We provide a smaller, homey atmosphere, caring for less than 20 dogs. This environment is great for dogs who otherwise might find a larger higher-energy daycare too stressful. Your dog's safety and well-being are our top priority. While at Daycare, they will be under constant supervision, both inside and outside.
Pet Massage is the manipulation of the skin and muscle for a therapeutic purpose. When done properly massage can greatly enhance your pets's life. We have seen results with just one massage. Owners tell us their dogs sleep more sound, eat better and walks are longer. Dogs that have been in pain start to play, stop limping and have gone up stairs when they were stuck on the first floor.
Dr Lefranc, Thank you for helping us out with the found Shih-Tzu yesterday. Here are a couple of pictures for your records. One is the condition I found him in and the other is after you cleaned him up. He is house broken and tries to stand up. He has great difficulty with his back legs but seems to muster the energy to pick himself up and take care of business.
The grand opening ribbon cutting event included family, employees and friends. Dr. Rene' Lefranc's clinic is a state of the art facility and offers many service not offered by all Animal Hospitals. Dr. Lefranc is also one of the only Bi-lingual Veterinarians in the Columbus/Phenix City area. At 2nd Avenue Animal Hospital we will offer the utmost in honesty, integrity, and compassion to provide our clients with the leading edge of medical technology. We will treat all pets as if they were our own with utmost devoted care.

If I could leave a ZERO star I would. Had a terrible experIence at 2nd avenue. Dr. Harris is argumentative and not compassionate about animals or her job. Seems very unhappy and always in a rush. It's sad to see the vet decline since the previous owner and Dr. left town. The Service and quality of care and response and follow up are non existent. I'm am beyond thrilled to be moving all 3 of my pets to a new vet! I would never recommend 2nd avenue vet to anyone.

I have been a customer from at least 10 years. But I believe it is now time to move my business. I am a small business owner too but how can this place be in business without having to be responsive. I had a Dr email me after calling to freak me out about some blood work 4 months ago regarding a treatment plan for my dog. I have tried for 4 mos to get in touch with her but she still hasn't responded.
No one is that short staffed or that busy. We cannot get this practice on the phone nor respond to text message. Real story, the last time they responded to a text message inquiring about our dog, she was already dead and it was their office who put her down. I would not recommend this office to anyone who wants reliable and prompt care for his or hers animals.
They will never get another dime of my money! It is shame this practice has gone so far downhill. Also their front end staff are probably the most rude and unprofessional people have ever dealt with in customer service.

I called this office at first, asking if they take in stray kittens and re-home them after giving them the medical care that they may need. Less than 2 hours later, I called back after deciding to give the kitten a home myself. After quite a few back and forth calls and my MANY questions, our new kitten had a same day appointment to see Dr. Clark.
The ladies at the front who took all of my calls showed compassion and care towards the animal in question and were beyond patient with me. Everyone in this office is caring, compassionate about animals and are willing to help you in any way possible with your babies. Our new kitten, Andi, is now on her road to recovery thanks to the love and treatment provided by Dr. Clark and the level of care provided by the rest of the staff.

We arrived a few minutes early thinking there would be a wait. As soon as we walked in we were greeted an asked to fill out a new patient form. Before we could complete the form, a staff member asked a quick question for the reason for our visit. Too our surprise we were called back at the appointed time and greeted by a vet tech. From that point on everything went smoothly.
