They are amazing - both Dr. Wells and Dr. Thomas, and their staff. They're so amazing that I wish they also treated cats - because I'd bring ALL of my pets here if I could. I'm so grateful for them treating my chickens and understanding that chickens are pets and members of my family - not just a barnyard animal that gets culled when they get sick.

We took our sick cockatiel in and it just so happened their X-ray machine broke, so they just treated him based on lab work. After 3 days with his health continuing to decline we made the decision to put him to sleep. Total cost $886.70. I have a difficult time seeing how they can charge this much for no more than was done. Does lab work, antibiotics and tube feedings really cost that much?

When I asked about what it would take to find out exactly what was going on, they said he'd need an X-ray, but it would take too much time out of their day to take him to another facility to get an X-ray, so my pet wasn't a priority. I just feel you shouldn't be operating a facility of this sort if you're not fully functioning with the necessary equipment and then charging these prices just because you can.

Great to have a Veteranarian that understands animals other than cats and dogs. Very knowledgeable. A small detail that might add a bit of comfort to clients and depth to the practice would be to send a sympathy card or even a paw print in clay or ink of the client's beloved pet when they pass at the office for whatever reason.

We love this vet! We took our bearded dragon here for the 1.5 years we had her while living in Monterey. They did our routine checkups, if we ever had any issues. Plus they have boarding. Highly recommend them for all your exotic pet needs.

I brought my rat, bear in today for an emergency visit. No exotic vets in my area (San Jose) had any availability but thankfully I was able to get an appointment with them. They were very accommodating, reasonably priced considering it was a same day appointment and fast. I'm new to rats and I'm glad I was able to get some advice and help with my baby boy.

First time here. I didn't know that there are Vets for reptiles. I have a Leopard Gecko, and he wasn't looking good. The procedure is to call upon arrival, staff will come out and have you fill out a page of information and they take your pet in. You wait outside and the doctor will call you to let you know she found. Didn't have to wait long and the cost was reasonable. I'm so glad I found you! So, Franky had his first wellness checkup.

I've been taking my two guinea pigs to this clinic since we adopted them in November. They did a great job on neutering (affordable, great care, and my guinea pig was back to his happy, active self in a couple days). They've also helped us with some minor infections. Highly recommend them for guinea pigs!

First time here and the staff is friendly and very informative! Our family pet rooster was seen here and given treatment. Due to the pandemic we had to wait in our car while our pet Rooster was being seen. Will definitely come again!

Dr. Amy Wells and her staff are the best. My previous veterinarian gave up on treating my rabbit. Dr. Wells gave my pet many months of quality life. When he finally passed away from old age, they sent a sympathy card that everyone in the office hand signed; how truly special.

Peewee had a great experience! That makes me very satisfied. Thank you so much to the staff for caring and being so careful with my very nervous bird. I will be bringing the rest of my exotics to Avian & Exotics
