This dog is the love of my life! His name is Brutus. This Dr doesn't care about the health and well-being of my dog simply because I am a black woman. Plain and simple Dr Carolyn Hurley and her staff would rather let my dog died than to face me. No black staff terrible customer service. Brutus has seizures, I pulled up so that the staff would come to my car and help him.
They do have a note on their office door that's very easy to miss, the note says call when you arrive. However never had I had to do that before they always just came to the car's and picked up the dogs. So at that time I simply missed it. I watched them go to different cars but didn't come to my car. Finally I did call and I said Brutus is having seizure's and needs help.
The aid said rudely "well you didn't call so you just have to make another appointment " I furious, frightened for Brutus and needless to say extremely upset. But I refused to let them run me away. They wanted me to say I was never coming back. I gave the aid a good piece of my mind. I'm not curser, as they expected and agreed to bring Brutus back that day.
When I returned the aide was so rude and nasty and because she knew I was upset she heard me speaking to my coworker on my car phone. I told my friend after she took Brutus that I could slap her face she was so nasty. Tree months later Brutus needed help he was Sick and instead of addressing me three months prior( the day of the incident)to say we don't want you to come back anymore. Dr Hurley should have respected me enough to here or asked me what happened and how I was feeling that day She didn't care about Brutus that assistant gave them a story and because I'm a black woman I was considered dangerous.
Not once speaking to me, getting my side of the story they waited until Brutus needed help, because I intimidated that medical aide, not the Dr Hurley, she took her word for a misunderstanding and my BRUTUS didn't matter to Dr Hurley. I cried so hard because it was because of me and the color of my skin that Dr Hurley made a decision to let him die.

Terrible customer service. Phoned in to ask a simple question, would have even paid an office visit in regards to constipation. The lady who answered was rude and ended the convo with "maybe we aren't the vet for you! " we've also been taking my dog there for 10 plus years. Let's say we immediately found another vet. Ive never seen the same vet twice, and I can say they are on the pricey side. Highly don't recommend.

We have been taking our 11 year old dog to the Animal Hospital for most of her life. They are decent for annual check ups if nothing is wrong. When ever we have had any real issues we head to Northside. We will no longer be using The Animal Hospital for anything anymore Recently, our dog had emergency surgery at MedVets for a twisted stomach (GDV).
We caught it very early and had no complications. She was discharged 1 day later with meds and a few cone options. They said to take it easy and follow up with our vet should we have an concerns, they sent them her paperwork. Maybe 5 days into our dogs recovery, she was no longer eating or drinking and had not had a bowel movement. We were concerned that the fentanyl patch on her back was causing her to be constipated.
I called the Animal Hospital and asked if she could be seen. I was told that they would not see her because of the recent surgery and they never received any paper work from MedVets. I told who ever answered the phone that MedVets said we could follow up with our vet and im sure they could easily be reached since they are 24/7 for medical records.
We were told they could not help us and to go back to MedVets. I told them after the surgery, I didn't have $500 for a MedVets visit and just needed help from my dogs vet. They said sorry. i asked how they could be so unhelpful and they replied, "maybe we aren't the vet for you." I hung up the phone and called Northside. I was connected with a Tech right away and explained our circumstance.
They talked to an actual vet and suggested over the counter MiraLax in an appropriate dosage and if that didn't help, to call the next day and they could get us in. Northside for the win. A few hours later all was well. The next day the fentanyl patch came off and she was back to her normal self! Animal Hospital might be fine for blood work or insignificant concerns, but at the end of they day, THEY MAY NOT BE THE VET FOR YOU when it counts.

Do not bring your animals here! 2 weeks ago, I paid $150 just for the visit, which I Had no problem doing, then $150 for X-rays! My dog was not acting her usual self, she was just laying around not getting up, not eating and not really drinking water or anything, she also was having issues about her leg. They clearly did not listen to me or didn't care either listen.
All they did was take an x-ray and gave her antibiotics for her leg, what about her not feeling good? A dog not eating is a red flag! A dog not drinking water is a red flag! They just completely over looked it! Then they called me so I called them back for 4 days straight, the "system was down" and they would "call me when it was back up" I never got a call back!
They clearly do not care about the animals at all! Now, she is back at her vet, staying over night with a possible uterus infection that could have been caught weekend ago, if they would have just listened to me and taken blood work or actually did something about her not feeling well, I will never recommend here or take my fur babies here EVER again!

I adopted my pup Jada from the Clark County Dog Shelter and had her spayed here about a year or so ago and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a vet clinic! The staff treated my pup as their own and even told me she was a pocket pittie! I didn’t believe them at the time however they was correct! I never had any issues with aftercare and I don’t believe 5 stars is enough for this great staff! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you so much! Keep up the great work!

Where can I start?! I can't possibly say enough great things about these people. They truly care. One of my boys was ill and I was really scared and worried. Our regular Vet wouldn't squeeze him in today and possibly not tomorrow either. We called Springfield Animal Hospital and they got him in right away. They took great care of him and the Doctor called me herself to discuss his health and meds. I cannot thank them enough. You cannot go wrong taking your pets to them. We are just so impressed and grateful!

I can not stress to you enough how wonderful this entire staff is! My dog Roxy is a pound dog. When we got her over 8yrs ago she was abused and abandoned. She is afraid of every one and because she is a boxer, lab, chow and pit mix, her bark is loud and scary. But the entire staff at Springfield Animal Hospital are very patience with her and they do everything in their will power to make sure she and my family are calm and safe. I wouldn't take my pet anywhere else!!!
