The RIVMA is a vibrant and active community of veterinary professionals whose dedication to animal welfare reaches beyond their clinic walls. Partners for Healthy Pets and Veterinary Medical Association Executives have designed a suite of tools to help you implement forward booking for your practice! The RIVMA is committed to the health of all companion animals and offers a Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) for low-income pet owners and a series of Rabies Vaccine clinics each spring. The RIVMA Companion Animal Foundation (CAF) provides grants to low-income pet owners to help them care for sick and injured pets.

Today, the RIVMA has grown to a vibrant and active community of more than 200 veterinarians whose dedication to animal welfare reaches beyond their clinic walls. Low-cost rabies clinics that provide vaccines to more than 1,500 Rhode Island pets each year. A spay/neuter assistance program (SNAP) that offers low-income pet owners discounted rates on spay or neuter surgeries.
Medical marijuana products are toxic and of no clinical use. Having pets get "high" on these products is not only dangerous, but also considered animal cruelty. RI is making some changes to enhance our traceability capabilities. We will no longer print paper CVI forms for use by accredited veterinarians.
