We recommend routine six-month pet check-ups in order to detect and treat any abnormalities before the conditions become too far advanced and untreatable. Which includes an IDEXX LaserCyte Complete Blood Count & Dry Chemistry machine which will give complete blood analysis within ten minutes in order to quickly & appropriately start treating your pet.
Dr. Ernesto Perez received his DVM in 1994 from the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Perez founded Brighton Park Animal Hospital in 2001. Dr. Perez is an active member of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association, and American Veterinary Medical Association.

We originally brought our dog here for a rabies vaccine. Luckily, Dr. Gruszka took a closer look at him and found that he had a major dental infection as well as other issues. He ultimately needed surgery to remove a golfball-size growth in his spleen and stones in his bladder. If it wasn't for Dr. Gruszka, our dog would have been seriosuly ill. He was compassionate and thorough with his care.
The staff was also nice and helpful. The only issue I had was that I wish there was 24/7 supervision. After surgery, my dog had to be in a cage overnight without supervision.

Never had a problem with this place until I brought my new Frenchie here. Always had to track then down for results. Twice I was charged for analysis that were never performed or completed. I do not recommend this place for specific breeds. If you just need the basics done, you shouldn't have a problem

I'm not usually one to write reviews but I scheduled this appointment because someone needed to rehome a cat and I took her in without any knowledge of how old she was etc but I did have an idea that she was under 1 year old based on her size. I added one star for the very nice receptionists and staff. This was a first initial exam for my kitty and it was so rushed Dr. Perez entered the room listed all the services given to my cat and rushed out of the room, I didn't even have time to ask anything about my cat, what food she should be eating etc.
I would've loved to have a more thoughtful Vet for my cat as I have never had a cat before and was extremely disappointed at the service I was given. I paid a total of 280$ here and have had better service at PAWS. I was okay with all the services given to my cat until he informed me he chipped her without me even OK this and then went on to passive aggressively tell me he took the charge off for free when I never asked him to, I only informed him I didn't ask to have her chipped.

I highly recommend Dr. Carlo Saviori if you want a vet that actually cares about your pets. All of the staff at Brighton Park Animal Hospital are exceptionally warm and professional but Dr Saviori really stands out as a compassionate and knowledgeable Vet. We are so lucky to have found him after moving to Chicago, we are so grateful for all of his help in restoring our elderly dog's dental health!
