Services
After earning his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University, Dr. Paul Wade founded a hospital in Littleton, Massachusetts, dedicated to the treatment of small animals, cats, dogs and exotic pets. After nearly fifteen years at the helm of the hospital, he and his wife sold their business and moved to northern Maine.
That's why we place such a strong emphasis on routine wellness and preventative care - and why you'll find that our excellent care of your kitty is also extremely affordable. Regular visits with us (typically once or twice a year, depending on age) allow our feline veterinarians to monitor your cat's health, and to practice preventative measures to protect kitty against health risks.
We understand: When you go away on vacation, you want to be able to relax, knowing that your beloved cats are comfortable and well-cared for. What better place than the private boarding suites at The Cat's Inn here at The Cat Hospital of Maine? Designed by our own Dr. Paul Wade, each spectacular kitty "townhouse" boasts a multiple levels for exercise, glass doors (no cages or bars for your baby!), and lovely natural light. The townhouses also feature lovely glass goblets for kitty's food and water, as well as a plush hand-turned four-poster bed.
At The Cat Hospital of Maine, we have an entire team of caring, dedicated veterinary technicians and office assistants who have years of service in the veterinary field. When you arrive, you'll be greeted warmly by our front office staff who will check you in, and then one of our vet techs will bring you and kitty to the exam room.

I've brought my many cats here for 9+ years & they've always given the best level of care & insight I've ever seen at any vet's office. Seriously, don't bring your cats anywhere else.

I am SO impressed with The Cat Hospital! Being new to the area, I was so nervous to take my best friend to a new vet, especially during the pandemic when I couldn't go in with her. The Cat Hospital was so professional and knowledgable. After speaking with them over the phone and meeting them in person, I knew my cat was in good hands. Not only are they extremely knowledgable, they also keep their prices 100% affordable and accessible.

Big thank you to the whole team for keeping my cat comfortable and healthy during her teeth scaling. I am so happy that I found The Cat Hospital! If you are considering a new vet for your feline friend, I highly HIGHLY recommend. Thank you!

My rescue cat was spayed and given 2 shots. The Cat Hospital was gracious to accept a voucher with a small copayment for services. The vet really examined Delilah and caught several things not mentioned by a different place 3 weeks before, when she was new to me. It's difficult during COVID to just send in your furbaby and not SEE everything. I feel confident Delilah received great care and will continue to bring her to The Cat Hospital.

I brought my kitty Pearl in to the cat hospital yesterday to be spayed & wow I am impressed. They are handling Covid the right way! They came right out to my car to get her, I filled my paperwork out and left it on the front steps for them to grab. They called to let me know how surgery went and the after care instructions. Upon pick up I payed with my card through the phone and they brought her back out to me.

I am so happy I gave them a try because now they will be the only place I bring both of my cats too! You can trust these people 100% with your cats. Pearl is doing great today and healing wonderfully! Can't thank them enough for providing a safe environment for the cats. A good vet is hard to come by nowadays!

We bring our ferrets to the cat hospital. All of the staff is friendly and very helpful. We get our ferrets implants done here as well as all of their other medical needs. Dr. Elms is amazing! She is compassionate, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She always goes the extra mile to make sure our babies have the best and up to date care. This is extremely important to us as ferrets have many health issues and having a vet that you know you can count on is priceless! If you want a vet who cares about your animals as much as you do then Dr Robin Elms is the vet for you!

Clean, friendly and very knowledgeable staff. They even gave me a referral to an at-home Veterinary clinician that came right to my home and administered all of my Veterinary needs right in the privacy of my own home including unfortunately euthanizing my cat in a quiet calm non clinical setting which is what our family was seeking. She also brought the cat with her when she left so that the cremation was simple and the remains were sent directly to our home.

My cat was injured and my bearded dragon was sick and dying. I brought them in at the same time even tho I was new patient. sadly we put my beardie down. I cried and was very upset the vet co.forted me and told me it wasnt my fault and that she would not have put him down if he had a chance. U fortunately she was right, he was too far gone due to negligence of other vets I tried before here. and my cat had been impaled outside and needed an emergency surgery.

The bill was going to be high say the least. They really took their time with me. They worked with me and helped my cat. They care more about the animals unlike other vets. Most vets I've encountered care more about money then the animals, NOT THE CAT HOSPITAL. They care about the aninals, genuinely. Of course they need to be paid because they are working and offering a service. and using supplies that cost $. So.im very grateful, they really helped me.

My cat is doing great, just got back from a re check appt. The vet also takes the time to do extra stuff. like clean his teeth while he was under getting g surgery and brush out his fur. so she really gives a sh*t I believe her name might be Robyn? And all the vet techs are pleasant as well. I love this place and will be using them for all my cats and exotics. Thank you to the cat hospital.
