I had an issue with my pet recently and was in need of a vet, I came to arnold pet station after my friend had raved about how great the vets are. I talked with Katie on the phone and she helped me with everything! She explained to me the issues going on with my dog to a T! Then she gave me options on how they could work with me. I went into an appointment not long after and she was spot on with everything.
The technicians were very friendly and Dr. Poerteus regimens had my dog back to normal the next day I still can't believe it. I am so thankful Katie was able to help me get in right away and help me understand what was going on so I didn't continue to freak out. I will definitely come back- hopefully only for healthy visits!

I took my dog there in December and I paid over 500.00.for blood work and test and fluids and left my baby with them all day. When I picked him up some 8 hrs later he was worse looking then when I dropped him off. I wasn't told what they thought was wrong or given any prognosis. I was told to go home and give my pet who has laid on their floor all day some antibiotics on an empty stomach.
After a few days giving antibiotics and Waiting for them to work my pet began acting worse so I took him to Croydon animal hospital and the vet there looked at Arnold's blood work and said he was in liver failure. I called Arnold pet station and asked for a refund and Dr Portious refused and said she stands by her treatment. Does that sound like someone who really cares about you and your pet? The next step is the DVM board.

We never had problems with Arnold Pet Station until this recent visit. Upon arriving, they took my dog back for routine things, such as a heart-worm test and bordetella. Like many, our dog is like our child. I was extremely upset that upon coming out I was told by the tech that he had reacted in a way that lead to his neck being bruised. From speaking with the tech, it seemed as if my dog had jumped off the table.
Which upon calling to clarify, they stated that he squirmed while the needle was in his neck for the heart worm test. Either way, this was definitely a communication issue from the business. If my dog was unable to be held by the techs, then I should have been informed so I could've helped to prevent this from ever happening. We have had our dog to numerous vets across different states, due to moving, and this has never once happened. I am very unimpressed with how they handled my dog and plan to seek out a different vet asap. Our dog's front half of his neck is bruised from this incident.

At the beginning of the month, our dog was sick and stopped eating. Arnold Pet Station refused to see her but instead referred us to a nearby emergency veterinarian clinic. It turned out she had cancer and had to be put down that same day. We did appreciate the staff reaching out with a sympathy card. However, I do wish the cancer diagnosis would have been made at our pet's last check-up just two months ago in September.

I cannot rave enough about Arnold Pet Station and their entire staff! From the very first email, to phone call, to visit, everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Our big dog is very nervous and has issues with fear aggression. Dr. Porteous was very sweet, knowledgeable, and did everything she could to make sure our baby felt safe and comfortable! We had such a great experience and are so happy to have found a place we love! THANK YOU AGAIN!

Wonderful staff and Vet care. by all. We had our Cocoa, Lhasa Apso cared for there ( lost her two years ago ) she was 16 ) (Black and White), and now our newest member of our household Kingston, also a Lhasa Apso, ( 2.5 now - Brown/Tan ) tended to by the staff. always a positive experience. We are thankful we have excellent Vet care right here in Arnold.

Thank you Arnold Pet Station staff and Dr. Lindsay! I can't say enough how welcoming our first visit was with you. This is a great location and our beloved Sonia certainly had the most comforting visit with you. barely an hour after her exam and tube removal she is already home sun bathing and purring off like she never went to the vet! We went with your pet plan and feel 100% relieved that we can have both our cats cared for here with this much ease. Thank you for being so awesome and welcoming and we look forward to visiting with the rest of the family!

I'm extremely unhappy with Arnold Pet Station. My cat had been a patient there for 18 years. She was having trouble walking the other day, and she was out of it. I called and they were like, we don't have anything till tomorrow. Have you ppl ever heard of an emergency? Where is the loyalty? Not only did they not fit my cat in, the front desk came across as if they could've cared less about my problem.
They gave me the phone number for the emergency 24 hour clinic, and that was basically it. I had to put my cat to sleep the morning after she was seen at the emergency clinic, AT THE EMERGENCY CLINIC. I would much rather have been in a familiar place with Dr. Carr, who is the only saving grace Arnold Pet Station has. If it wasn't for her, I would've left that practice a long time ago. I will NEVER recommend this office to anyone. I am so heartbroken and disappointed in their lack of compassion. Thanks for nothing APS.

This is the office that takes care of my four year old Chihuahua, Bam Bam. They take great care of him and Dr. Stern is a great vet. Despite moving 45 minutes away, I still take Bam Bam here for care since I trust them so much. They also offer boarding that is hear is good. All of the staff and techs are so friendly. Simply put, you will not go wrong taking your pets here.

Excellent and professional pet care! The scheduling of appointments is prompt, no sitting around with a nervous, frightened pet. Everyone, the front desk staff, the cat greeter (Miss McGee), the technicians, and the vets are friendly, helpful, concerned and informative. We recently had to put one of our cats to sleep and they couldn't have been more supportive. We've gone to Arnold Pet Station since 1997 and recommend them to everyone. They are the best!

We have been taking our dog to Arnold Pet Station for 10 years both for health care and for boarding. They have always been great. I read the other reviews posted here, and the negative ones make no sense to me. The prices may not be rock bottom but they aren't bad. And the care has been great. I get great service and they always listen to me.
Maybe the prices are different for walk-ins, I don't know. It is especially nice boarding our dog at her vet's office. We get checkups, baths, nail trims, etc., while she boards. And if there are any medical problems while boarding, the vet is right there.

We are very pleased with the boarding services offered at Arnold Pet Station. Our dog knows that when she jumps in the car, there is a high chance she is going to play with the friendly staff at Arnold Pet Station. The services there seem reasonably priced and it gives us a good feeling to know that they are taking good care of our dog - a very active 1 year old lab mix.
I will say you need to plan appropriately - they are closed on Sunday and after 2pm on Saturday so if you want to get away for a Friday night, you need to be home before 2pm or you won't see your dog until Monday morning. While they are cared for well during that time, you end up paying for three days when you really only wanted to get away overnight. However, the dog likes the vacation from the family and it is nice to not have to worry for a couple of days.
It would be great if they could open up for a few hours on Sundays to minimize the impact on pick ups. Again, we are very pleased with their services and highly recommend them.

We took our cats to Arnold Pet Station for 9 years. They took very good care of us throughout our cats' health problems (cats with asthma and allergies can get kind of tricky). On a couple of occasions when I called with a problem they had me go straight to the emergency clinic rather than to them, and in both cases it was the right call (they were good about calling over to the clinic while I was on my way). We've found them to be very caring and accommodating. We've boarded our cats with them (they're the only place we'd be comfortable leaving our cats) on occasion.
When I tell them I can't pill our cats, instead of just telling me oh, it'll be easy, the way some vets do, they explained that Cape Drug can compound the meds into tuna-flavored liquid, which is much easier to give! The front office staff is very on the ball about refilling medications and making appointments. The techs are really excellent, and in particular we appreciate Susan, who called over to the emergency clinic every day when our boy was getting treatment for kidney failure. Vets, techs, and staff are very caring and knowledgeable, and I rest easier knowing they did everything they could to give our cats a healthy life.

They took care of my dogs for 12 yrs. When my current dog had a fast growing, rock hard tumor, they took out less than the bare minimum and told me "Of course we couldn't get margins". I assumed it was incurable. Several months later I realized they didn't try excise enough tissue around the tumor. Maybe because I wouldn't fork over another 125 for unnecessary laser surgery.
I also paid for a pathology report, which was wrong. Chesapeake Veterinary Surgeons had no trouble getting "margins" (the tissue around the tumor) but it was a higher grade malignancy than the guess of the original pathologists. My dog is now dying from a lung metastasis that might have been prevented from an early or a proper excision. The owners' excuse is that Vet doesn't work here anymore and I wasn't consulted. Not true, she was the first to see the tumor and did not recommend surgery.
