Always friendly and helpful in a time of need. We had to bring our old dog here several years ago to be put to sleep in an emergency on the weekend. They were so kind and compassionate. Our new dog got bit by some kind of bug and his nose swelled up. His regular vet was so busy they could not take him. So we brought him here. They were so wonderful to him and to us. Expensive, but worth it. Nice, knowledgeable staff and doctors.

Yesterday we lost a dear friend and family member of ours. Tebow's demise was sudden and unexpected. As he suddenly became ill we searched for an emergency vet and found Upstate Vet & Specialty Care. I cannot express enough how happy I am for that decision. Obviously the outcome was not what we desired but the care that he received as well as my wife and daughter was extraordinary and truly over the top. Tebow was managed with a tremendous urgency and professionalism throughout while making sure to include us as difficult decisions had to be made.

Ultimately he lost the battle but this staff did not stop caring for him after he was gone. They immediately turned to a mourning family and loved a group of strangers with amazing compassion. They did not rush us out our submit to us an exorbitant fee although that would have been justified considering the care they provided. Instead they prepared him for us to take home one last time with attention to every detail of how this would effect my family.

I have been in healthcare for nearly 30 years and have witnessed less decorum and kindness with people who have passed than what this amazing group did for us. There are not strong enough words to accurately convey my true gratitude for their efforts. If you are reading this seeking care for your own pet, stop reading and go now. There is in my humble opinion no place that can provide the love, expertise, skill, and compassion better than these people do.

We have other pets who sadly will one day force us down this same path. I will look to nobody else to entrust their care. My trust for this group is unconditional. At times, I was very impressed while other times, not so much. They provide an ambulance service, emergencies are taken in order by evaluation. Much like the people hospital we were there for 4 hours, and my dog was taken right in. I think most of the people in the waiting room were more concerned about how they were going to pay the bill and of course, the health of their pet. Thankfully, my dog had a very good outcome. A very clean pet hospital!

We have had to visit Upstate Vet four times over the course of the last 16 years and we have never received anything but exceptional service. Our animals are always treated with great care and we know they're in extremely capable, loving hands. I would recommend them to anyone in need of emergency vet services.

The staff were very friendly and respectful. The facility was very clean. My dog and I felt comfortable with everyone. Price was very reasonable for an emergency vet. We will use them again if the need ever arises.

This was my first experience having to use an emergency vet and I can't thank this practice enough for the understanding, patience, and attentiveness. They listened to my concerns, made me feel heard, called when they said they would call, and were very thorough in their explanations. I felt comfortable leaving my dog here and know he was in good hands.

I can not speak highly enough about Upstate Vet. I recently got a kitten (Goose) and I unfortunately had to visit Upstate Vet twice since getting him. While the situations were unfortunate, I can not be thankful enough for the way Goose and I were treated. The staff is AMAZING! They work diligently to make sure each and every pet is treated quickly.

All costs were very clearly communicated to me throughout each step they had to take. I did end up having to leave Goose overnight and the staff maintained constant contact with me and made sure I knew each and every update. Every single staff member I came in contact was considerate, caring, and extremely knowledgable. I can not thank everyone at Upstate vet enough. I HIGHLY recommend Upstate vet to anyone that needs care for their fur babies.

We are extremely impressed with the staff, the facility, and Dr. Allen. Rarely is there a business as "on their game" as Upstate Vet. From the initial referral, to my initial calls to set and confirm our appointment, to walking in the door, being greeted, meeting and conferring with Dr. Allen, the followup, and the dismissal from surgery were classic case PERFECTION! Great team effort! You told us what you would do, you did it, then you told us it was complete. People being of your word.

Emergency is in the name, and in the action, but not in the mannerisms. Calm, patient, caring are just a few words that describe the whole staff. 5 different people were involved with us, and even though it was late at night, they were all so nice and energetic and they were able to calm my nerves. The upstate vet staff don't just have my business, they have my respect and admiration.

We traveled from Charleston to Upstate Vet to take care of our Lab who had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. We went because it was the only place in SC that would be able to perform the necessary surgery and follow up radiation at the same location. We are so glad that we did. Dr Sampson and her team in neurology as well as all the rest of the staff are top notch, but to say they are merely excellent professionals would do them a disservice.

They treat your pet as if it was their own and go above and beyond to communicate and support you as well. We also had experience with their emergency staff who are terrific. Our outcome initially wasn't as hoped for, but these folks continued to believe and work with us to get our boy well. We are still on our journey, but we are so happy to be walking this path with the Upstate folks by our side.

We would like to thank Dr. Andrea Smith, the front desk staff and the vet techs for all of their knowledge, excellent care and very kind consideration that we received on behalf of our dog Arthur. They took wonderful care of our dog Leo and kept up informed on his surgery and the cost. They were very compassionate and skilled professionals. After a successful surgery he is home now and recovering. I am so grateful to them for their knowledge and expertise to help our precious fur baby!

Very caring staff. I had an emergency come up with my child while at the vet and they did not hesitate to send me to my child (human) while they helped my furchild. Very compassionate and understanding.

Expecting a consultation. Actual cost $889.35! Our dog threw up from being anxious so the Vet recommended a sedative. Next thing, they put him on oxygen after giving him a sedative, anesthesia and an IV and asked us for a legal release and to perform CPR and emergency surgery on his throat. We made the decision to take him from the VET. (against their recommendation) since he had been fine when we got there.

This visit was supposed to be a consult only to look at a tumor on his head. We left with him on a cart loaded into our car and minus almost $1,000.00. The next 24 hours at home was ugly, but he is back to normal. Would not wish this experience on anyone. This had been a referral from our normal vet to the "experts" at Upstate Vets in Greenville, South Carolina, to get a way ahead for his cancer on his head. We were overwhelmed, financially and emotionally, during this unfortunate and totally avoidable situation. Beware!

Everyone was very friendly and professional, wait time was a little long to be triaged, but in this day in time, it's expected. The vet was very informative and thorough. I feel that the prices are a little. higher than other emergency vets that I have gone to before, but again, it's the times we are living in. I will definitely return if needed. Communication is great and easy via text when you have to leave.

Wonderful, thorough, caring staff - every single one! A blessing they are open for urgent care when so many others have closed! I wish you had more locations and staff to make the triage process faster, I. totally understand why you don't. I am so thankful you are open because my cat would have died waiting til Monday! Yes this is an expensive vet, but they are worth it if you have emergency pet needs.

Their team is the best! They update step by step through the Vet and staff gets answers to all concerns and questions. My kitty stayed in hospital for about 60 hours, and they saved her. Thank you Upstate Vet!

Upstate Vet is wonderful. Very knowledgeable and kind. I appreciated how they clearly explained the course of treatment for the growth on my dog's eyebrow. I'm so thankful they know how to help my Max! I trust them with my precious pup completely.

We truly appreciated everyone's dedication and the very caring staff. We would probably have lost our kitty if not for Upstate. The entire staff communicated with us with compassion and empathy the entire time our kitty stayed, and it was obvious that they cared deeply about his well-being and recovery.
