Here, we treat pets like family. We understand how important your companion is to you - because they're there for you through the thick and thin of life, with a wagging tail or a happy purr, and unconditional love. Our goal is to be your partner in taking care of your pet's physical and mental wellbeing, so you can enjoy many happy years together.

Services
If your pal got into some mud, or just needs a freshening up for healthier, better-smelling hair and skin. This service includes an anal gland expression (for dogs), and a nail trim. Upon request, we can also use a medicated shampoo to help with seasonal allergies and itchiness. This service helps to prevent nail overgrowth, and aids in preventing scratches to both furniture and people.
Or, just need a place for your pal to hang out during the day sometimes, to stay out of trouble while you're at work? If you're looking for a safe place for your dog or cat to board, where they'll be treated well and have access to veterinary care, then you'll want to consider having them board with us.*
Does your pet have some bad habits, like jumping on guests, scratching up furniture, or peeing in the house? Note that for all behaviors in question, it's better to address them sooner rather than later - because once the behavior becomes a learned habit, it's harder to change. Here are some of the pet behaviors we get the most questions about here at Bee Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

Over the past seven years and before she passed, my beloved 13.5 year old dog, Abby, was treated like royalty by Dr. Tudin and his lovely staff. Dr. Tudin always treated and taken care of Abby as if she were one of his own pets and always with a gentle and genuine demeanor. The Sarasota community is extremely fortunate to have such a kind and caring animal doctor.

We love everyone at Bee Ridge Veterinary! Compassion, caring, professional are adjectives I would use to describe this clinic. We see both Dr. Tunin for our kitty. He's always so calm and caring. Other vets have her screaming.not Dr. Tunin. Our Cavalier King Charles has heart issues.thankful Dr. Sego discovered the issue and gave us a thorough consultation and addressed our concerns. He's doing great btw! The support staff couldn't be more helpful.even when they are busy they never make you feel rushed. Highly recommend Bee Ridge Vet!

Dr. Tudin is a Veterinarian who loves animals and genuinely cares. In fact the entire staff is excellent. We have been going to see him for years and are very satisfied! Our high energy Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier injured himself taking too big a jump and Dr. Tudin took him in quickly and got him back up and ready to go again! A++++++

Dr Tudin is FANTASTIC! We rescued our cat Captain, a 2 yr old male Siamese, last year and were told he was probably blind in his right eye & nothing could be done. Dr Tudin said he could remove the inner eyelid that was stuck to his right eyeball at a very reasonable price. The surgery went very well. Captain's eye looks normal now and he can see so we are thrilled!
The staff we have dealt with has been great too. Captain messed his crate so they bathed him & gave us a clean towel at no charge. Thank you all so much. I highly recommend Bee Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

I had a 12 year-old dog who Dr. Tudin treated for a couple of years. We also brought a puppy to Dr. Tudin. Lots of business! Dr. Tudin was always in a rush, disorganized and couldn't keep track of the dogs issues. Still, I didn't change vets as he didn't do anything wrong UNTIL, my 12 year-old got a UTI which turned out to be urethral cancer. Dr. Tudin referred me to a cancer specialist and I never heard from him again.
When I called the office to ask if I was going to hear from Dr. Tudin, the gal in the office said "Generally, once a dog has cancer, Dr. Tudin doesn't get involved." My old vet in NY (who was not getting more business from us because we moved), spent 45 minutes on the phone to discuss options and was extremely compassionate. After my dog died I did not return to Bee Ridge Veterinary and never heard from them. I came to Dr. Tudin because he was recommended by two friends, but I did not experience a vet who was interested in developing a relationship or knowing my dogs.

My dog, Bella, was seen by Dr. Tudin for years; I thought he was a very nice, competent vet, although always seemed very rushed. For years--over five-plus years-- I kept telling him that I thought something was wrong with Bella's left ear, as every time I put in cleansing drops, she would shake and cry. He would take a (very quick) look in her ear and say "it looks fine", or "it's just a little red, but looks OK".
My groomer kept expressing concern also. Then, a few months ago, the groomer told me that she could SEE a growth in Bella's ear. Again, I went back to Dr. Tudin who immediately suggested that he do surgery, and we scheduled it for the next week. My spouse was a bit alarmed and suggested that we do imaging first, as Dr. Tudin did not specialize in surgery; what if he couldn't handle what he found?
We spent thousands of dollars on an MRI and visits with various specialists. The tumor had grown to the point where it had filled the entire ear canal which was consequently removed by a veterinary surgeon. Certainly not something you would want a general vet doing. What would have happened if Dr. Tudin had gone in there? Would he close her up and say we needed to see a surgeon?
Try to remove her entire ear canal himself? Who knows. What I do know is that he did not LISTEN. He did not pursue something I complained about for years and then quickly suggested that he do surgery. In retrospect, it is obvious it was all about the money.move 'em in, move 'em out. My poor Bella (who is 13) is doing fine--but she experienced a tremendous amount of trauma as the surgery and its aftermath were not trivial to say the least. Dr. Tudin did Bella and my family a disservice. Stop. Listen. Care. We should all take that to heart.

I've gone here for 2 years now with my shih poo. The office staff is always extremely nice and helpful, they are flexible with appointment times and I find it convenient they are open on Saturdays. Today when i took my dog in to get a shot I asked why dogs sometimes vomit just randomly. when I mentioned I was asking because my dog had gotten sick on the way there the vet tech insisted on helping me clean it up.
After telling her she really didn't have to do that, I would gladly just take some paper towels and do it myself she insisted and followed me out. I purposely drive 30 mins out of my way to go here and will continue to do so!

Bo, our kitty companion of 18 years recently went over the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Tudin and his team were so compassionate and helpful, assisting Bo on his journey. Just a caring attitude, for both Bo and my wife and I. Then, two days later, we get a sympathy card. Blew us away. Bear and Murphy, our two Labradoodles get nothing but the best of care as well, and really seem to trust Dr. Tudin. Couldn't ask for better!

Dr. Tudin did a great job with my pup Stuart. He needed an extensive dental and had many bad teeth that had to be extracted. He explained the process when I went in for our pre visit, called during the procedure to let me know how Stuart was doing and what his treatment plan was, gave his recommendations, and asked permission to continue and when I came to pick him up Dr. Tudin went over everything.
He showed me which teeth he had pulled, and why, explained the medications he was sending Stuart home with etc. The prices are reasonable, the care they give is great. I am very thankful and Stuart is doing great now. He is feeling much better.

We are new to the area and tragically our dog and best friend became very ill. There was no choice but to put our "baby girl" to sleep. The staff (Kim) and Dr. Tubin were compassionate beyond description. I would like to thank these two individuals for their sincerity, empathy and love that they showed our dog, Maisie and my wife and I.

We have lived in Sarasota a year now and work with a mobile Vet Dr. Stephen Gottschalk who is affiliated with Bee Ridge Vet Clinic. We are able to pick up a special vet diet from this clinic about every 4-6 weeks. This diet is for a senior male cat in our household that is prone to urethral blockages. All of our cats eat this food and it seems to be good and helpful for ensuring the proper pH balance for their urine - thus helping to prevent sludge and blockages via crystals. Dr. Sego has been great with two of our five kitties that we have brought into her with more acute issues. Recently, we brough our senior cat "Rocco" who seems to have developed a seizure disorder in for bloodwork and an exam. Thorough bloodwork points to no known issues so it seems he could have a brain lesion.
We are treating Rocco supportively with a common anti-seizure medicine which seems to be the gold standard. Dr. Sego understood our desire to not go through a referral process to a neurologist for CSF and MRI or CT studies. Our desire is to provide support and comfort care along with quality of life. Given Rocco's age, the less stress. the better.
The Bee Ridge Clinic is a nice clinic. The staff are consistently very kind an extremely accommodating. I really appreciate them! Dr. Sego is a great vet, supportive, compassionate and no-nonsense. She also works alongside our mobile vet which I really appreciate. For us, a great experience.

When you get the post card in the mail that says they wash your dog as part of the checkup. No they don't! My poor dog I kept thinking damn you still stink? After about 3 times I gave all my dogs a bath and the water was pretty clean for my other two, the one that "has had more" than the others was absolutely fifthly! No wonder why he always stank after the vets? They do not bath them! Poor thing I thought they were using maybe a delicate soap. Nope no soap at all!

We moved to this area recently and went in for the first time with our dog last week. Wilbur haven't been to a vet in a while, so he needed all his shots, but we mainly took him in because he wasn't himself (would not eat for a whole day). The entire staff was nice and professional. Dr. Tudin was very caring of Wilbur, took time to listen to us, explained things to us with patience, and was expert at giving shots (hardly a sound from Wilbur).
The nurse was amazing- she provided comfort and sense of calm to Wilbur the entire time just by touch. I (Izzy) tend to worry and look for things to fix, so I appreciated the fact that Dr. Tudin was laid back and not into selling stuff/service that is not needed. Price was fair. For example- exam $58, Trifexis 6pk $96.
