Wellness Exams - Regular wellness exams help you keep your pet in tip-top condition year after year. Our Jackson veterinarian runs lab tests, examines your entire pet's exterior features, feels for suspicious lumps, weighs your pet and observes any abnormalities instance, gait or behavior. Vaccines - All pets need core vaccines against common killer germs, while some at-risk animals also need elective vaccines against other diseases. We can immunize your pet and provide periodic booster shots. Microchipping - We can inject a tiny microchip ID implant beneath your pet's skin.
Our facility includes a reception room with a spacious vaulted ceiling and partitions creating separate dog and cat waiting areas, two examination areas, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, radiographic imaging room and darkroom, treatment room with a pre-operative patient preparation area, and a modern surgical suite.
Dr. Lifsey is a native of Jackson, TN. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, Master of Science degree in Environmental Toxicology, and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Lifsey is a second generation Jackson veterinarian. His father, Dr. Ben Lifsey, Sr., retired in 1999 after providing the community with veterinary care at Lifsey Animal Clinic for 42 years.

Positive, professionalism, quality, reliability, responsiveness, wonderful, kind, and caring staff. They are always so helpful and accommodating. If I ever have questions, they take the time to explain until I fully understand. The doctors are kind and compassionate and you can tell their love for animals. They took great care of my fur baby.

I love this place! I moved to Jackson last year and was used to a huge vet practice with 5 doctors and so many techs. It's kind of hard to get proper care when a different doctor sees my dog every time. Dr. Lifsey takes such great care of my 2 dogs. Recently one of my dogs had a pain problem & when I brought my other dog in for a routine allergy shot, the vet tech had asked me when I checked in if my other dog was feeling any better.
I was so pleasantly surprised! It's very much a family feeling there with you and your animals, even though they still see so much clientele. They truly care. Love Dr. Lifsey and his two girls so much! And the office kitties

We are new to the Jackson area and Dr Ben was recommended to us by a friend. Dr. Ben and his staff were wonderful with our dog and he put us at ease quickly. We've never had a vet tell us that we could come back and talk to them while they were was with our fur baby. They needed to make a call to a former vet to get some records and give us some information and did so very quickly and got right back with us. We are very pleased with our new vet!

I am so happy I went to Dr Ben today. He has helped my dog immensely and is so caring and his assistant is adorable. He takes time to answer your questions and the atmosphere is quiet and calm. Very caring and my dog loved him. We used to go to his Dad and he is every bit as kind and professional as his Dad was. I would recommend him highly!

He's just the best all around. I used to work for a Vet. When I moved to Jackson we went to his Father who was also a Vet. It was there that Dr. Lifsey Jr. started practice. We've taken in many rescue/stray dogs and feral/stray cats and have tried half a dozen Vets over the last 23 years because they were so much closer, less expensive etc. but we always went back to Dr. Ben. He knows his stuff, he remembers your animals, and whatever more you might pay is worth his knowledge, treatment, and compassion for his clients.

Dr. Lifsey Jr and his staff are excellent. He has taken care of our boys (2 Jack Russells and a Beagle) for 4 years. One of our boys had to have knee surgery and he received great care and recovery was wonderful. He has had no issues since. His animal technician Jody is wonderful also. She is always organized and the boys love to see her. They always work with me on appointment times with my busy schedule.
His compassion for our 16 year old and for us was wonderful when he passed away. Dr. Lifsey and staff truly care about animals and their owners. We have lived in several areas of the southern U.S. and the prices are comparable and, if fact, a little lower. We would highly recommend University Parkway Animal Hospital.
