladies saying how she's "always been like this, " justifying herself for her snappy attitude. They didn't want to give my dog the 3 year rabies shot, even though I brought proof that he had already gotten the 1 year the prior year because he was a few days over the period. (Of course, this is their way of getting another year of business from me when I have to return in 1 year versus 3).

After I agreed, another lady brings me the estimate for the 1 year shot with incorrect info about my dog, he's a male not female. The lady cuts me off when I comment on that and says "This is the same quote we show everyone". Uh, no? If you're providing me with an estimate, how do I know the rest is not inaccurate if you can't even write down that my dogs correct sex?

I ended up walking out after they tried to charge me $50 for a "check up" fee since he was new to the clinic. I ended up going to the humane society in Cutler Bay and got the 3 year rabies shot for $26 and waited less than 15 min to be helped. My quote was for $87 at this clinic for just the 1 year shot WITHOUT the license with Miami-Dade. Extremely rude, unprofessional and uncaring. Never ever going there again.

Great, friendly and CLEAN service located in a convenient location in the Hammocks. Pricing is a bit high compared to other vets and I've noticed they are quick to recommend medicine, food and vitamins for sales. Overall not too bad, but if you have one that's closer to home might want to check them out first.

Good service and friendly staff but very pricey compared to other vets in Miami and with more experience. Main vet is quick to prescribe medicine for the pets.

The service is very good but they are quite pricey. It feels a little too much like a business for my taste.
