Airy Animal Hospital, our goal is to provide our patients with compassionate, quality veterinary care in a friendly, clean and accessible environment. With an emphasis on client education, preventative medicine, and personal service, our doctors and staff provide the same level of care for your family pets as we would for our own.
Here at Mt. Airy Animal Hospital, we always welcome new clients and patients to our full service veterinary practice in Mt. We know you will be very happy with our services. Our veterinarians and staff are devoted to staying on top of the latest diagnostics, treatments, and wellness programs to maintain your pet's optimal health.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.
We had an emergency with our cat on a Saturday. Mt. Airy Animal Hospital got us right in- they even stayed late for us and saved me a trip to the ER. Dr. Chaconas and his staff were absolutely wonderful with my dog Tessa! She is very timid, but they took their time and she was wagging her tail and giving kisses by the end of her visit! We will definitely come back.

Mount Airy Animal Hospital's team from receptionist, technicians & vets are exceptional. Such a wonderful service to our community! The loving care they all show for our pup, Brady, reassures us we've found the right vet. Affectionately referred to as Brady the Lover, he's eager to return to the office! That's a testimonial in itself! Additionally, they work with our schedules so Brady's seen in a timely manner! Highly recommended!

I wanted to thank Dr. Chaconas and his team for providing the most compassionate care that's ever serviced my family. I'm very impressed by the care my dog has received from his team. They have always put my dog's emotional health first and made sure he was comfortable and relaxed during his visits. We've always had very good positive experiences and were provided personalized care. This vet office treats your pet as their own baby and I'm very grateful to have found such a caring office to go to.

Compassionate & quickly responsive to my puppy's emergency needs. Professional, loving staff that make my puppy comfortable. He is never afraid to go with them into the clinic as I sit in the car & wait for a phone call from Doctor Chaconas, who quickly gets back to me! Blessed to have this benevolent veterinarian in Mount Airy.

We had to have a pet rabbit put down. This was litter trained house pet so he was part of the family. We had a bad experience that last time we had one put down and went in search of a new vet. Dr. Chaconas and his tech Jaki were great in a very hard situation. They came to our house so so the rabbit would be more calm. They took their time and did not rush us. They were kind and very gentle with our bunny. I highly recommend them.
