Absolutely terrible. Brought my dog in after calling and asking if they could see my dog a d give me a couple days supply of his epilepsy meds because I ran out early. They said yes. I asked how long it would take they asked me to hold on and they connected me to an actual veterinarian. The veterinarian said because she had to see my dog in person in order to legally prescribe the medication, she'd just need a couple minutes with him to check his vitals and weight and such and then would be more than willing to give me a script for him to hold us over for a few days until he had his regular appointment.
They took him back within minutes after we arrived but then hours passed and nothing. I asked three times for an update and constantly apologized for interrupting them but explained the phone conversation I had twice while asking for a status update. Twice I was told I'd receive an update shortly. The third time I asked I was getting impatient only because of the complete and utter lack of communication.
The nurse saw I was agitated and said "well your dog is stable and we have 3 critical cases ahead of you." I said to her they'll always have a critical case because it was an emergency room. Did that mean it could be hours or minutes? She said she did not know. I said I could not wait for hours as I already waited 2 and had my daughter with me. She said I was being insensitive and if I had nothing nice to say keep my voice down.
I never raised my voice though. She was purposefully embarrassing me and said then I should just go home. So I said ok and she got my dog from the back, gave him back to me and turned away. It was the most humiliating experience I've ever had with a business regarding customer service. If my dog has a seizure tonight God forbid I'll never forgive myself for bringing him there.

Came in with a dog in distress on a holiday weekend. The first doctor was helpful and understanding and the next day, he was no longer with the practice. New Doctors came in with no regard to what we spoke about with the first doctor. Tests were run that didn't need to be run causing our dog more suffering. We ended up having to put him down and the practice withheld his paw print because a balance existing on our account.
A balance of tests we asked them NOT to do. This practice doesn't care about your pet, they just care about making money. The communication between staff is terrible. We would have been better off not bringing our pet anywhere than to bring him here.

Checked in with a vet tech at midnight and proceeded to wait for nearly two hours before being helped. Watched as the receptionist Cindy checked in and immediately got two other dogs taken care of. When I asked her to explain the rationale as to why the other families were being seen while we have been patiently waiting with our sick dog for hours, she said "the doctor chooses who to see first." If I hadn't asked her to explain to me why it took two hours, it would've taken much longer to be seen. Terribly managed establishment and literally would have gone anywhere else if a place was open. If you love your pet, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE.

Dr Harris was amazing from the start. He was nice, honest and realized my financial situation. He took care of our Chia's broken tooth. We were there super late the first night when it was broken He explained that they didn't extract teeth, but it was so loose that he might be able to grab it. He wanted to see if she could eat with the antibiotics and pain meds and if not to come back within 24 hrs to avoid the $185 visit fee again 5 pm the next day she couldn't eat because it was too painful for her, we brought her back. She was sedated and he was able to grab the tooth and the root. We can't thank you enough Dr Harris for the love that you showed our girl. She's doing 150% better

A wonderful caring place to bring your pet or any animal. I brought a feral cat that was injured and animal control could not help during the night. They treated both myself and this poor cat with the same care and dignity as long time patients even though this was my first visit ever. Each person I dealt with was kind and considered to the utmost degree. Beyond professionalism, just wonderful people, all of them from reception to tech to doctor. I am grateful for the help they provided.

Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience here. Our puppy was very sick and very few people there seemed to care. We called multiple times throughout the day to request a call back from the neurologist, and then during our last request, found out she left for the day. So we had to bring our puppy in. The emergency doc was very nice, and filled us in that her lab work had resulted and she had a fatal disease.
The neurologist left for the day without telling us that. We were told to take the puppy home, and the neurologist would call us first thing in the AM. The next day we called at 830 and then 1030 and then 1230 because we were told she had a fatal disease and may have to put her down. We made reception aware of this and aware that our dog was crying in pain.
We were told the neurologist will not call back until night time. Considering they are a vet, they don't seem to care about the animals. I am an ICU RN who has also worked short staffed during a pandemic, and I can't imagine not calling my patients families back, the way that they were able to blatantly ignore us. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but they seem to have gone out of their way to prove how little the dog meant to them so I would definitely be weary if you plan on taking your animal here.

All who work there are kind and efficient. They are always busy - but run like a well oiled machine. They listen - and understand that all families are different. Our dog is being treated for autoimmune disease which caused paralysis in her hind legs. (She was walking again 4 short days - but requires long-term treatment). This was a check up to her last appointment.
I got to go in with "Stormy" (first time ever) the doctor was great with Stormy, gave me the facts of her situation and options for treatment. The reality is her condition warrants a very expensive medication that she needs to take for about 2 years. We cannot afford it outright - so we have to do some research and make some hard decisions. The doctor understood and was very supportive of us finding a solution that helps Stormy and doesn't put us in debt. The truth is being a great vet and a great facility doesn't always mean a happy ending, but they sure do try to help make dreams.come true.

Our 8.5 male bull mastiff/ cane corso was diagnosed with b cell lymphoma at the end of June. we were completely devastated he our baby and he is our world. Dr Scavelli was highly recommended to me by a friend who had used him for a surgical procedure for his dog. I took a chance and called it was the Friday before 4th of July weekend. Luckily I had an angel named Jackie who answered the phone.
She heard how incredibly upset I was and she managed to get us an appointment July 5th time was of the essence. The first appointment was with Dr Scavelli he was intelligent, very nice and direct. which we appreciated bc his daddy and I are both r.n 's. He told us Maison would be able to start chemo that day after a thorough examination of his lymph nodes and labs.
After that Maison would be seeing Dr. Glasser for his chemo weekly. I met Dr. Glasser and I was immediately impressed. He is extremely intelligent and also very direct and kind. Our baby is halfway through his protocol he will be finished in Dec. I actually am dreading it. I feel better knowing that Dr Glasser sees him every 2 weeks now.it was 1x weekly at first.
If I ever call w a question he calls me back almost right away. He is extremely busy taking care of lots of animals going through the same so I very much appreciate that. He is always very nice and pleasant. Which is very important when going through something like this. Maison is doing great almost like a puppy again at times. I just wish he could stay this way forever!
I have to accept that bc of the type of cancer he has it may not be possible. I am hoping he makes it till 10!. But I will say I am glad Dr. Glasser is on this journey with us I couldn't have asked for a better Dr.to care for my baby! So if you read this Dr. Glasser ty! Some pics post dx.

The only reason why I gave two stars and not one star is because I can't blame the doctors the nurses or the staff or any of what I'm about to say. I brought my very sick cat to Garden State and they wanted to charge me $3,000 to $5,000 initially in order to save her life. I had to leave her overnight and I had to give a down payment of 75%. The doctor who tended to her was absolutely wonderful and called me right away the next day to explain how to move forward.
We started slow, which I very much appreciated and I was able to go pick her up that day which helped with cost. Unfortunately we had to move forward with additional testing and procedures however when all was said and done it was going to cost me between $5,000 and $7,000 just to diagnose her and not necessarily have a cat in the end. Unfortunately I did not have insurance on my cat so I could not move forward with anything else other than a CAT scan which cost $1, 200.
I ended up returning to my vet and we sat down and discussed how to move forward without me going broke. This experience made me understand why animals die in shelters as often as they do because hospitals like this do not make it affordable to save an animal's life, nonetheless your pet's life who is a family member. I can't even begin to imagine how many pet owners end up euthanizing their pet because they can't afford to help them and for something that probably is treatable.
Pet insurance is an additional monthly cost which a lot of people don't have especially during these very challenging times when we're lucky to be working or being able to put food on our table. I have been so upset about my experience; again not with the doctors nurses or staff they can actually teach North Star a thing or two about communicating with clients, but just the cost to save your pet's life. Very sad and disturbing to me. I still can't speak about this experience without getting emotional.

So I had my girl Cali here for several reasons. Mostly for seizures and Dr. Kay is outstanding. She was only 7 months old when everything started and from start to finish he was extremely professional and very helpful with her situation. We also had to get surgery done because she did rupture the tendons in her patella and I can't express how grateful I am to everyone who worked on her up until the day she passed away.
Even though she was a stubborn girl everyone treated her like they were her own pet. Now I've got another dog named river who has been there a few times now and let me tell you Dr. Dziedzic is absolutely amazing. Always keeps me informed on what's going on and keeps me assured that my baby is doing well. Even though we are trying to know exactly what is going on being that she is only 5 months old.
Thank you to everyone who I've had the pleasure dealing with throughout being there with both of my puppies to the doctors, technicians, assistants and front desk staff I really appreciate everything you guys do.
