Gilroy Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local specialists when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: If your pet is sick, in pain, not feeling good, or has reproductive problems, Dr. Harrigan and Dr. Martinez and their staff will do their best to figure out the problem, relieve the pain and suffering, or help with breeding or delivery problems and questions. Surgical Services: Dr. Harrigan and Dr. Martinez have over 25 years of experience doing a wide variety of surgical procedures.
I have lived in Gilroy and been caring for animals at Gilroy Veterinary Hospital for the past 32 years. My wife, Renee, and I have enjoyed a rich community life, being involved with the Gilroy Garlic Festival, teaching art and science at elementary schools and in the community, along with volunteering for several local clubs and non-profits.

Both vets are rude, lies and then after I was told one price they wanted to bill me several hundred dollars more than first agreed on for helping a stray cat that I bought in for a sore foot. On our personal cat I was charged around 1,700 hundred for shots after we rescued her from the pound. I'll never go back. All should stay clear of this money pit.

Took my dog to get spayed a few years ago and it was insanely expensive and when I noticed my dog incision was extremely swollen, red and hard I called and no one answered. Being the concerned pet parent and unaware if this was normal i went to their office and the staff was not helpful at all, she had no knowledge and couldn't answer any of my basic questions and didn't know how to help, when she asked the vet all he said was "it's fine" and didn't bother quickly looking at her! CARELESS. Took her to San Martin VCA and they're amazing!

These guys are fabulous! They have seen us through two dogs lives and now two cats. They are always very caring, compassionate and don't try to sell you on services/products you don't need. I have referred several people here and they all love them. I drive from San Jose and it's absolutely worth it. Thank you Gilroy Veterinary!

We have been bringing our dogs here for 8 years. The doctors (Harrigan, Martinez, and now Hoyt) always treat our dogs like they are the favorites. Very caring; very professional; very thorough. Their vet techs are awesome with the dogs: so caring and considerate. Their staff is friendly and helpful also. We take our personal dogs here (3) and would never consider going anywhere else.
We also foster for a rescue and have probably taken around 20 dogs in for evaluations. They know they will only see these dogs once or twice and that we will only have them for a short time, yet they treat every one of them with caring and tenderness.
