I had a nice experience with our puppy at this place so when our other dog got sick, I wanted to make an appointment with them too. She was not eating or playing while she was unusually vomiting and pooping around the house. The earliest date was three weeks later by which time our dog was better. But I told the staff that she was very sick for several weeks and explained all the symptoms although she looked ok now. They said only a rather expensive blood test might tell why she was sick before and I agreed right away for any cost to make sure she was ok or needed further care. They called a couple days later to say that the blood results were okay, our dog is healthy and it could have been just anxiety or something different she ate. We were very happy because she was the main support for our sick daughter.
When she started showing the same signs after six weeks (refusing to eat, vomiting and pooping very little and greasy), I called their office right away. But they were not able to take her earlier than two weeks. I decided to wait for a couple of days for her to get better again and then just drive there without appointment and make a scene if necessary. But she got very bad the next evening and I drove her to 1st Pet in Chandler which was open at night. That's where they diagnosed cancer with two large tumors in her belly within 15 minutes. With a simple ultrasound device. They said we could try to find a specialist to remove them but it would take days to find someone available and Zora wouldn't get through a day at most. And she died in my arms within four hours.
You can imagine the shock we had. We had all the time in the world to do something for our beloved dog and this hospital wasted that time with false information. We are still in pain. Our daughter is struggling with her own therapy and all this was at our expense. They did not do anything to fix their gross mistake or malpractice.
Just stay away from this place.

This morning I woke up to my dog breathing abnormally and displaying really low energy, it scared us. We had also just dealt with my other dog having a terrible allergic reaction over the weekend and had been monitoring her more so after that and I thought I'd be calling the vet for her this morning to schedule her in. She did improve over the span of 48hrs of her allergic reaction(Benadryl is a life saver) I called frantic and they managed to squeeze us in right away to take x-rays of his lungs and found that he has bronchitis.
I am so happy they were able to accommodate us. I know how busy their clinic is, and despite some of the negative comments/reviews, I even recall being frustrated over wait times and appointment availability in the past, they really do care and Dr. Larson is attentive & professional. Thank you MAH for taking care of our community pets.

We were seen here on Apr 12 & Apr 13 & immediately as we came on Apr 12 we were greeted by their very busy receptionists with kindness. They pointed us to where our babies Wyle & Patricia will be seen to have their vaccines. Then the next day we came back for their major dental surgery for baby Wyle & as well baby Patricia had her 3 teeth pulled. They called us after the surgery to let us know how our babies were doing as well as when they woke up ready to go home after.
They treated us with utmost respect & courtesy & answered all our questions. We highly recommend this place to get our pets treated & highly recommended for excellent customer service. Thank you staffers fr Maricopa Animal Hospital.

I am so pleased with the staff and service at Maricopa AH. We were from out of town when our dog had complications and we had to rush him to the hospital. They took him in immediately. Sadly, he wasn't able to make it through. The staff was very considerate and went above and beyond to ensure we had special memories of him, including ashes and a paw print. Cannot recommend these people highly enough, as they helped us through the very difficult situation.

These people are caring and helpful.i had to make the decision of having my fur baby put down after 12 years. They were kind, helpful and consider it. We just moved here and haven't had to think of a vet yet then my 12 year old puppy took a turn for the worse. I explained to them what was going on and they were able to fit us in that day with in a hour or so. They were very helpful. Thanks again for making a hard decision bearable.

I had a "nice" conversation with the staff and that is the reason I am giving 2 stars. When you call an animal hospital and tell them that your very old dog is NOT EATING and needs to be put to sleep, it is BEYOND RIDICULOUS that they would even suggest "we have an appointment on January 14th" - it's December 28th! :

Warning graphic pictures and story! Took my dog in in January to get spayed amd he cherry eye fixed in both eyes. Day one stitches popped out in one eye. I called and they blamed me because the cone had slipped off for about 5 minutes. So they said she could have rubbed her eye. So I accepted this. Paid several hundred dollars for surgeries and antibiotics.
Then over $300 for the eye that they stitches popped out of. Then, a few weeks later the cherry eye pops out of the other eye. I call and call leave messages, told that someone will call back. By mid February finally get a call back. Then my dog gets scheduled for eye repair again, and during this time she goes into heat after she was spayed in January.
This is February, a few weeks after she was supposed spayed. I am told that I have for pay for all her meds, anesthesia for repair of the mistake the clinic did. And only offered antibiotics for my dog going into heat, cause the doctor thinks it is Not a mistake they made, but maybe a cyst inside her. I ask if any tests were done, if they tested her blood for hormones, or did a scan?
I am told, no. So I get angry. I want my dog fixed. Then the doctor. Calls me back to tell me they are not going to fix my dog, and for me to take my dogs elsewhere. Since then my dog almost went blind from the botch job they did and she will require 2 eye ointments for the rest of her life as well as SHE IS IN HEAT AGAIN, AFTER THEY SUPPOSEDLY SPAYED HER IN JANUARY.
I received a call and hour after the vet. Called me from an insurance guy (in Feb). To tell me that I need. Records and they may consider paying me back for the surgeries the clinic did. When the other vet clinic I ended up taking my dog to sent several Messages to MARICOPA ANIMAL HOSPITAL, as well as phone calls, requesting said records, the clinic never replied, no made any effort to send records. DO NOT RISK YOUR PETS HEALTH! GO ELSEWHERE!

I have been a long time customer at Maricopa Animal Hospital but today was above and beyond. I called today and let them know my girl was sick. I recently had surgery and am not able to drive. My wife was at work and wouldn't be home until late After explaining my situation and the fact my dog has a recurring problem and we knew she needed an injection, within an hour 2 vet techs were at my home with the shot she needed. Thanks again
