The primary focus of attention for the doctors at our San Diego Equine and Small Animal Clinic is the animal. Each doctor has their own beliefs and philosophies as to why they chose this profession and lifestyle. Our clinic draws strength and confidence from this foundation of beliefs. Your visits are scheduled according to the nature of the visit, your availability, and the doctor's schedule to make sure you are seen in a timely manner. If you think you may be late for your appointment, please call the office, as we may need to reschedule so that you and your pet receives an appropriate amount of time with our doctors.
ECLAP strives to keep the knowledge base, skill level, and equipment up to date in order to. ECLAP offers sophisticated radiograph (X-Ray) capabilities with our Digital Radiograph machine. I've been taking my dogs here for years. The service and care by the doctors and staff are fantastic. The latest visit was a rescue German Shepherd with lots of anxiety. He was relaxed with them. The diagnosis was good and we were on our way. For what it's worth, the country setting of their location is quite nice as well.

There are no negatives that I would point out to anyone wanting to make an appointment. staff, techs, and of course, the drs are all great. Very knowledgeable and seem to truly love their jobs. a rarity in itself. You are not spending on unnecessary procedures like some places. and your animal won't stress over the experience. Just know you are in good hands! Thank you Dr Oman and Dr Bear!

My dog Sigmund for 10 years had never gone anywhere but here. He all of the sudden couldn't walk and cried all day and night in pain I begged them to please just look at him and help. Not just one time i called and called and begged and begged and they flat out refused. They were too busy Sigmund died in a strange place scared. Real bad experience

Absolutely INCREDIBLE staff. I had an emergency with my 1721 lb furball and got many who told me they were just not comfortable working with a camel. Although 3 hours away they opened their doors and were willing to help. Extremely grateful for the positive and "can do" attitude. Wish it was closer, I'd go to them for everything.

We took our pig, Bobbie, in for multiple reasons including hoof / tusk trim, x-rays and vaccines. He was treated with love and care and was put through absolutely NO stress while there. Dr. Blanche was new to us as he has never been seen by her but I was extremely pleased with her attitude and her willingness to make sure Bobbie was stress free and happy during a vet visit.
It is extremely hard to find a good vet for a beloved family pig. I will absolutely be coming back to see her (although hopefully there will be no need!). Thank you ECLAP team!

I have been going here for years and I have always loved the way they treated me and my family. This last visit I was not having a good week, Long story short I was being mean and giving attitude for no reason however the staff maintained there cool and still seen my animal and treated her with all the same love I come to expect from here. I am sorry for that and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. They are decently priced, loving and trustworthy everything I want in my pets doctor.

Dr Caitlin was amazing. She did a very thorough pre purchase exam for a horse I was looking and was very honest and transparent with her findings. She delivered the information in a way that was easy to understand and took her time answering all my questions. Additionally she made sure all the tests we were looking to run were completed same day, even though it meant staying into the evening to finish them. I had a fantastic experience with Dr Caitlin and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a vet.

These guys must think I run a professional foster care service for cats with how many different ones I've brought in the past few years. Regardless of who I bring, they are always very thorough and are open and interested in my pet's history and what I observe as the owner. All staff have been friendly and helpful and, as busy as they are, they do their best to be proactive about scheduling in a timely manner.
I see most complaints (though few) are about urgent care needs and I just don't see a fault on ECLAP here as the only solution would be adding more staff and an additional facility or expansion since pet sales have skyrocketed during COVID. I suppose they could turn clients away, but that doesn't seem to be in their nature. I would recommend having a separate urgent care vet on standby just in case. Honestly, I would prefer to be treated here myself instead of going to Kaiser!
