Omro Animal Hospital was founded in 1954 as a mixed animal practice. As of 2007, the decision was made to make the practice a companion animal practice. We perform routine exams, vaccinations, and surgeries and have our Winneconne location that can do routine wellness exams by appointment. We provide your pets with high-quality, professional medical care in a safe and gentle environment.

The Omro Animal Hospital was started in 1954 by Dr. James Tomasek and functioned for nearly 25 years as a solo mixed animal practice with a major emphasis on large animal services. Dr. Tomasek built a new clinic facility in 1980, with Dr. Philip Johnson joining in 1982. In 1983, a veterinary clinic in Neenah, Wisconsin, discontinued a satellite clinic in Winneconne that operated for about three years as a companion animal facility.
We provide your pets with high-quality, professional medical care in a safe and gentle environment. From preventative care to surgery to dentistry, we strive to offer the best in affordable, quality veterinary care. All of the services listed below are offered at Omro Animal Hospital. At this time, we only offer wellness visits at our Winneconne location.
Known in a larger sense as the "Fox Cities" for their location in the Fox River Valley, the cities of Appleton, Oshkosh, Neenah and Fond du Lac surround Lake Winnebago. It has a nice small town center with good parks and inner residential neighborhoods. Oshkosh has the usual Wisconsin assortment of dairy products, agriculture, and light manufacturing.
If this is an emergency, or if your pet needs urgent care, please call one of our locations for a faster response. Payment is due in full at the time that services are performed. If being admitted into the hospital, we cannot begin the care of your Pet until you have confirmed your desire to do so by 1) signing the client consent & estimate form, and 2) leaving an initial deposit of 50% of the upper end of the estimate. This is the only way that we have of knowing for certain that you want us to proceed with the care of your Pet.

We always get the best care at Omro Animal Hospital! All of the staff are extremely friendly and professional. We have had several of the vets see our dog and they are all excellent. They are always helpful in answering any questions and they take great care of our dog. I would highly recommend this clinic!

Omro Animal Hospital is always so kind & welcoming upon arrival. Dr. Terry is so good with our dog, who tends to hide under my arm during the exam. She is kind, caring and answers all my questions. The vet technicians are just as sweet with Winston, especially performing thorough blood work. I love that all the bill transactions are done in the room. Recently our little girl was having some difficulty and we could tell she was in pain. We called and were given the same day appointment. The Omro Anomal Hospital has multiple veterinarians who meet with me and my dog during visits. They spend enough time with you and your pet to get to know the situation, or just to check in for an annual appointment. They are thorough, listen and provide top notch care. The vet techs are great, also! I'd highly recommend to anyone seeking care for your pet.

We love Omro Animal Hospital! The staff are so understanding with my dog who has major leash anxiety and they work with us to make sure he's as comfortable as possible while there. We had our sweet puppy neutered and they did such a wonderful job! Dr. Terry is an outstanding veterinarian! You can't even see where the operation happened. They also did a follow up call to check on him 2 days after. I highly recommend this clinic and wish there were more vet's and tech's in our world like the ones that work here!

Friendly and affordable vet! I live in Oshkosh and am willing to drive the 30min with unhappy cats meowing their displeasure because the staff and doctors are that good! They put my cats at ease quickly and are so gentle and kind to them! They answered all my questions in simple terms so I understood them but weren't condescending about it. It's also ran in a way that keeps their prices low so it's more affordable for tight budgets. I highly recommend going to them!
