Dr. J has been providing the best care to our furry babies for many years. Now with the addition of Dr. Tejas as well they have a good team that provided compassion and care for our elderly kitties and doggy until they passed this year. Dr. J is extremely knowledgeable in geriatric pet care. Melinda and Eva are the absolute best. We also loved Ashley who we hope to have back as Dr. Ashley by the time we are ready to open up to a new furry baby. Best vets in North Pinellas.

Service and Care has changed and not for the better. On more than one visit staff did not address issues that were planned during a visit requiring another trip and visit fee. I was told to bring my pet in first thing so they could take care of the issue that was not addressed during the initial visit it was over 3 hours before my pet was seen. The last service done was not done professionally, the Vet stuck a pin in and drained a cyst the area was not shaved cleaned, and there was no cauterizing or stitches, and the site of the cyst continued to bleed for hours after I picked my pet up. It is frustrating when a pet owner's time is not respected and the pet is not given through veterinary care. We're not returning to this practicefor my pet's care.

We are new to the area and are so pleased to have found a wonderful veterinary office. The doctor and staff were very helpful and calming for our anxious fur baby. Update: Unfortunately a large tumor was discovered in our puppy. We brought him in weekly for a month because of pain and weight loss, only after a month was an X-ray ordered and the mass was discovered. They sent us off to the emergency vet and never contacted us again to check on our puppy.

Beware! Had an appointment for my dog for Saturday, but due to his situation, I requested to be seen sooner. The unfriendly staff responded that he could be seen sooner, however a higher fee applies. Not the first time they asked us for a higher price, even though we are established patient with an appointment scheduled. So, instead of paying a regular exam fee of $55, they want to charge $68, "because they are doing us a favor".
In conclusion, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY PET owner going to this particular vet's office. Clearly, their agenda is making money, NOT THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF YOUR PET. BTW, I called 10 other vet offices, and NONE of them ask for a higher price, with an appointment scheduled. No worries, I don't need an apology or lame excuse from the owner, I found another doctor that actually cares about the pet, not office fees. Have a blessed day!

I bring 5 out of my 7 animals to Anclote. The only reason I don't bring the other 2 are because they're bearded dragons! The staff and doctors at Anclote are friendly, knowledgeable, and always treat us like family. I never feel pressured into tests and/or procedures that aren't needed and feel like they really listen to my concerns. We are Anclote patrons for life!

Recently I had the hard task of putting down my amazing dog Hutch that had been with me for 13 years. The staff was amazing and caring. He had been a patient there for only a year as we just recently moved but they were just as emotional as we were. They allowed us time to say goodbye while he was put in a peaceful resting state and even made a paw print for us to take with us to remember him by. They are amazing for so many reasons including their care of my cat and puppy but that day was hard and I'll never forget this hard day that they shared with us.

AAH was a real "life saver" for my cat Cyrus. Cyrus was run over by a car back in November 2017. When a different animal hospital quoted me around "1300 over the next few weeks" I agreed to save him because it was financially doable for me. When the bill later that day was 800, and each check up with medications etc was reaching 200-300 a visit, as well as the non stop care and feedings (feeding tube) was running me ragged week after week, I was then told one of his eyes needed to be removed for another 500+. Thankfully we found AAH.
Not only were they more financially flexible, kind, and welcoming; but they truly cared about Cyrus' fight for his life as well as my dedication to him. When your pet is hurt and you dont have the answers, it can be quite scary; but they never had a problem explaining each and every thing to me or even just reassuring me he would eventually be himself again.
They saved the eye from removal and even though he was blinded by the accident, 7 months later I can say I definitely have my big guy back. A huge thank you to Dr. Cochran and the AAH staff!
