Due to COVID you have to call when you arrive and they will come and let you in. While I'm surprised they're still doing this we did get in pretty quickly. We were able to go in with our dog and a mask was not required. We were expecting our dog would need x-rays and was expecting it was not going to be cheap. The vet examined her and did not feel x-rays were necessary.

He explained our options for treatment but never made us feel pressured. He listened to all of our questions and concerns and answered them. We did not feel rushed at any time. The next morning he personally called us with the blood test results. While a visit to a vet is not cheap. I feel their prices were in line with any other vet. If not, even a little less than I expected and to find a vet who does not do unnecessary treatment or diagnosis tests (x-rays) is amazing.

We were treated well but most importantly our dog was treated well. I would not hesitate to recommend them after the visit we had. They even scanned my dog's micro chip so they could enter it in their database in the event she is ever lost and they can help. This was done as their office practice. It was a great idea I had not even thought about.

It's been almost a year since I brought in my cat Griffin, and he's still going strong. He developed kidney failure after an infection from an abscess and Dr. Anderson walked me thorough my options and gave me details. I decided to have him hospitalized for a few days. We have been doing in-home treatments and he has improved from the initial "maybe a month left" to now continuing strong. Every day with him is a bonus, and I'm thankful for the continued care Valley View provides.

Brought my chameleon here. Got an X-ray, biopsy & injections to take home that aren't working! DRAINED my savings account to pay their insanely expensive bill with zero results. They never gave me prices for anything and BEWARE because they aren't transparent about this at all here. The only thing that is helping is the $1.49 baby food they told me to feed him.

If you have a reptile you're better off taking them elsewhere. The vet made a comment about my chameleons nails hurting her and that right there should have told me she didn't have experience with my type of pet. (Their nails take 2 mins to get use to and if she had experience with chameleons/ reptiles this wouldn't have even phased her) I cancelled his follow up appointment & will be taking him somewhere more reputable who doesn't just want my money. I drove 40 mins away and haven't been contacted not once to see how my chameleon is doing. Unprofessional.

Valley View pet hospital staff are awesome! They really care about your pets and how they are feeling. I had to put down my senior Boston terrier on Monday and the experience was better than I could have expected. They let me take time to say goodbye and let me be there the whole way through. I still have another senior dog who has a lot of medical issues and Dr. Anderson really cares about Gabbi and she treats each issue that comes up with her effectively. I highly recommend Valley View pet hospital.

Great place for Leopard Geckos! My poor girls had mouth rot, and this was one of the best reviewed exotic vets within a reasonable distance of me. I do have to call from my car when I get there, but they allowed me to come in with them and be there for the appointment! I can tell the vet knows how to handle leopard geckos well and is extremely knowledgeable and able to answer my many questions.

My girls are ALMOST fully recovered from their mouth rot thanks to this place! Reasonable prices and great service, just wish I could make appointments or view their medical history online.

I booked my bunny for a appointment and a nail trimming and they were able to get me in the very next day when others were booked for weeks! Very quick, polite, and nice workers through out the whole place. I highly recommend you to bring your animals here : They'll treat them with love like it's their own pet and very good pricing! For sure will be bringing my bunny back!

I have been going to this vet for a few years now, and I'm so grateful to have found them! I have brought almost all of my guinea pigs to these guys, mostly Dr. Anderson, and they have recieved amazing care. We even had a little guy named Morty who was diagnosed with an enlarged heart here when other vets were stumped, and he was able to be with us for much longer than we anticipated.

Not only that, but Dr. Anderson was great with him and was very patient if we had questions or concerns. All in all, I would reccommend this vet above all others I have been to, and I feel very secure in knowing that my remaining guinea pig will be in very good hands here!

These guys are the hardest working, most caring, ethical animal hospital that I know. Valley View pet hospital is the best in the biz. I have used their services for over 15 years, and I would never go anywhere else. Dr. Larry and his team - (Matt, Molly and Amy) always work so hard, are so dedicated, and very flexible. I love and appreciate you guys, so very much! Thank you so much for everything you do. I appreciate each any everyone of you!

Brought my ferret Henry in for his yearly vaccines and they were really great with him! He ended up having a reacting while we were waiting on our pizza in the parking lot (thankfully!) and even though they were closed they brought us both back in and helped him through his reaction, Dr. Anderson was amazing and i highly recommend them! definitely coming here for further visits!

Watch for hidden fees! I will start out by saying I have owned a business and understand the needs for communication when it comes to cancellations. I had only been to this facility once prior to drop off a deceased pet for a friend. They came out to my vehicle, I never went in, paid over the phone (covid). I then called them about a couple pets I was called to see if I would foster/rescue.

I needed one of them checked out right away. I set an appointment, we spoke about the issue, and she even said I understand the urgency so if you find something sooner just let us know. I said no problem. I did let them know, however they are claiming I did not. I then received a bill for $25 for a no show. I was shocked and confused. Not only did I let them know, I was never informed of this policy verbally or in writing.

I called to talk with them and explain my confusion. They were cold and rude and unprofessional. They also are very careful to not let you know who you are talking to so they can say "it wasn't me" I contacted an attorney, and yes I could fight it and i would be in the right. However she said it would cost more to do that and if I didn't then they have ridiculous added fees every month and if it goes to collections.

If it did that it could ruin your credit *by they way my credit is in the 800's, so yes I care a lot. The attorney said sorry, these are shady business practices and they are wrong. Decide for yourself. I cannot tell you anything about the care they give personally. I was told by a rescue I work with to reach out to them. I since let them know what happened and they have decided to stop referring or using them. Best of luck :) Hope your pets are well or get better soon.

I took several of my birds here that were not feeling well. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and even went over and beyond with my crazy request to do a video chat (I provided them a device to use) I saw Dr. Anderson and she talked me through all the steps I needed to do in order to get my birds back up to 100%. Following her instructions all my birds are feeling like themselves again!

They will definitely be my Avian vet of choice moving forward. Edit: upon using the vet, I was quite pleased with my service up until the most recent visit where it was handled very poorly. So poorly, that my five star review has been edited to a 4 star. These people have the expertise, but not always the customer service. They gave me false promises in a time of crisis and didn't follow through with them.

About a month ago we brought our chinchilla that had experienced some damage to her snout between her mouth and nose. It looked like it had split on one side and potentially needed stitches. We brought her in and got her back same day - the vet said it was some trauma on her lip and that the split was her "normal mouth function." We were given antibiotics and healing cream and nothing else.

The 10 day antibiotic regimen lasted about 6 days. After a few weeks, we noticed that there was a scab that grew in size again hanging off her lip, and we looked closer - her lip had split further and is infected as well as in her nose. None of the trauma has healed and likely should have been stitched from the beginning along with a cone to protect the wound since chinchilla's have lil grabbing paws: she continually paws at her open and highly festered wound.

A significant amount of additional treatment is now needed because there is NOW a risk of a super infection due to LACK of proper treatment in THE FIRST PLACE. Valley View Pet Hospital is grossly negligent and now our chinchilla is in serious trouble. I am attaching a photo of her lip currently AFTER WE SPENT TWENTY MINUTES cleaning the giant scab off and clearing out any topical visible infection. Clearly a new vet trip is in order. We are hopeful we do not lose our lil girl.

Can't believe it's been almost three years since my first review. I absolutely love this vet clinic. I've brought so many mice here, and the vets and techs are so good with them. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mouse vet. I also bring my cats here, and they normally hate going to the vet, but seem to like going here. I cannot say enough what a satisfied customer I am. I love this clinic.

This clinic was recommended and when my dog wasn't feeling well my wife brought her in on Tuesday to be checked. She was told by the vet that she was off on Wednesday but when the lab work came back on Wednesday it would be reviewed and if something serious was seen, we would be notified. -at 6pm on Tuesday we were called because there was an unidentified poop sample left and they wondered if it was from our dog -we weren't called until 9:30 on Thursday - we were told to go to an emergency vet right away.

The U of M was recommended -when I told the vet how angry I was that we hadn't been called on Wednesday as promised her reply was "duly noted" -no one called us later that day to check on our dog, nor reply to an email that we sent -if I could rate this clinic less than 1, I would.

I can't explain how well treated I felt and how well treated my bunny felt when stepping foot at Valley View. For all my Bunny parents in MN please don't waste your time going anywhere else. The staff here are very well trained with exotics, which includes Buns! It's so hard to find a place where they are truly trained with exotics but they really do take their time to insure your pet is getting quality care!

Not only do you get the best care here, but the price is right too! I won't go anywhere else but here! I'm someone who takes my animals health very serious, I am very opinionated, and I'm not easily pleased but when I say you will get the best care here. I mean it!

My bearded dragon, Coraline, is such a little brat. Which I love. She's adorable, chill, and cuddly but also gives me attitude and a hard time. Just like her mama (me)! This winter, she was barely eating and pooping, and I had tried everything. So I found Valley View on Yelp and was thrilled to see they specialize in caring for exotic pets! I walked in and was greeted by cute old kitties, a baby beardie, and some birds.

Can I move in tho? I saw Dr. Larry Tholl, who really seemed to know his stuff. He examined Coraline and gave me his insight, which was that she's just slowing down due to becoming fully grown + the never-ending winter. I felt confident in his wisdom and the whole appointment did not feel rushed. He gave me some tips and resources to take home. I've also dropped off her stool sample here, which is real easy to do. Just drop it off, pay, and they'll call you in a few days with results. I feel like my beardie is in good hands here for sure.

I have been bringing my pets to Valley View Pet Hospital for about 1 year. I have had 3 negative experiences in that year. 1. I had my dog boarded while on vacation. I made a special trip ahead of time to meet the person that would be taking care of my pup. When I came back I was told she gave my dog to someine else to take care of him -without my knowledge. 2.

I brought my dog in to be groomed. Yes he was a mess-furballs (he won't let me brush him.) That was on a Sat. The whole weekend he was not feeling well. I called Monday and was told I would get a phone call. Never did. Called again Tuesday and finally talked to Vet. I explained that my dog was not feeling well after the grooming. I was told, by the Vet.

She was too busy to see him until Friday (don'tforget this was Tuesday) i was also told to bring him in to urgent care because she was too busy. After discussions they let me bring him in. Don't forget, he was fine until he was groomed. He did hsve a fever and a bacteria infection. They finally gave him antibiotics and pain meds. Well the grooming cost $158 snd this office visit was an additional $162. 3.

I purchased a de-matter which I ask them to put in a bag. Carried bag to my car and when I Got home laid it down on my dresser. It leaked all over everything. The office manager basically said it was my fault and she would call company to see if I could get replacement. NEVER HEARD FROM HER! I Expained that I was not very happy and the office manager just screamed at me! I looked behind me and there was a client. I apologized to her. THIS WAS VERY UNPROFESIONAL. I actually went out to my car with tears in my eyes

I cannot speak highly enough about the veterinarians at Valley View Pet Hospital. Dr. Nalezny and Dr. Tholl are beyond knowledgable, comfortable, and experienced with reptiles, which is an extremely rare quality to find. Once you experience their quality of care and confidence, it is blatantly obvious when dealing with less experienced veterinarians.

From the moment they inquire about husbandry, you know they are the real deal. Dr. Nalezny went above and beyond to care for my bearded dragons and saved the life of one as a result of another clinic's negligence. I am a vet student and these doctors have shown me what to strive for. I will never entrust my dragons anywhere else.

(Copied from my google review) I brought my bearded dragon here on a recommendation from a friend. First time after she had laid eggs and had one broken inside of her. I dropped her off in the morning and they updated me with her condition in the afternoon, and I conferred with Dr. Tholl (the husband) when I went to pick her up. Exotic exams tend to be very expensive but I feel they charged a very fair rate compared to other exotic vets I've been to.

The 2nd time the same dragon was having hip problems. I had to take her in a couple times and talked with both Dr.'s. They were so incredibly helpful with suggestions and treatment options. The staff there is awesome too! Last time with a different dragon I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Nalezny, who actually happened to be on my short list of back-up vets in case for some reason I couldn't make it to Valley View!

She was wonderful as well, she definitely knows her stuff and I look forward to seeing her again for a follow-up. In short, great, friendly, knowledgeable staff, and great prices. I live in Brooklyn Park so it's a bit of a drive, but worth it!

I'm so excited I found this place! The staff were all super friendly and caring. They got my dog in last minute, and they didn't try to talk me into getting more tests done than what was necessary. I can't say enough to explain how pleased I am with this vet! Highly recommended!

We drive nearly an hour away so we can bring our birds and reptiles to Dr. Tholl. We haven't yet had his wife treat one of our pets, but given how knowledgeable and personable Dr. Tholl is, we have no doubt she is wonderful too. Dr. Tholl always spends a great deal of time with us, making sure to explain in detail what is wrong with our babies.

He goes out of his way to provide a safe/caring environment, along with giving them the best possible treatment. We simply couldn't ask for a better vet! Btw, our animals LOVE going here! They eat up the attention they get from everyone. Pretty sure they'd give this place a claws up!;
