I previously had them rated at five stars. Since being purchased by Banfield, their service and offerings have been greatly impacted. No more boarding. Originally cancelled due to a "water pipe situation", but never to return again. My dog's appointments constantly get cancelled, with no avails for weeks, or referrals to other locations. I've been trying to get my dog in since March for a teeth cleaning. Sad to see a great business go downhill. I will be going elsewhere in the future.

Vet techs Courtney & Gracie are absolutely wonderful and make our dogs experience enjoyable by going above and beyond. Dr. Fox, Dr. Reece, & Dr. Katz have always been quick and responsive when needed.

Just awful. I made my first appointment there and they called a few days before to cancel and have me reschedule. I rescheduled and was told that I would have to drop my dog off in the morning and could not pick him up until late afternoon. He's a 5lb dog for crying out loud. Will just continue to go to the one in Niles since it seems like many of the Banfield locations in the city have the tendency to cancel as this is not the first time and low-quality service.

The quality of care you get here is hit or miss. Dr. Katz is wonderful. But I have to question the wherewithal of the other vet. One of our cats was misdiagnosed by him. He said my cat may have developed allergies when I took her in for labored breathing. He gave her some kind of shot and said to monitor her - and if she didn't get better after an hour or two, bring her back.

I brought her back, at which point he said he never told me to come back. We ended up taking her to an emergency vet, who told us our cat was experiencing congestive heart failure and that her chest area was filled with blood. We euthanized her that day.

Constantly canceling my dog's appointments for months I can't get her into the office to get treated. Either the vet likes his vacation time or there isn't anyone working. I had enough! Would never trust my dog with these people! Glad I went to a different location. Can't blame it on Banfield only the people who took on this new location (Gold Coast Vet) because the previous office on Kingsbury was great!

I really appreciate Dr. Katz. I'd like to thank her for taking such good care of Max throughout his life. I am sad to hear she will no longer be practicing at Gold Coast/Banfield.

The nicest person There is the receptionist Julie. Dr is nice but doesn't get back to you when he says he will in regards to your pet unless you call and pester. I'm sad they sold to Banfield which is an overall terrible place for your pets needs, but they charge you whatever they want as if it's still Gold Coast animal hospital. Pick a side!

I first want to thank Dr. Reese, Dr. Katz, Julie and Annmarie for helping my animals. I was so thankful for your help. The ORIGINAL Gold Coast Animal Hospital - always went above and beyond! I had been going to Gold Coast for almost 20 years and they helped me with my animals. I am SO disappointed with the new standards and Banfield 's over all take over.

It's about profit for Banfield. Here are the simple facts - 1. Dog is not feeling well- collected his urine to see if it is a UTI. asked if I could drop off his urine to have it tested( which I would pay for) Was scolded by the receptionist because he was last seen in January 2021( for a teeth cleaning). Refused to accept the urine and No one could see him: 2.

I had a pre- scheduled appointment for this week4/20 and was asking for flexibility/assistance 3. My pre- scheduled appointment was canceled today due to the dr having an ER( I completely understand ) however when I was originally begging for my dog to be seen, I was met with scolding and told to take him to the ER. I am sad with Banfield's lack of customer service and treatment of long standing customers. 4.

I attempted to call during the am and pm business hour ( as indicated on- line) however the automatic message is on at 8 am till almost 845 am ( indicating they are closed ). this evening tried to call at 6 pm and the automated message was on again despite the fact they are supposed to be open till 7 pm. GREAT JOB Banfield. Finally, I am sad to leave and I am truly thankful for Dr's and all the amazing original staff. BEWARE of BANFIELD!

I am a 25 year client. Loved them until they merged w/Banfield. Now impossible to get them on the phone, make an appt and their wonderful staff is being worked to death. Too bad.they will lose alot of long term clients.

We've used Gold Coast for several years. The doctors are kind and very good with dogs who don't care much (and that's a nice way of putting it) for examinations. The front desk staff are always friendly and have an attitude that makes veterinary trips less stressful. And finally, the vet techs and boarding staff also do a terrific job. We've boarded our dogs on several occasions and they've always come home happy and healthy so we know they're getting some love while we are away. The neighborhood is lucky to have Gold Coast.

This staff is amazing. After just one visit, they always remembered my name and my pet's name. Dr. Reece added years to the life of my pup. He's literally the best. When I moved away for a couple of years, they would still answer and return my calls about treatment options, medications, and second opinions. They become very invested in the health of the pets that go there. Also, when our dog was on daily medication, they would hand deliver it to our door each month. Now that we're back, I wouldn't think of bringing my pets anywhere else.

I've been taking my dog, Ellie, and bird, Harry, here for about ten years. We have always had a great experience. Ellie has needed a surgery on each of her legs, and as someone else said in a review, they are extremely reasonably priced and yet very professional and do a great job. Dr. Reece is wonderful. They are great with Harry, the bird, because they love to have him there and take him out and play with him during the day. I've always been really happy with Gold Coast Animal Hospital.
