The staff at Eagan Pet Clinic consists of five dedicated and caring veterinarians and a wonderful group of licensed veterinary technicians, receptionists, and kennel assistants whose main goal is to work together in order to provide our clients with high quality, compassionate state-of-the-art medical care.
Erika is originally from Iowa but found her true home state when she moved to Minnesota in 2007. Erika graduated from Bellevue University with a Bachelor of Science in Business. She previously owned two successful pet grooming, retail and boarding businesses before finding her true calling managing veterinary clinics.
Jackie joined Eagan Pet Clinic in August of 2011 when she was a vet tech student at Argosy. Soon after, she started her internship with us and graduated from Argosy in May of 2012. Now a certified veterinary technician, she has worked her way into the EPC Family and has been "teching" ever since. Jackie is also EPC's kennel manager and she works hard at making sure that our hospital is clean and well-maintained for our clients and their pets. She has two wonderful sons, a two-legged one named Ryland and a four-legged one named Marty McFly.
Michelle has been a welcoming bright spot as a receptionist at Eagan Pet Clinic since 1993. Michelle is one of the first smiling faces that will greet you at the clinic. When she is not up front providing exceptional customer service, she is usually busy ordering all the different prescription diets that Eagan Pet Clinic carries in order to maintain the health of our patients. She shares her home with her husband, son and a Labrador/Brittany named Ace. When she is not working, she stays busy with her son's many activities.

This is probably the best veterinary practice I've ever brought my cat to. Everyone on staff is incredibly kind and understanding. I recently took my cat in for a dental cleaning with them, and I really appreciated the fact that the vet called me herself to update me once his cleaning was finished. I also received a follow-up call from them the next day to check in and make sure my cat didn't have any negative side effects from the anesthesia--something I didn't expect but was really pleased they did. Excellent practice all around!

I came to Eagan Pet Clinic shortly after the pandemic. I switched from another local vet in the area after issues diagnosing my dog with IVDD.
I’ve always been able to get in quickly with them and they have the best staff. All the vets are good but Dr Wolf is my favorite.
This month was incredibly sucky as far as losing two cats within two weeks to FIP. On one of those days I also found out my kitten broke her leg.
I’ve had countless emergencies this month and even being at my wits end with everything that has happened, they have always handled me and my pets well. I wouldn’t take them anywhere else. Thank you Eagan Per Clinic!

My family has been going to this clinic since the early 90s. They have helped us through some rough spots with our fur babies. I had a bad experience where I currently live and decided to drive the 40 minutes back to this clinic because the staff and Dr's here are so compassionate and caring. Thank you guys for being so amazing

I have brought in my cat in here a few times, and have had nothing but good experiences. The front end staff are very friendly and polite, and the communication level is excellent. Charges seem to be in line with what is expected. They had no problem with two different drop-in visits (no appointment) for infections, which was certainly appreciated. Drop off/pick up service was offered, very convenient for someone who works full time. All in all a good vet!

Very friendly and compassionate staff. We had to put down two dogs since we have been going to Eagan Pet Clinic and everyone we interacted with was extremely empathetic, caring, and compassionate. They are also very communicative about appointments and overall status of their operations which is very appreciated.

This place is wonderful! I just started going to them because I didn't feel like my old vet clinic cared as much as they should. I have an 80lb dog that is reactive to other dogs so bringing her where she might see other dogs gives me a lot of anxiety, however, Eagan Pet Clinic is amazing with how they handle it! I feel 100% confident brining my reactive dog there. She gets treated with so much love and care. 1000% recommend!

We've been going to Eagan Pet Clinic for 15 years and have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. They've taken excellent care of the 3 cats and 3 dogs we've brought there. They have been available for questions, routine visits, difficult diagnosis, the awful goodbyes, and the exciting new hellos. They handle everything with skill, kindness, and experience. We love care our pets receive at Eagan Pet Clinic.

I recently brought my new puppy into the vet. I've been a customer for years. Over the last few years the customer service has gone way down hill and their quality of service has followed. When my puppy was at their clinic they found it was infected with giardia. However when I picked my dog up they failed to inform me. A month later they advised they made a mistake and told me about the disease.
For those who don't know, this is very contagious to other dogs and it got my other dog sick, and my children's dog sick. They didn't seem to care and I had to argue to have them cover the medications for all the dogs which I still ended up paying part of. Highly disappointed and they did nothing to try to remedy the situation. A customer for 10 years out the door.
I will not be back. Update: we were contacted by the vet who advised we were not welcomed back to their establishment as long as this review was on this site. Needles to say we obtained our records and found a new place for my dogs.

My pets have been patients of Eagan Vet Clinic for almost 4 hrs now. I had a neuter surgery scheduled with EPC for my cat for 2wks. During this 2 wk period, I noticed a separate health issue with my cat and had him treated by EPC in the mean time before his surgery. This treatment required 2 at-home meds to be given, one of which he is still taking - surgery was scheduled for today, 2/2/2021.
I called EPC yesterday to be sure it was ok for my cat to undergo surgery while still taking meds for his other health issue. The first person I spoke with in the morning said she'd ask the dr and call me "right back." Finally at the tail end of the day yesterday, a technician called me, but hadn't spoken to a dr.was simply calling me back regarding the message that was left in the first place.
Her solution was to bring my cat by 9a today for surgery as planned, and if the dr felt like it was a risk after an initial exam, they would reschedule. It wasn't ideal, as it was loading all my kids up and making a trip for nothing potentially, but I agreed. Trying to get kids to where they need to be along with getting my cat where he needed to be, all with a newborn along for the ride wasn't going to be easy time-wise, but it was necessary for the cat's sake.
So this morning I arrive at 850a with my cat, my newborn son and 9yr old daughter, who has to start school by 930. I call and get checked in with the desk. They say someone will call me shortly to get my cat. By 920.30 full mins of waiting, I call again to see if they can get my cat because I needed to get my daughter to school. I get put on hold for another 5mins before someone gets on the phone TO CHECK ME IN.AGAIN!
At this point the tech asks if my cat has fasted. Unfortunately, even though I spoke with someone from EPC TWICE yesterday, they failed to mention that I needed to fast my cat. So at this point it's nearly 930a, my cat can't be seen, and my daughter is late to school. 100% waste of my time. I understand things are different these days, but they've been this way for a year now.
These issues of failing to inform a patient that they need to fast before a surgery, returning phone calls without answering any questions, being nearly 30 mins late. I don't think these issues have anything to do with the pandemic. You'd think, too, that having a scheduled surgery leave because of their mistake would at the VERY least prompt a call from an office manager or some one in customer service to try to rectify the situation, but nothing. Pretty sad. Looks like routine money makers are all this clinic are interested in.

So far, so good. Brought my 4mo pup for our first visit today. All of the staff were kind and Dr. Paige Holum sat right on the floor at my dog's level for most of the visit. She gave a lot of great advice and perspective I hadn't thought of before for training my newest fur baby. I don't have a lot of history with the Eagan Pet Clinic yet, but plan to continue care there for any of Zeus' needs!

Do not take your pet to Eagan Pet Clinic. The vets pretend like they are knowledgeable about animal medical and care about your pet, but the clinic is only focused on making money (and lots of it). We had our dog, Roux's Valley Fever (fungal infection) medication all figured out and regulated. Dr. Holum recommended we take him off of it, and giving her our trust, we did. Months later, Roux had a severe flare up (diarrhea, rapidly loosing weight, not eating or drinking, and lame back leg). Dr. Holum was adamant that it was not the Valley Fever and convinced us to run multiple tests (all which came negative and cost around $200-400 a test). Finally, we racked up almost $2k in vet bills when Dr. Holum admitted she wasn't an "expert" on fungal infections and referred us to the UoM specialty vet. Then, after another expensive vet bill and ultrasound, the UoM specialty vet told us it was more than likely Valley Fever.
We put Roux back on his Valley Fever meds and within 2 weeks he was back to his healthy self! I spoke with Eagan Pet Clinic's manager about how we felt like we had gotten screwed out of a lot of money and had the go around with unnecessary testing. The manager was unwilling to take any responsibility or refund us for any of the testing. Regardless of the monetary circumstances, the terrible thing is that our dog suffered for almost 2 months.
I definitely feel like Eagan Pet Clinic took advantage of our emotions and trust. We have already found another vet and will not be going to Eagan Pet Clinic ever again. IN RESPONSE TO THE CLINIC'S COMMENT: The very first thing I asked when I initially spoke to your Clinic Manager was that we all sit down in person to discuss this matter. Your entire staff was adamant about NOT meeting in person, and only talking over the phone. Also, if your clinic doesn't plan on owning up to their mistakes and reimbursing us for some of our vet bills, why would I waste my time trying to schedule a meeting with you to be told what you already told me over the phone?

All I have ever wanted in a clinic was: decent prices, honest answers, quality care, and kind staff. After owning more than 5 dogs throughout my life. I can honestly say I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. Jessica Schowalter and her entire staff went above and beyond to care for my pets. and it didn't break my bank. She provided excellent care and lots of options for treatment.
Her staff treated my pups like they were their own and it was all I could ever ask for. I live in Hugo MN. I drive to Eagan MN any time my pets need care. its over a 50 minute drive and I pass a large amount of clinics on the way. I will continue to do this because the care is exceptional. And my pets deserve to be treated there.

My family had been bringing our animals to Eagan Pet Clinic ever since I can remember - at least 20 years. In the last couple years there has been a change in ownership and with that new staff and many of the old staff and old vets have left. The new desk staff members are rude and the new vets just really seem like they don't care. They might be good at their jobs but have really terrible customer service and zero compassion.
On my last visit there, the vet we saw wouldn't even touch my dog. It was very upsetting to me, and with that and after being pressured numerous times to spend money on things I don't believe necessary, I finally went and found a new vet.

The vet care is acceptable, The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced at a pet clinic. I have had dogs my entire adult life (30 years). I have taken them to various clinics, depending on where I live. The last clinic I had been at, I went there for over a decade with three different dogs and a few other animals, and never once had a single problem with them.
At Eagan Pet Clinic, I was often forced to wait in the lobby for well over 30 minutes just to see a vet tech, and then might wait another 10-15 minutes to see the vet, who might spend 5 minutes with me and my dog. This became more or less the norm. When I tried to complain about it, the vet basically said these things happen and might happen again and it is out of our control.
When I asked to leave a message for one of the owners about this, she said she'd see if the owner was available. The owner (a vet) told me I had yelled at her staff (I did not) and made them cry, and that I had forced her to scrub out of surgery to speak to me (I did not even know she was in surgery and actually had asked to leave her a voicemail) and then she told me to find another vet, and this is after taking my animals there for many years. I complained, within reason, and was basically told, go away, your customer loyalty doesn't mean anything.

We have been going to this clinic for several years with our dogs and cats, and we are very happy with the care they provide. We had to take a cat in on an emergency last fall on a Friday afternoon. Even though we did not even have time to call before arrival, they took care of her quickly. Unfortunately, she had to be euthanized, but Dr. Wood and every single staff member were caring and compassionate throughout. They also remember us when we have come back with other pets. We can usually get same day appointments at times that work for us. We highly recommend this office.

I don't live in MN anymore but when I did I took all my pets to Eagan Pet Clinic for over 10 years. Every doctor there is amazing and goes above and beyond when needed to help care for your pet. Their prices have gone up a little over the years but are still reasonable and they don't charge you for unnecessary things. I only wish I could find a vet this good where I live now.
