READ BEFORE CONSIDERING MAKING AN APPOINTMENT HERE Took 5 months to get this appointment and receptionist working on 3/24/22 in the afternoon was very rude. Practically threw the credit card machine at my mom when she was just trying to get clarification on the final bill. Two cats were taken in for an exam and one cat was not willing to get examined, but the vet still charged for the full exam and requested to reschedule my cats visit (& pay the full exam again), which is why I was trying to get clarification on the final bill.
There was no need for such hostility and aggression from the receptionist. Also, this is not the first time I have been to this vet which is why I am shocked and very upset with the behavior from this staff member. Highly recommend taking your pet to a place whose staff is friendly and more welcoming. Perhaps the front staff members should be replaced or better trained.

After moving from Los Angeles, I needed a new vet that would also do surgeries for both my dogs. This veterinarian practice seemed to be very professional and helpful. They're very nice people, and great with the dogs. They are on the more expensive side, and do not have many availabilities for surgeries or appointments in general. They do not have a board-certified surgeon.
They have a surgeon come in two days of the week only. They have caused us a lot of grief and emotional pain from their mistakes regarding a cancerous tumor in my dog. Dr. Miller told us our dog has a cancerous tumor and it needs to be operated on. We wanted to proceed immediately, but they did not have availability in the scheduling for a month. We asked to see the surgeon sooner, they declined.
We went ahead and did all of the preliminary testing as they required (bloodwork, anesthesia-compatibility, etc), just to find out a month later, on the day of surgery, that the surgeon did not feel comfortable performing the operation. Dr. Miller caused us to wait unnecessarily for a surgeon that could not help us. We had to make multiple visits for no reason because the tests will need to be repeated by the next surgeon.
She asked us to wait for a surgery scheduled a month away causing us to have to wait over another month now for a new appointment. We could have had a surgery that wasn't 3 months away if she was more competent in her diagnosis. I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Miller specifically. I will be finding a new vet company for the future. In summary, anyone who has any serious medical needs for their animal should avoid this place.
The surgeon is not board-certified and is rarely available. *I will edit my review with further updates - the surgeon tried helping us to find a new place to go, but the soonest appointment will not be until December, when the diagnosis for cancer was in September. Right now the dog is lying on my couch dazed after being prepped for surgery. I am extremely upset. They have apologized sincerely, but until I know how the situation unfolds I am very upset with Dr. Miller.

My dog had bad arthritis pain and could barely walk. I called asking for a pain relief or anti inflammatory to relieve my dog of pain. They said they needed to see my dog. I explained my dog could not go downstairs and he would scream in pain if you touch him. They did not care how much pain he was in they told me they would not prescribe medication unless they see him.
Do not go to this vet they are all about taking your money not helping your pet. I called another vet and they prescribed an anti inflammatory and my dogs arthritis is significantly better he can now go up and downstairs again. This vet has been giving us refills for over a year and not ever had to see my dog in person. This vet cares about me and my dog.
Even medication I was getting from some erset vet is cheaper at this other vet. I will never go back to somerset vet. Their hospitality sucks. They only care about getting your money

Somerset Veterinary Group is by far the most outstanding veterinary hospital around. I have been going there for many years and have always been impressed by the level of care and compassion shown my animals. This year, raising a cleft palate puppy, they have been there for us every step of the way. From the techs, to the office manager, to the fine doctors and excellent surgeon, we truly thank you for all your help and guidance. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for one that truly cares for their patients. Again, with gratitude from the Leitner Family.

I had a great experience with this vet. My cat needed some pretty rough mouth surgery and had a couple of teeth removed. She had a perfect surgery they gave me free samples of food to try for her and were very thorough in giving instructions and even checking on her a day or two later. I trust these vets completely with my animal specially if you have a dentist issue with your pet I would go here.
There great with dental work on animals. There prices are fairly reasonable they worked with me when they knew I'd have trouble paying and we got my cat the treatment she needed. Thank you somerset. She's doing great as you can see!

It took just over a month to get an appointment for our cat who was having tooth problems. We noticed he was drooling sometimes and had very bad breath, so we figured it was time to get him a dental exam. I was apprehensive about their new COVID procedures; you call them from the parking lot, they come get your pet, and the doctor calls you during the exam.
I would have preferred to be in the exam room with my cat, but they handled it well given the circumstances. We found out he had advanced periodontal disease and needed several teeth pulled, so we scheduled him for day surgery 2 weeks later. Our cat ended up having the vast majority of his teeth pulled and had numerous stitches and abscesses that had to drain.
The doctor gave us a call and did a great job explaining how everything went. They gave us pain meds to give him for 2 days, and everything else was administered by IV or injection. He recovered extremely quickly, and now has a much bigger appetite and significantly better breath. His quick recovery was no doubt due to the excellent job done by the staff. The entire experience was very expensive, but I never felt ripped off. Nothing seemed unnecessary, and the end result was a happy and healthy cat.

We got a kitten in September. In October I called to get a wellness check/vaccinations for her, and yes, the office is busy and they could not get us in till November. I understand, we weren't having an emergency. And then we did have a kitten emergency, and they quickly got her in on the day I called and took care of the problem. Everyone was very polite, explained what was going on, scheduled us for followups.
I am happy with them:) We also had a cat emergency in August (different cat, different problem) and were able to bring her in 3 times in 10 days. Again, the care we received was wonderful.

Noodle and I always love our time with the amazing staff at Somerset Vet Group. I have only ever worked with vets and vet techs that are beyond friendly and accommodating, and who clearly love their animal clients. We are moving a bit farther away soon, but will be making the trip to see Noodle's doctors and friends!
