Very friendly staff who takes the time to get to know your animal. I've never had to wait for more than a few minutes and have brought both my dogs here for years. Very thorough without doing a lot of unnecessary tests. I highly recommend you give this place a try for your animal's sake. You won't regret it. I recommend this place to everyone! The staff is always friendly.

Both of my dogs are very anxious dogs and freak out when they go to the vet, but they have always been very patient and helpful. I just recently moved to Hollister and I still make the trip to Morgan Hill for their quality care!
Services
South County Animal Hospital provides complete medical, surgical and dental services for dogs and cats in Morgan Hill and the surrounding area. Our singular goal is to provide compassionate medicine of the highest quality. We believe every patient is special and unique, deserving of individualized medical care.
Our wellness protocols are designed to prevent disease and prolong the lives and life quality of your pets. As soon as you welcome a new pet into your home, you should consider preventative care to protect their health. For puppies and kittens, we recommend beginning a vaccination series between six and eight weeks of age.
We take the time to listen to your individual pet's needs and we offer advice on the best time for spay or neuter surgery. Some breeds and types of pets should receive the procedure after they reach reproductive maturity. In others, the benefits greatly outweigh any drawbacks, and we'll recommend they get spayed or neutered before they reach sexual maturity.
Depending on your pet's age and vaccination history, your veterinarian might recommend a custom vaccination plan. Pet vaccinations are important for all dogs and cats; even the ones that remain indoors most, if not all, of the time because they could still catch an airborne virus from outside at potty time or through an open window or door screen.

Even tho it was at a horrible time in any pet owners life to put down their pets. They did it with such compassion and care. Thank you to the Dr. And Nurses who Stand next to us as we face this loss. And would be continuing to bring my pets.

Fantastic experience. Dr. Rick was courteous, gentle, honest, and pleasant to talk to. I don't live in the area but it's worth the drive for me.

No reflection on their service, just that appointments are over a month out which is the issue with just about every animal hospital I called. Some won't even take appointments.

My animals have been clients of South County for almost twenty years, and I've grown to love every doctor, vet technician and front desk/customer service person. My life has been blessed because of their love, care and professionalism as they minister to my animals. Two of my animal family, Miss Kitty I (tabby), and Seamus (Jack Russell/Dachshund) are no longer on earth, but they received the very best care before their departure from mortality. Dr Dani helped Seamus live the last six months of his earth life under the very best of circumstances.

Miss Kitty I and Seamus were able to pass away in my arms. I now have two small rescued canines, Zucca and Pappilon, a rescued kitty, Miss Kitty II (she came with the same name as my previous cat, I just added II), and a rescued rabbit, Esperenca. Dr Dani recently helped to save Zucca from a serious challenge with his liver, even consulting with a specialist from a different vet hospital to bring more expertise to improve Zucca's chance for recovery.

I love this place, because they have truly shown love for my animals and for me, always mindful of my input into treatment and careful with my budget. Love, trust, and professionalism; that sums it up!

Just took my newly adopted dog for a first checkup. I am seriously impressed by the staff of the South County Animal Hospital: From the first call to make an appointment, through the actual exam and the recommendations, I found the staff and doctor to be friendly, patient and caring. My dog does have trust issues and Dr Dani Fusco took a lot of time, feeding him treats and petting him to build rapport. Overall a very pleasing experience. Strongly recommended!

We absolutely love this vet, especially Dr Rick. We move every couple of years for work so we've had vets in 7 different cities over the years and this place is absolutely top tier. Really great with our dogs (and late cat). One thing we love is that Dr Rick doesn't just look for the maximum he can do (as in, chasing $$), he candidly discusses what is appropriate and reasonable care for the age and condition of the animal and looks out for the owner's needs as well. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Dr. Rick and his team are just amazing! You can tell when someone loves their job, and they definitely do! They each showed sincere interest in my pet and thanks to them, my puppy is happy and healthy. I'm so glad I took her there. I would definitely recommend to anyone!
