Diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the brain, spinal cord, muscles and nerves of animals. Comprehensive surgical treatment for a wide range of soft tissue and orthopedic disorders. The vets at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group (VMSG) provide preventive and restorative pet dental health care and surgery for cats and dogs.
Currently, we are able to see urgent care cases Monday - Thursday 24/7 and Saturday & Sundays from 9:00am-5:30pm. Knowing what to expect at our emergency veterinary clinic will make the process easier for both you and your pet. In an emergency, we know you may not be able to contact us in advance, but if you can it's always best.

Have needed to take both my kitties here when they got extremely ill on a weekend. These vets did everything they could to get my kitties stabilized and started on therapy to recover. They gave me clear instructions for ongoing care and were extremely kind both to my animals and to me. Highly recommend them to anyone with a pet emergency.

This ER hospital was so wonderful with our dog and us. They were professional and caring and thoughtful. The doctor explained everything very clearly, and when I was checking out at the front desk, I had a question about what to do if our dog did not respond in the way we were hoping - the girl at the front desk got the doctor and the doctor came out and discussed that scenario and also wrote everything down for me as it was a lot to remember.
She took her time and didn't rush anything. She was amazing. It was the middle of the night when we left, and they were very kind and gave us a free can of special dog food so we could give our dog the medicine with the proper type of food. Just an all around great experience and our dog is happy and well again. Would highly recommend the Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Ventura.

My puppy got really sick out of nowhere and we rushed him to the ER on Sperry and Valentine but they directed us to this location which was just down the street. People there were attentive and treated my little dude great. They kept him a while for observations, but came home same day. Place was clean, more than enough parking and easily found. Following COVID guidelines.

Our sweet Mason had a health emergency after vet hours. We rushed him to VMSG. The staff and Dr. Peck were amazing! Kind, caring and informative. They keep us posted often during the ordeal. Mason was well cared for and sent home with clear and concise notes for his continued recovery. Thank you all for taking such good care of our baby! He has recovered nicely thanks to your excellent care!

I have no idea why the rating is 3.2. I have been here twice with end of life situations with 2 of my very much adored dogs. The Doctors and staff could not have been more patient, understanding and compassionate. The care and staff are superb. I would definitely recommend them. Thank you to the staff. I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation enough, your kindness will not be forgotten.

I was recommended here by Ohana pet hospital. My 7 year old woke up completely unable to walk in excruciating pain. We rushed here immediately and we're told we would get an assessment shortly. 3 hours later no assessment no one has even bothered to come look at my poor girl. They took in several other patience that were able to walk in and came to check in after us. First time here and honestly they did not even seem to care for my poor girl. Highly recommend taking your baby elsewhere in a case of an emergency.

I brought my little maltipoo to find a diagnosis in what was wrong with him. Everyone at VMSG was professional, kind and caring. Joseph Raleigh was the surgeon Teddi saw and he diagnosed Teddi. We got our answers we were looking for. Teddi received the best quality of care. I just want to thank everyone at VMSG. Thank you Dr. Raleigh! I highly recommend VMSG.
