I called 5 minutes before they closed for my dog Leopold who was having a medical emergency. What an amazing team of humans. They are so incredibly kind and helpful. I'm so grateful They waited until we got there and were able to see Leo promptly, and with some medication and instruction from Dr. Thomas Leo made a full recovery in just a few days. Rip Off! Spent $500 on blood lab work for my 2 dogs because I was told they need their teeth cleaned. Got a second opinion and neither dog need their teeth cleaned at this time! Complete money driven office! Plus the doctor is SUPER RUDEand unfriendly, can't imagine how he treats my dogs if he's rude to me! Done with this place.! It's the WORST!

Midtown Veterinary Clinic really went out of their way to help us. We found out that we needed a last minute vaccine to be able to board our pup. They fit us in at 545PM on a Friday night 15 minutes after we found out we needed the shot. They really helped us out! We appreciate the great service.

One morning our pocket beagle wasn't herself difficult walking would't eat and (she always likes to eat) we called our regular vet and they couldn't see her untill the following week. A friend recommended Midtown and they squeezed her in that day.! Dr Thomas was awesome he did an exame diagnosed the problem and prescribed some medication, the office staff where great friendly and helpful. Our beautiful Abrie is back to her hungry self.

My senior dog was having difficulty urinating suddenly and I was unable to get her in to any of my local vets for over a week out! I called Midtown this morning and they were so kind and helpful - they squeezed us in and were very compassionate and thoughtful with me. I was worried about this being an end of life problem and Dr. Thomas helped ease my mind and provided great instruction on how to keep her healthy and happy! Well worth the drive if you are no longer local - only vet I will go to now!

They saw my ginny that very same day I email a few places asking if they had drs that work with Ginny pigs! Upper respiratory infection he is on and I by Antibiotics now and seems to be doing much better, checking back in on monday! Thank you to this vet and the people working here!

Caring Hands, my usual go-to vet was filled up, so when my dog's eye was weeping and he was squinting I took my dog here. After paying the substantial fee my dog was returned home with drops. -0- improvement. My dog was taken back in, fee again paid, doc said "dog is fine". I e'mailed the clinic explaining that my dog's eye was still weeping, he was still squinting.

I asked why? No response. I phoned today, August 14. I reiterated the history. I told them that I did not want to have to pay -again- for a problem that has not been addressed. I had explained from the beginning that this very thing had happened a couple years back and that when original drops did not work he was then Rx'd another type of drop plus an ointment - which did the trick.

This must have not phased the doctor who simplify wanted me to come back in yet again and pay a third time, saying he would "just recheck" - which is what he had said the second time. This whole time my dog (a very intelligent Aussie) has been in irritated pain. I have had every kind of animal for decades, and if you are an animal lover, you know what I'm taking about when I say that you know when something is wrong with yours. I have vast and years of experience with veterinarians - I found this vet to be on the incompetent side and I will never go back here.

They were very thorogh in their examination of my dog and very good in explaining, making sure I understood what was going on. I didn't feel rushed. Kind doctor, very compassionate staff. They will be definitely my dog's veterinarian.

My first visit to Dr. Thomas was, honestly, the best vet experience I have ever had. He is caring, knowledgeable, and took the time to make sure I understood my cat's condition. I came to Midtown when my cat, Lilly, was having difficulty urinating. Dr. Thomas was extremely thorough in figuring out the cause. Even more impressive was his ability to walk me through the test results and how he came to his final diagnosis.

The bad news was my Lilly had crystals in her bladder. The good news was Dr. Thomas put Lilly on special food to see if that would eliminate the crystals instead of jumping right into surgery. After a month on special food, Lilly is crystal free! I am so grateful for Dr. Thomas' wonderful care!

I brought my dog in because she was sick and throwing up. I was freaking out and called the vet. They were able to get her in at 8:30am and we got in a room in under 5 minutes. Dr. Thomas calmed me down and told me it’s fine and asked me questions. He took a look at her and brought her to the back to give her antibiotics. She is doing so well now and I’m

We've taken every pet to Midtown since moving to Newbury Park in 1985. From the first day then to this week they are compassionate, friendly, kind, knowledeable, honest and work through what's best for your pet and you! Can't thank them enough for taking care of our extended family loves!

Our one year old dog needed surgery for patella luxation. Dr. Thomas performed the surgery for a price well under what vet hospitals in Ventura and the valley were going to charge. In fact, the procedure came out to be less than the lowest price described in the estimate. The surgery went great, recovery was easy, and everyone at the clinic was so helpful and caring throughout the process.

I needed to come back in to have her bandage re-wrapped (her cone came off one night and she chewed on the bandage) and the doctor did not charge for the visit. Many neighbors and friends use this clinic- I'm so glad we were referred! Both doctors are knowledgeable and you can trust you are in very good hands.

My 2 dogs have always had incredibly bad anxiety in other vet clinics. As we've been bringing them to Midtown for the past year, they have been noticeably more and more comfortable in a clinic setting. The front office staff always greets them and makes them feel welcomed, and are always down for a kiss or love from our fur babies. You can tell the employees in back genuinely care about the level of care given to the animals, and that Dr. Thomas has years of experience and knowledge and makes sure I understand and that I'm comfortable with any procedure necessary for the health of my pets. Very happy I started bringing my animals here.

We have a cat that lives outdoors and just comes to us for food. We love taking care of him. One morning, he came to us all battered, scratched, and with one eye barely open. We took him to this veterinarian, and got him cleaned up and neutered. They were so sweet to us and so kind about everything. Very reasonable pricing as well!

We were referred to Midtown by the Agoura Animal Shelter where we adopted Mr. Noodles this week! We loved Dr. Thomas and the staff right off the bat!! Debbie is great! We are very lucky that they could take us right away and the special attention that was given to us!!

We just moved from out of state and were absolutely thrilled to find such a knowledgeable and kind vet for our two small dogs. Dr. Thomas quickly diagnosed allergies in our little guy and had him feeling better within 24 hours! We brought them back a few days later for a teeth cleaning and are so happy with the results and special attention they gave our pups. Everyone was so nice and the office even called to check on them in the days following the cleaning. We are extremely happy with the fair prices and compassionate care.

Dr. Thomas is a very caring and compassionate man. He takes his time to explain everything to me which is very helpful. I have 6 dogs and have been taking them to this office for 2 years. So far it has been a great experience. The girls in the office, Judy, Jody and Debbie are the best! Love them all!

Have used them for over 30 years! Dr. Martin was a very caring, compassionate and wonderful veterinarian. Once he retired, it all went downhill fast. What use to be a warm and personal experience is more like a cattle drive, you feel like just a number. It seems the business is more about the money than it is about quality of care and the love of animals. Appointments are never on time, usually end up waiting 15 to 30 minutes past the appointment time only to be shuffled off into an examination room to wait yet once again. I paid for a slew of tests on one of my dogs, still have been waiting since March for a return call on the test results. I gave up and moved on.

I have been taking my pets to Midtown for over 20 years. The staff has always been gracious and kind throughout all of that time. Dr. Thomas cared for my 3 previous yorkies that passed from old age and is currently caring for my 3 current ones. They have always been upfront with what is going on and provide excellent care. If something required a specialist, they have always provided referrals. They also board although I am not sure if they are limited on the size of the dog. I would recommend this practice to anyone who needs a vet.
