I am so thankful to this animal hospital. I lost my cat here not at their doing. I want to thank all of this team working so fast and being so caring and being very supportive and loving my baby just as much as I did and do. Thank you for trying to save him thank you for caring for him and helping him. Thank you for running test and being honest with me about his prognosis and doing your research on his history.
I have no worries taking him here in his time of need thank you all for the love you provided and care. It's hard to express my appreciation to all of them I am at a loss of words on how wonderful this place is.

I have been taking my cat here for 18 years, since her very first visit at 4 weeks old. The doctors and staff are the best! My cat started getting sick about 1.5 months ago and all the doctors she saw and staff that handled her treated her like she was their cat also. Unfortunately, due to age and circumstances, she passed away last night. Though very sad, I felt like my family was taking care of her while grieving with me. Shout out to Jennifer, Dr Fowler, Dr Isherwood and the person on duty at 1:30am this morning (sorry I didn't get her name) for doing their best for my sweet 18 year old!

We had to make the difficult decision to put our sweet Lily to sleep on Saturday night/early Sunday morning due to increasing frequency of seizures. We called in advance, and the staff at Jefferson Animal Hospital were very professional and advised us of the cost and helped us with any questions that we had about the decision making process for our dog.
It was comforting to us when the Dr. asked us about Lily's behavior pre and post seizures and that she agreed with us that Lily was telling us that it was her time. The Dr. (I am not sure if it was Dr. Sayre) was amazing and handled the process wonderfully. She complimented my wife on the great condition that Lily was in despite her struggles with frequent seizures, and walked my wife through Lily's final moments perfectly. Today, we received the personalized card in the mail signed by Dr. Sayre.
Thank you all for caring about our beloved Lily and making sure that her life was honored and understood, even in a brief 30 minute flash of time. We are forever grateful to you all.

My dog is dieing and in need of surgery. At first they told my dogs vet that the estimated surgery cost would be so and so amount. I'm not rich but I took out loans for this amount only to find out later when I called they raised the cost to double that and even went so far as to claim they never spoke with my vet. I asked if there was any other alternative they could offer because she was dieing.
They simply said no. That they offered no billing and no other options. They don't care about how you're grieving and they definitely don't care about your animals. When it comes down to it all they care about is getting money from your pain. I do not recommend if your beloved animal is dieing and you don't have money. They've made it very clear they will NOT work with you.

I have no words to say how deeply glad I am With the staff and Doctors at this place. First I took my youngest because she was not breathing right. They took her and gave me all the options they had and advice me what was needed. They just are not money crows that take advantage of you they charge for what is needed for your love one. Thanks god my baby it's well.
Today we were back with my oldest dog and the doctor was so caring, the staff were there for us at our darkest moment. There was nothing they could do to make her well and the doctor advice us to make her departure comfortably. I even heard the doctor tell the assistance " Do not charge her this much they are in enough pain already ". You can make you own conclusions but I will say this, if I could gave them 100 stars I would. Thank you to all the staff to be there for for us and make us feel the warmth of your caring. Mili will be in our hearts forever but your work will be too.

My dog unexpectedly fell ill one evening recently. We weren't sure what the issue was, but we knew it was serious immediately. We called Jefferson Animal Hospital, explained our issue and rushed over. They were prompt, thorough and made sure they talked us through the entire process. Dr. Shumar truly cares about her patients and that shows through.
Her steadiness and honesty throughout the evening got us home with our pup. They also gave us a very in-depth walkthrough of things we needed to do once we left with him. They made sure we felt comfortable with everything before we left. His symptoms got better as the next few days went on, and he has been perfect since then. I cannot thank this team enough for doing what they do. I highly recommend their services!

I had to take my 2 yr old cat in for an emergency visit. Unfortunately he had to be euthanized which was completely unexpected. I was distraught and the staff was so nice and understanding. Leah was so kind to us upon arrival and Dr. Kennedy explained everything to me and even sent me a sympathy card which is very appreciated. I would recommend this clinic 100%.

On 11/19/21 about 9 pm, my beloved Cindy girl, over 16 years old, who I had had since a young pup, went totally paralyzed. I took her to Jefferson Animal Emergency Center on Outer Loop. These people were AMAZING! Due to her age and condition, I realized the only right thing to do was to humanely euthanize her so she would not suffer. Staff were so kind, caring and compassionate. A special thank you to Dr. Sayre and Q.

One of my dogs escaped through a small opening in our fence and was unfortunately hit by a truck. It was on the weekend in the evening when our vet was closed, so we took her to Jefferson Animal Hospital as it was the closest 24 hour veterinary care to us. We were so impressed by the compassion and kindness all the staff showed us while they were caring for our baby.
The veterinarian explained everything to us regarding her injuries, as well as recommended tests and pricing. I would highly recommend Jefferson Animal Hospital to anyone who may need it for their pet.

Got my kitten from a stranger, come to find out he had a tapeworm. I took him to Jefferson Animal Hospital and they diagnosed him quickly and efficiently and sent me home with excellent instructions and medications. He still wasn't feeling well and I had to take him back, because of how sick he was, I couldn't take care of him the way he needed. I spoke with the techs and they found a tech that worked there to take him home after he properly healed from everything he needed.
They reassured me I made the right decision and gave him a second chance at life. I am beyond thankful for everyone at Jefferson animal clinic beyond words. They are a god send. They are so kind to their patients as well as the patients owners! Especially Liz!

On Monday night, we had to take our 13-year-old Yorkie, Mason, to the hospital after he was attacked by a neighbor's dog in our yard. We knew he was too injured to live, but wanted them to help him pass peacefully. While it was a tragic time for us and I don't recall anyone's name, they were wonderful. They were so empathetic and their care for Mason and their compassion for my loss was more than I could have asked for during such a horrible life event. Thank you to this team of professionals for your care and concern. Mason was an amazing family member and he is deeply missed. I highly recommend.

A few days ago I went into panic mode when my 3 month old kitten I recently got started getting sick and lethargic. It was late in the evening and I'm from Southern indiana so everything around me was closed so I just went to the closest emergency center open I could find on Google. When I got them they took him right inside to wait to be seen. They made him very comfortable and ran a bunch of tests on him, after 3 hours or so being there they had a diagnosis.
I am so saddened to say that my furbaby had a kidney disease he was born with that could not be treated because he was going to pass away so I had to have him euthanized. Dr Windham and the rest of the JAH staff were very compassionate and gave me all the time I needed to make decisions, to figure out my financial situation, to get somebody to come with me so I wasn't alone.
And to say goodbye. I couldn't afford to send him to be placed in an urn so I had to choose the cheaper option which was that the hospital would cremate him and send his ashes to be sprinkled on a farm which I found kinda sweet and comforting. They also made sure to send me home with some momentos of his fur and paw prints so I didn't go home completely empty handed.
I am so grateful for the JAH staff being there to help me through that awful night. And although my family has some healing to do I will be forever thankful Dr. Windham and the JAH staff treated my furbaby like their own. I just opened a handwritten card from them today expressing their condolences and I am going to put it on the shelf with my other momentos to always see and remember my baby Koda Kat by.
